nori. oh nori WHY ;;;;

this panel hit me especially hard bc i can fully relate to that feeling of knowing that you’re not destined for a future in a certain field, but still wanting to give your all while you still can. undoubtedly you’ll regret it if you don’t, even if you burn out while trying. we’ve been watching nori grow in skill and confidence up until now and it’s really painful to see how all his effort up till now might end just like that, even if it’s for his own good...

miyuki’s shock here is also really striking. it’s like he’s never even considered the possibility that nori isn’t going to pursue baseball after high school. i wonder if this is another hint at how miyuki’s plans for the future are still quite ambiguous.. though i'm fairly set on the idea that he’ll go to college first before going pro, recently i’ve been a bit scared that tj-sensei is gonna throw a total curveball and have him quit baseball altogether (i’m prepared for anything at this point). but i think his reaction here also shows how his perspective has changed from the nabe incident, and how he’s grown as a teammate and a captain. we’ve also seen that he respects nori quite a bit as a pitcher (considering him the ace of their generation) for his skill and dedication.

i 100% don’t want him to play (or warm up at all for that matter) for the sankou match so i hope kataoka is actually sensible about this. tj-sensei i am Begging you do not have the team fall apart here. they need to make it through to koshien so nori can recover by then and pitch

30 day free trial (misawa) / Professional baseball player Miyuki Kazuya and beloved pop idol Sawamura Eijun become friends, move in together, get married, and fall in love. Not necessarily in that order. (cute!)

princess carry (furuharu) / six times furuya picked haruichi up for absolutely no good reason at all (CUTE + fun background shenanigans ft. mostly eijun + s1 cast);

and nothing more or less (kuraryou) / ryousuke and youichi: a year in the life, and a chronicle in keeping time for one another. (post-canon, lovely);

Interconnected (koutaku) / Okumura Koushuu is not very observant, but eventually he has to realize that his teammates are also his friends. (dying for more act II first years interactions, and this is it!!);

followed & led (koutaku) / One day, Koushuu realizes that Taku is his friend. (noticing a trend here with okumura-POV fic lol... okumura + seto over the years, fabulous);

He Drives Me Crazy (But He’s Cute) (misawa) / Miyuki Kazuya has an epic crush on his tragic dingbat of a roommate. (love a miyuki equally exasperated & resigned to his attraction to eijun lol);

“Something to Look Forward To” (misawa) / (Miyuki gets Eijun a birthday present. Adore!);

late to the game (misawa) / Kazuya can’t tell which is more embarrassing–the fact that he had thought something like that about Sawamura, the resident idiot of the team, or that he almost hadn’t caught said idiot’s pitch because of it. (partners in everything, including getting together!!);

Luck of the Draw (misawa) / It's time for the NPB draft, and all Eijun wants is to be a battery with Miyuki Kazuya again. (tasty pro!msw morsel)

low-key sads 

take two (sawami, nsfw) / Miyuki hasn't seen Sawamura in years, and he's quite happy to keep it that way. Sawamura has other ideas. (canon divergent future AU where miyuki doesn’t play anymore, stings in a wonderful way);

a lie in three parts (misawa, nsfw) /  alternatively: Miyuki and Sawamura steal each other's lives without ever knowing it and pay the price for their affections with a sacrifice that nobody asked them to make. (heist AU, my second greatest weakness after childhood friends + the sheer yearning...!!)
