the joever issue i think some people keep missing/misconstruing is that a need for privacy, while productive in some ways, got to the point where it made it challenging for them to have a life, and was seemingly beginning to make it harder for her to do aspects of her job (and yet she bent anyway to make it work). and that’s a much bigger problem, especially if you’re not getting any of the payoff for those choices in re: a future and forward momentum in the relationship. but anywya
