walking to class with james potter

he always gathers all his things five minutes before class is over and moves towards the door so he can be the first one out. once class is dismissed, he sprints as fast as he can (sometimes racing sirius) to your class. you on the other hand, don't even begin to pack your things until after the class has been dismissed. for a couple reasons, the first being that you want to knock out as much homework as possible, and the second being that it gives james enough time to get there from his own class.

when he finally gets to your class, he spins you around before bringing you back into a kiss and holding your hand as he walks you to your next class. sometimes you'll joke about how out of breath he is or if sirius is there as well, you'll congratulate him on winning the race, even though 9.999 times out of 10 james wins. sirius catches on and it annoys james to no end, making him pout and hold onto your hand even tighter so you can't leave until you apologize and give him another kiss.

most of the time it means james is late to class, but he couldn't care less because he got to spend more time with you.

doing james potter's makeup

james potter would adore you to no end, no matter what you did. including when you'd ask to do his makeup. james never really wore any, but he knew of it. he'd watch his mother put it on when he was younger and pout, not understanding why she would do it.

when you suggesting doing it for him, he smiled at the idea and said nothing, rather sitting and waiting for you to do your work. he'd watch your every move, what brushes you'd use or what went where on his face. in fact, he'd pay such good attention that he would miss anything you said to him, but when you'd ask if he was listening, he'd just smile up at you, completely happy in the moment.

later down the line, if you'd want your makeup done but had no energy to do it yourself, james would be right there offering to do it for you. you'd be hesitant at first until he starts and you realize that he had been paying attention to when you did his.

"you were paying attention."

"'course i was. it was you." and as cheesy as it may sound to some, that's how he really felt, because you're his everything.

ri’s note: first work on here :)) i love azriel sm so this was purely self indulgent. this may be a little ooc, but hopefully not too much. enjoy!

at first, azriel wouldn’t believe that the cauldron had chosen you to be his mate. 

you — the most kindest, smartest, ethereal person he knew, you were his mate. 

he wouldn’t really know how to express himself, he’d just knew that he was in love with you, he thought you were amazing.

but he secretly yelled at himself, after all, you’d been friends for so long, how could he have not realised that you were his mate? of course, cassian and rhys found this absolutely hilarious, the girl they thought to be their sibling being one of their mates.

at times he could be a bit insecure and self conscious. he felt that you were too good for him, that someone like you could never love someone broken like him. 

he’d have a hard time opening up to you about these things. even though he trusts you fully, there’d still be moments where he’d find it hard to speak to you about his past and his trauma, but he always feels better every time he tells you something. sometimes when words aren’t enough, he’ll push his emotions down your bond, hoping you’d be able to understand and grasp at what he was trying to communicate. and when you send back comfort and your patience and understanding, he finds himself having a bit of peace and gratitude from being able to communicate with you, even if it isn’t verbally. 

although, when he’s mentally exhausted, or when you two are just together, he does find it comforting when you two are basking in each other’s presence, soft kisses and murmuring “i love you”’s to each other. 

azriel definitely hugs you by covering you both with his wings, cocooning you both inside. mostly to hide from cassian’s teasing, but he loves having you all too yourself and the feeling of wrapping you in himself. he’ll draw little circles on your waist using his thumb and holds you tight against his chest. it drives him crazy when your hands around his neck gently creep up to scratch his hair at the back of his head. he finds it so comforting and relaxing, he swears he could fall asleep then and there, especially if you’re both in bed. 

azriel is 100% protective over his bae. he’ll send his shadows to look after you when he’s not there. (they love you just as much as he does). if something happens to you, he’ll be aware, and sometimes this comes in handy, especially if you are on a mission and something goes wrong. 

IF something goes wrong, azriel would so track down who did it and how it happened. HE’S SO “WHO HURT YOU,” ENERGY UGHH. he’d be a mini sherlock homes, but then turn into a serial killer because he loves you that much, he’d do anything to protect you. of course, he’ll make sure you’re ok first (you’re his first priority always), and if he knows you’re not ok with what he would do to whoever hurt you, well he’s at least gonna leave who ever it was in a bit of a mess. 

he’s always got a hold of you somehow. whether is his hands on the small of your back, gently keeping you close enough that other people know you’re his, but not clingy enough to make you feel uncomfortable. he likes keeping you close and feeling your warm, your presence. he could be intoxicated by you forever. 

when the mating bond first snapped into place, az was WAY more overprotective of you than you’ve ever seen him. he didn’t let anyone come near you, he full growled when cassian came near you and tried to hug you. but this did have its perks, after all, you two got the whole town house to yourselves for an entire week. he enjoys having you all to himself, azriel doesn’t share. 

part of it is fuelled from his insecurities: he doesn’t want to lose you to someone else because he wasn’t good enough for you. poor boy’s had his heart broken one too many times, he’s scared that you’re going to disappear one day as well. even though you’ve reassured him multiple times, he still feels nervous, but deep down he knows you’re the one. 

but when he’s mad, BOY is it hot. there was this one time where the inner circle were at rita’s and the girls were dancing and all of a sudden some random guy comes up to you and tries to dance on you. naturally, azriel got up from from the bar and was full about to beat the shit out of this guy. but of course, you pulled the guys hands, twisted them with little strength necessary and kneed him in the groin. azriel couldn’t help the look of shock on his face, but a glimmer of pride shone inside of him. rhys and cassian were howling with laughter. cassian commenting “that’s our girl,” and rhys replying with “you never had anything to worry about, she was raised by us, remember?” and then when you came slumping down in the seat next to azriel with a groan, the boys start laughing even more. you gave them a little smirk and cuddled into your mate, who slowly wrapped an arm around you, embracing your touch. but az had sent a shadow after that guy, tracked him down and taught him a lesson — no one messes with his girl. 

azriel loves seeing you get all dolled up to go out. before you go out anywhere, whether it’s with the the whole inner circle or just the girls, az will be there with you, watching as you pick your outfit (sometimes picking it for you if you’re in decisive), watching as you do your hair and makeup and pick our jewellery. he thinks you’re the most beautiful fae — no the most beautiful creature in the entire world. he’s mesmerised by your. he doesn’t understand why you wear makeup, but if you feel better and confident, then he’s all for it.

he thinks you’re beautiful with and without make up. sometimes when you can’t get the clasp of a necklace you’re putting on, and ask for azriel’s help, he’ll gladly come and put it on for you. moving your hair to the side of your neck, he gently takes the two ends of the chain, fingers gently brushing against your neck as he feeds the necklace into the chain. he’ll press gentle kisses along your neck, then place his arms around your waist as he stared at the two of you in the reflection of your vanity mirror. “you’re so beautiful,” he’d murmur into your hair, and even though he thinks you can’t hear him, it warms your heart. 

date nights with azriel are pretty simple. he likes spending time with you more than the actual date itself, and he knows that you appreciate the smaller things in life. his favourite date is probably flying with you to watch the stars under his favourite spot. at first it was hard, but you two would teleport through his shadows, a little further away from the sight seeing spot. then he’d get you to jump in your arms and hold you really close and fly you through the sky so you could experience it as well. after a while, you’d both come down and watch the stars together on top of a hill, with a little picnic azriel had prepared before hand. 

he would tell you all about the different constellations and celestial bodies in the universe, and how everything was created. he’s also tell you that this was his favourite spot to to to when things got tough for him or when he felt alone. he wanted to share it with you as well. “look, it’s a shooting star make a wish azzy,” you’d point at the bright light gliding through the air. holding you tight, his arms and wings wrapped around you, he’d close his eyes and wished to be able to be with you for the rest of eternity. 

az would definitely train with you, he knows you’re strong and tests you to your limits. he’ll teach you new things and point out corrections in your technique, although it’s rare. he loves teaching you new stuff, and showing off his moves to you. he also loves it when you’re both sparring and you sweep him when he’s caught off guard, pushing yourself on top of his abdomen and straddling him. it drives him nuts when you lean down to his ear, wisps of hair grazing his face and you whisper, “got you,” ever so cheekily. (he’d want to take you then and there). 

mornings with azriel would start off with him groaning when you tried to move out of bed, pulling you back into his chest. his grip on your waist would tighten and he’d try to bring you back. “don’t go, stay for 5 more minutes please,” he’d protest, deep voice still half asleep and you’d stay because how could you not, when he asked you so nicely? he’d kiss your hair and gently card his fingers through it, scratching your scalp. when he hears you sigh in content and comfort, he’d smile into your hair. he loves it when you slide your hands up his shirt and gently trace shapes against the contours of his abs and chest. he’d shudder a little from how it tickles, but he still savours your touch. when the light creeps into your room, you reluctantly come out of the covers, dragging a grumpy azriel out with you. 

his favourite part of you is probably how well you fit into him; it’s like you’re both pieces of a puzzle, curves of your body fitting into the muscles he’d formed over centuries of training and work. he loves hearing your voice, your laughter. he was surprised when you actually laughed at his dark humour jokes when he hadn’t expected anyone but himself to laugh at. he can’t get enough of your smell, he loves resting his face in your hair, in your chest, just to be able to get a faint whiff of your shampoo and body wash. your personality and how well you click with him is another thing he loves. he’s so thankful that you understand him, that you’re there for him. you picked up the pieces of his heart and glued them back together, one by one with your love. 

this boy is like a cat. you’d be sitting there reading and all of a sudden he’d come and rest his head in your lap. you’d raise a brow at him but he doesn’t say anything and you can tell this is one of his more exhausting days. gently, you’d rake your fingers through his hair, nails pressing against his scalp and gliding up and down. he’d hum in content and mumble “read to me,” and so you did, reading to him about the story of 4 sisters who were special each in their own way, and their journey through winters and wars, soirées and boys and how they helped each other through life. you’d sit there for hours, enough time for you to read the whole book to him. even though he had dozed off a while ago, you still read the book to him, smiling at the peacefulness on his face. eventually you fall asleep as well, the fire in the hearth and each other’s presence keeping you both warm. 

his pet names for you would be pretty simple. he’d lean more towards something that would have a backstory, a name that meant something to both of you. he’d call you ‘my star,’ because of how much you like watching the stars with him. he’d call you ‘baby,’ and ‘angel,’ as well, he felt like those weren’t too cheesy and meant something and expressed his love as well. he loves it when you call him ‘azzy,’ or ‘baby,’ as well, if it’s coming from anyone else, he would have beaten them up, but the nickname ‘azzy,’ sounds cute when it’s coming from you.

you’d say the most random things to him and he’d actually be like “what the hell is actually wrong with you,” confused and trying to process what you’d just said. “hey azzy, when you’re flying, if you just like stopped flying mid air, would you fall, or would you stay upright? cause if you fell, i’d laugh.” he’d be dumbfounded and shake his head. “you’re an idiot,” he’d say, a small chuckle on his face. “an idiot ready to catch you if you fell, you should appreciate that!” 

the first time you told him you loved him azriel almost speechless. he knew he loved you, but never had he verbally expressed it, he just thought it was a mutual agreement that you two were mates and that he loves and cares for you. and then he really was speechless when you told him how much you love him, not because of the confession and what you said, but because of how raw and real these feelings were. 

“i love you azriel. you’re my mate, my best friend, my lover, the only one for me. i love every part of you, no matter what you think, you are not broken. and if you ever become broken, i will always be here to help you. i love every part of you,” you took his hands in his and kissed his bare knuckles on both hands. “your hands are beautiful, they’re a part of who you are.” you reached out with one hand and traced the outside of his membraneous wings, stroking them slightly. “i love your wings, they suit you so much, they’re so precious, i wish i could have your gift of flight, but i’m so glad you’ve shared it with me.” you embraced him and held him tightly. it took him a while to hug you back, but he did, wings soon following. “i love you azriel, you as a whole. my handsome, sweet, azriel.” he didn’t know how to respond, he thought for a while and whispered in your ear, “i love you too,” pushing all his emotions, all his love down your bond. 

he loves strolling through velaris with you. it’ll start by visiting a few patisserie shops, picking up a few favourites. this man definitely loves chocolate croissants, and pays for both your treats, despite your attempts to pay. you’d go to a few book shops and when he remembers the novels you had recently mentioned you wanted to read, he immediately asks for them and buys them for you as well. despite your pouting and refusal to accept the gift, you don’t miss the slight smile on his face when you gleam with joy as you pick us the books he bought you. he’d take you to the park and the two of you would be comfortable together, sitting down and talking about things together in between bites of food.

there could be some days when azriel locks up and doesn’t communicate with anyone, a brooding mess that you’re left to deal with. his already hard to read face would be twisted into a semi permanent snarl, offering little to no response in conversations. eventually he’ll feel comfortable enough to open up to you and realise that no matter what you’re always there for him.

when you get into a fight, he hates it because he’s scared he’ll lash out and do something he’ll regret. he’d never physically hurt you, but he’d have trouble getting a hold of the situation if it’s really bad. he’d yell a lot, pace around the room and move away from you out of fear. it wouldn’t be out of jealousy, or any other trigger,  just pure pent up frustration that he’d need to take out with someone, that someone unfortunately being you. but after a bit of a cool down, he’d realise that maybe he’d need to apologise. but he’d also love angry sex. 

ugh, angry sex is either up against the wall with your legs around his hips, one hand holding you up, the other around your neck, choking you as he thrusted fast, hasty kisses pressing hard against your mouth or him doing you hard and fast from behind, pulling you by your hair so your back was up against his chest, him sucking on your neck, whispering dirty things in your ear. 

he thinks he’s the most luckiest person in all of prythian to have you. he really loves you and thinks his heart would break into a million pieces without you in his life
