Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you
Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.

Power of the Moon
The wind was cold on the skin of her face, despite the enclosed room she inhabited. She felt the dead cold of winter but inside her. As she sat on the cold marble floor, lost in her thoughts, she knew it was a mix of guilt and fear. Guilt and fear for what she was about to do.
She was snapped out of her thoughts by the echoing of footsteps. She hadn't heard a door open. There was only one door in the entire building. She knew because she'd checked every inch of the place. Once, then twice, then thrice more before the ice nipping at her toes became too much for her. It had to be the creature she summoned.
She had just stood to wait for the creature to reach her when a thought crept into her mind. As a hunter, she knew how to create a summoning spell. A powerful one that could summon even the most elusive beasts, but this beast she summoned was known for being able to evade the kind of spells her class of hunters could get their hands on. That was why she had been fearful for summoning it.
She took off in a run, racing the opposite way in which the footsteps echoed. The building was composed of many halls and doorways. The labyrinth-like structure had been easy to find her way through, but that was when she hadn't been running frantically through it. But she didn't pay any special attention to where exactly she was going, just that she had to get away.
Her thoughts were jumbled with ideas of how to get out, scolding herself on her stupidity, and pray for God's help. She ran past an altar, fresh flowers on it despite the grueling winter. She'd seen it when she walked in. She pushed everything out of her head, except for the specific steps she had to take.
Turning a corner she saw the light of the moon shining through the shrine entrance. She pumped her legs as hard as she could manage, straight into that light and out of the temple. She continued to run until the neared the stairs where she slowed her run until she came to a complete stop. She panted as she tried to even her breathing and calm her rapidly beating heart.
She heard footsteps echoing on the stone behind her. She fell to her knees, the fear now overwhelming. She kept absolutely still as the steps grew nearer, even though the beast could see her. She was frozen in fear, her blood running cold. This was it. This was the end.
"If you're going to continue to be this unresponsive then maybe I should just leave," the boy's voice was silvery and clear, with a subtle tone of indifference. Willing her shaking legs to drag her body off the ground, she turned to face him.
To say she wasn't shocked would be a blatant lie. Not because she was horribly disfigured, but because he was a boy. Just a boy. The moon shining directly on him made his hair appear silver. His eyes were a dazzling blue that she could see despite the gap between them. She could also tell that he was shorter than her.
She carefully approached him. He wore standard winter clothes, a warm coat, dark pants, boots and a scarf wrapped around his neck. Being only a few feet between them now, she could she the pink in his cheeks and his puffs of breath.
He glared at her,"Well?"
"No! Don't leave, please," she begged.
He rolled his eyes at her,"That was a joke. I wouldn't have shown up just leave without hearing you out," he stared right at her. His eyes bore into her making her shiver. She felt as though he was looking at the very essence of her soul. His eyes snapped up to hers,"What is it that made a hunter like you call someone like me?" He circled her.
"Is it power?" she shook her head.
"Greed?" a soundless no.
He stopped abruptly, stepping directly into her personal bubble, too close for comfort. A knowing look in his eyes telling her he knew exactly what she wanted.
"You may not think it as such, but what you're asking for is simply a form of greed," he whispered softly, gaze never wavering. She tried to speak, but the creature didn't let her.
"She's dying, Miss Chambers," she flinched at the sound of her family name. "She's dying and you want me to save her,"
"A hunter as powerful as her can't be done in by an illness. It's dishonorable to her legacy! How is that greedy of me" she shouted. The beast drew back, circling her once again"Greed is selfish desire, whether it be for money, power," he paused for a second to look at her," or someone's life."
She looked down, ashamed of herself, but could help but ask,"Will you not help me, then?"
He laughed.
"I don't help anyone. I make deals with people uncaring of the consequences that follow. A deal with a hunter is certainly worth my time. It's a deal I'm more than willing to make!"
She looked warily at him,"Then show me a contract. I will make you that deal."
He rolled his eyes."A paper contract is as worthless as the money you humans throw at each other." he snapped his fingers and a burning feeling erupted on her shoulder. She gasped at the pain and grasped the area.
She heard the creature sign wistfully,"It's true what they say, children really do follow in their parent's footsteps"It was then that the burning stopped. She pulled at her sleeve, gazing at the red mark that blemished her skin. She looked up only to see the boy was now gone. She looked at the mark again, her eyes devoid of any feeling.
She'd done it. She saved her sister, but at what cost? She made a deal with the very devil that had killed their mother and father. She felt empty inside realizing that the monster had been waiting for her to call upon him.
She and her sisters had searched for the beast that had killed their parents. Without any clues and without and resources. They fought the harshness of the world together with the silent promise that when they found that Daemon, they would make it feel the pain they felt. Their promise was not to entertain the beast.
She left once the aching numbed.

Shade of Light
Panting heavily, the girl raced down the sparsely lite stone paths. Running blindly, in the maze of streets, trying to escape her captors. Her wrists were bruised  red from the ropes that once bound them. She was weak and tired, but she  couldn't stop running now, they would catch her. She had to find it.  She knew she was nearby, but she didn't know where exactly it was.
A dark shape jumped  overhead, landing right in front of her. She skid to a stop and stared  helplessly at the man in front of her. His ebony eyes were cold, his   skin pale in the moonlight. He wore a dark red cloak, dark enough to   make the blood of hers that stained it look like that particular spot   was bleached.
Taking a large gulp of air, she croaked out a plea,"Let me go, please, leave me be...". The man scoffed at her.
"You're a moron if you believed I would ever do that. You're my prisoner and I do intend to keep you as such."
The wind picked up   sending the sweet scent of blossoms to the girl's nose. The scent of   spring. She calmed her labored breathing. How long had she'd been held   captive? It was mid-Autumn the last time she saw the light of day.
She was backed into a   corner. She hated that feeling of helplessness. He took cautious steps   toward her. She stepped back, unable to anything else. She closed her   eyes as the palms of her hands came into contact with the cool stone   wall behind her. She took a deep breath, breathing in those blossoms.   She opened her eyes.
The man stopped is   approach and jumped back, cursing," You shouldn't have the strength,"   his voice trembled as he stared into her eyes, glowing a ghastly pink.
"You should know better than to mess with the Ventores Clan,"power flowed into her body, fueling  her confidence. The man swallowed," I defeated you once, I can do it  again!"
"No, you cannot, foolish  Hunter," the familiar smooth tone of voice of her master flowed through  the air like the wind. Cold. The Hunter trembled as the Pure-blood  Daemon came into view. Dressed in a simple white button-up with a black  vest, he seemed like a business man taking a stroll. No threat there.  But his eyes, glowing a violent red, they were what made the hunter's  blood run cold.
'Blood' he thought,' The color of his eyes.'
Despite the fear and   hopelessness coursing through his veins, the Hunter pulled his gun out   of it's hiding stop and raised it, shakily to the Daemon. Said Daemon   chuckled,"I am not where you can reach," he disappeared in a cloud of   mist, dissipating into night.
He shifted as quick as   he could to the other Daemon, but he was too late. The sharp fangs that people used to create the idea of vampires sunk into his skin, biting   into the bone of his arm. He would have screamed, but the sharp claws   people identified as the claws of a wolf-man sunk into his chest,   straight into his heart. Taking the pressure off the hunter's wrist and pulling her hand out of his chest, she let his lifeless body fall   soundlessly to the ground. Unfazed by the blood pooling around her bare feet, she staggered away.

Mages of Alaris
A gentle melody played on a flute wafted through the air. The men that were loading the stolen cargo onto their own ship jumped at the sudden interruption. They were greatly confused. Hadn't they thrown every one of the ship's men overboard? Where was the melody coming from?
"You morons! I told you to kill everyone!" the captain barked. They understood the silent message. Silence the survivor. Drawing their blades, the pirates crept around. Searching for the source of the sound, but when they thought they found it, it shifted elsewhere. Even after prowling every nook and cranny, they came up empty.
Their captain growled at them, insisting that they were just morons. It was then that the light of the moon shifted and a shadow cast itself around the pirates. Looking up, they found the source of the mysterious music.
Dressed in a green tunic, cream-colored pants, and dark boots, sat a man playing his tune without a care in the world. His eyes were closed as he paid no attention to the men below. After a moment of disbelieving stares, the man with the wooden flute suddenly stopped. His eyes opened, the mirth in them matching the smile on his face.
   "Hello," he greeted.
Still perplexed, the pirates could only stare at him in awe. Had he been there the whole time? How had he escaped their initial search? Their captain was the first to snap out of the trance.
"Quit acting like complete buffoons! Kill him!" his shouts snapped the others out of their daze. They raised their weapons, ready to strike, but only seconds later an ear piercing shriek echoed in the night, bringing the men to their knees.
They screamed in pain while they used their arms to try and block out the sound. They withered in pain, feeling like their ears were bleeding. They tried to wait it out, but the mysterious man continued the unbroken sound. Was he even breathing? The sound became too much for them to bare. Some of the men forced themselves on their feet and ran as fast as they could to the edge of the ship, promptly throwing themselves off and into the ice cold waters below. Many others passed out while the rest teetered between the realms of consciousness.
The man dropped down from the crows nest, finally stopping the insufferable noise as his feet touched down on the wooden floor of the ship.
The captain raised his head, shaking, ears ringing and his vision blurred. His eyes widened a fraction as he watched the air shift into a mist-like state, disappearing to reveal the ship's crew members. All unharmed and thoroughly confused. Behind them, the captain spotted a dark haired man with mist curled around the tips of his fingers before he drifted off into the darkness of his mind.
~
Jellal was quick to wrap himself and Senan in a cloak of mist. He willed their presence to disappear, allowing Senan time to change form into a giant bird. His claws grasped the other's arms, lifting them into the sky.
Jellal dispersed the mist and watched for a second as the half the crew rounded up the unconscious pirates while the other loaded their cargo back to its original place.
The two landed on the docks of a nearby port town. Senan only shifted the size of bird he was, preferring to fly rather than walk. Jellal followed closely behind him.
Following the long since memorized path to the safe house, otherwise known as the Lamb Wrought Tavern and Inn. Entering the pub, one would immediately smell the foul mixed scent of alcohol and debauchery. It made Jellal wrinkle his nose in disgust as he walked in, Senan perched on his shoulder. He weaved his way through the throng of drunkards and harlots alike, all the while scanning the crowd for the rest of their group. Or rather the ones that actually entered the bar instead of staying in their room up above the actual bar.
They found Jacian, Lysandre, Caith, and surprisingly Alarik at the far end of the bar. Jacian and Lysandre were flirting with a couple of barmaids with Caith in between them looking thoroughly annoyed and Alarik tense and uncomfortable. Expected from someone of the Northern Tribe, they were so innocent until they weren't. Jellal could never see the bar scene ever fitting the boy.
Poor Alarik kept his head down avoiding the lustful gazes of multiple women in the bar. Senan flew off Jellal's shoulder, surprising Alarik as he landed on the boy's head. Jacian and Lysandre said their goodbyes to the barmaids as they all stood up to follow Jellal upstairs.
The wooden stairs were very old, creaking under their weight. Alarik pulled out the copper key and pushed it into the keyhole, opening the door to his and Alize's room.
Normally, Jellal would protest to how highly inappropriate it was for an unmarried man to share a bed with an unwed woman, but this was Alarik! The Northern Tribe was very honorable and Alarik treated Alize like a sister. Sometimes mistakingly calling her names of endearment used by brothers to their sisters. To which he would blush and apologize the minute he realized. Honestly, the boy was far too sweet for his own good. Jacian often expressed his worry of the younger getting taken advantage of.
Senan morphed into an alarmingly large kangaroo rat and roughly jumped onto the bed waking the princess from her slumber.
She rubbed her eyes sleepily and muttered to herself. Jellal and Caith snorted at her laziness, while the other three (that weren't giant rats) smiled at her antics.
She yawned, finally focusing her attention on the men in front of her, waiting for the report.
Jellal was the first to speak. "We were able to stop all three heists with little complications but were unable to figure out who's been planning all these heists."
"I talked to a lot of thieves, but wasn't able to get anything we didn't already know," Jacian added.
"For people who thrive on the shipments coming in and out of these ports, they sure as hell don't care about their source of income disappearing," Caith grumbled under his breath.
Lysandre smiled and batted his lashes,"Perhaps they have a death wish."
The boys shivered at the dark undertone. Sometimes Lysandre was just terrifying.
Alize shook her head,"We're not killing or torturing anyone." It was unsettling how Lysandre pouted at the statement.
"How will we get the information we need, then?"Senan had shifted back into his original form and sat at the edge of the bed. "You can't believe they're not involved or don't know anything."
"Of course we don't believe them!"Caith exclaimed. "They spent the whole conversation trying to change the subject and any fool with eyes could see how tense they got when we brought it up! Hell, even Alarik could tell!"
"Hey!"Alarik was offended. Alize gave Caith a half-hearted glare, but it was Jacian that spoke. "Come on Caith. You don't think she would hire someone simply because they were good-looking do you." he reasoned.
"I didn't specifically hire him. I simply asked the Northern Tribe leader to send someone trustworthy without really specifying much else," she shrugged. Alarik visibly deflated.
"Regardless, we need a plan of action. Can't be away from Alaris for long," Lysandre reminded.
Caith and Jellal shared a look, which was then passed to Lysandre. They were going to confront the thieves, no matter what Alize said.
~
Lysandre tightened the bonds on the badly bruised thieves, greatly annoyed with their stubbornness that made the mission that much more difficult.
That morning had been filled with useless tips and leads. Lysandre didn't even want to think about how hard it had been to give Jacian the slip. Thank the gods a group of flirty girls had distracted the single-minded brunette.
He had raced as fast as he could to the previously agreed upon location, not wanting to be any later than he already was, only to find the two imbeciles chasing headless chickens. Not literally, of course. But that was the honest impression he'd gotten from the panicked youths running around like crazy. He'd been quick to pounce, knocking them out with poison-tipped daggers. Jellal then lead them to a more secluded area where the interrogation had begun.
They were now leaving in order to avoid suspicion from the others on their whereabouts. Luckily, Caith and Jellal had been grouped together that morning and with Jacian's personality, Alize would believe him if he said he ditched Jacian for being slow.
In front of him, Jellal and Caith better hid their irritation. That had only two days before they absolutely had to leave. Without anything new, they'd just be proving to Devora Llewellyn that they didn't have the ability to obtain information like she and the other nobles had. They refused to fail their princess.
~
They heard the screams before they smelled the pungency of smoke and burning flesh.
Their safehouse was bathed in flames. The worn wood easily collapsing under the weight, sending the entire building spiraling down and spreading the fire to the tight-knit buildings surrounding it.
Terror filled the air as people screamed in horror at the burning bodies running around in their attempt to douse the flames that engulfed them. Caith could only hope the others hadn't made it back.
A group of young men and women ran by with buckets overflowing with water to help the burn victims. There was nothing they could do about the actual fire itself.
Caith was about to take off to search the city when he felt a stinging on his cheek. Blood dripped down the side of his face but he didn't care. He quickly found the source of the warning attack.
"Escaped so quickly?"Lysandre asked," Oh, but I thought I good at tying knots." He knocked a fist gently on his forehead, jokingly reprimanding himself.
The thieves, or rather the assassins, they'd captured glared back at them.
"You were slow on the uptake," said the Kosali girl. "Surely you boys aren't the famed Jellal Hadrian, Lysandre Cesare, and Caith Azuolas?"
"From what our boss, I expected....much more? An actual challenge, maybe?" said the boy next to her.
In total, there were six opponents for them to face. Three to six. Easy enough, right? No, absolutely not. They were unarmed, against some of Kosale's most ruthless assassins. It was not going to be an easy fight.
Lysandre took off in a run, back whence they came. Two of the assassins easily blocked his path with their dual wielded swords. He didn't worry, though. He snapped his fingers, shadows of black whirling around the tips. He let it go, summoning a beast of black, its eyes glowing a ghostly blue. It roared letting everyone know.
He had just summoned a demon.

Take my breath away with your calm embrace In the end, it's the same We will always be, simply you and me Known by different names Back when everything was different, when you and I where still together, when our fates were not yet written and our paths not yet divided. Back then, I was filled with a warmth I had not yet come to realize was fleeting.
Deeper than gentleness, are we to find the place Where the pain doesn't flow from our fingertips? Please let one soul be formed from two, I beg of you. As fate would have it, our requiem was twisted and impaired beyond recognition. I could no longer see you, here, next to me. Your voice, much like an incessant aria was faded, but lingering in my mind.
As our hands are intertwined in uncertainty Sleep will no longer be troubled with bitter dreams. Slowly taking every step down an unknown path To a cruel new dawn. The dreams we made as children, under the guise of the night, fades into the twilight that always followed. Only this time, there would be no daybreak for it all to come back. In the world of reality resides Words of truthfullness, lost in the wordless night. Always waiting, watching, lurking away from sight Their unspoken vow... I'm sure, even now. Standing under the tree in which you were named, you told your first lie without even uttering a word. It was the silence that told me everything. That night we ignored the falling sun and stood there not saying anything. Meeting face to face in this desperate place Is a deep loneliness. Even so, all else, I won't know until We exchange a kiss. The last image of you I own is torn and worn, but your fades image still ignites hope within my heart so that it may continue to beat. With my faith, I dream to see you once again. My heart, frozen with pain, jumps for joy once again Thinking back to the memories I shared with you. Please support everything I give, for you I live. How are you? These words I will never speak to you. I’ve heard the stories, what you’ve been doing. I do not understand. Where has the you I have longed for gone? Though you cannot run away to warmth with me Sleep will no longer be troubled with bitter dreams. At the end of the path we shall overcome The new cruel dawn. I cannot forgive the evil you have done simply because I’ve done the same. The both of us cannot escape the prison of our reality. These haunting memories, do they find you too? This unearthly quietness, left alone long ago Will surely find the few true words in this world. In order to cause me the greatest pain, strike me lovingly. And surely someday... I go through each day hearing the same words come out of eveyone around me. Are you really the monster they make you out to be? All the blood on your hands and the nightmares you make, it all makes me think......
Did I ever really know you? Take my breath away with your calm embrace In the end, it's the same We will always be, simply you and me Known by different names If you and I were to stand side by side, here together, would you even remember me? Or does my memory not matter to you anymore? We are two different people from two different worlds. You fighting for “vice” and I for “virtue”, but does that mean we can’t be anything but seperate? If the cold that extends just before dawn begins Sends a shining light upon our dark world Then walk down this path we must, it's just for us.
When death follows you, whether it be as cruel as mine, burning in the flames of hate and mania or of senescence, will you promise to meet me so that we may tread into eternity, hand in hand?

The grand, seaside city of Anatole holds a secret....
With mysterious deaths beginning to spread throughout the country, the only solution is to travel to Anatole and seek out the source, but the only thing anyone will give you is advice. They point to the distance, in no particular direction and say, “It is definetly a warning signal...”
Confused and frustrated you trek mindlessly through the streets, never noticing when you made your way into the alleyways said to be like the labyrinth itself. However, you do eventually notice, but only when a little girl ran by, bumping into you, tripping you both. She took one look at you, words on the tip of her tongue, but she closes it and faster than she came, she disappears, running by you as fast as her little legs could carry.
You watch her go, not taking any offense to her actions as all the young children seemed wary of strangers. How nice to be so close to everyone in your town. You guess it’s what happens when you live in such a small town.
You try to retace your steps, but as the sunsets your realize you’ve made no progress. It’s in that moment when you’re about to give up and collapse on the side of a dumpster that you run into him. He intrduces himself as Rue, but notes it’s simply a nickname he prefers when you gave him a weird look.
He understands your situation and offers to help. With no other options, you gladly take him up on his offer. Rue makes his way through with ease, weaving swiftly through the maze of stone paved alleys.
The two of you talk idly, over nothing specific, about work and home, you even explain what your doing in Anatole and how weird you think many of the city folk are acting. His face darkens and his tone changes. His shoulders stiffen, his bright demeanor now gone. He stops you both and pulls you into a darker alleyway. He pulls you close and whispers in you ear,”Will you save us?” he asks, his voice quivering. Your eyes widen and you stumble over your words, telling him you had no idea what it was he thought you were trying to do.
Rue pulls back a little, staring you in the eye with his obsidian ones. His eyes were mesmerizing, the look of unshielded pain and agony pouring all his emotions into you. You coulding look away from his pleading eyes. You think to yourself,’Could I help them?’.
You try to think it over, but your broken out of you reverie by the sound of laughter. Rue isn’t looking at you anymore, the bangs of his hair shadow his eyes, but you can see the smirk on his face and his shoulders shaking in laughter. He backs away from you before he meets your eye again. A cold shiver makes it’s way up your spine when you see the look on his face. His eyes were cold and calculating, carrying a sense of danger.
He reaches for his back pocket and slips something out. Your eyes widen in fear when you see the pristine silver blade. He takes a step forward and you step back, but your back hits a wall. It’s a deadend. Your trapped. Rue brings his weapon up and backs you firmly against the wall. He presses the cold blade to your neck and whispers in your ear again, “What did you think was going to happen?”
The malice was evident in his voice.
“You should have listened to them,”
Your breaths are shaky, anticipating and afraid of what was surely to come.
“You really haven’t learned anything...”he trails off, running the blade alongside your neck,”but, I can’t be bothered with watching you, until you either leave and I don’t have to bother with you anymore or you somehow find a lead and I have to kill you, so why not kill two birds with one stone and get rid of you now." He smiles at you like he did when you first met, but instead of feeling happy and safe you feel fear and see that bright smile as evil rather than kindness.
He grabs a hold of your hair and pulls you towards the exit of the deadend. The tears pooling in your eyes are threatening to fall. He throwns you down against the concrete floor and you scream when the blade pierces by the small of your back.
He doesn’t say a word as he uses your hair to bare your neck and runs a clean line across it. He lets go and you bring your hands to your neck, choking, but trying to stop the bleeding in vain. Your vision starts to blurr, but you look ahead of you and you recognize your place of dying. You spoke to a woman there, she was the first one you spoke to, the first to warn you. You see on the wall a black mark, two crescent moon, one small and black, the other large and clear, there are three lines running through it. You remember that symbol. It’s the symbol of death. Of the end.
“Now you see what they were pointing at,”Rue speaks, referring to the tens of people you had spoken with.
You choke on your last breath and the darkness seizes you.
———–——–——
The sun finally sets, the light of the moon settling on Anatole.
Rue discards the blade, not caring enough to destroy any evidence. It’s not like anyone there would report the crime or do anything about the body. It would be ignored and left there to rot, some young boy would sooner or later pick up the blade to show his friends. There would be no trace left of what occur that day.
He takes one last look at the body, but fliches at the sight. It never gets easy.
He thinks to himself, ’You didn't answer fast enough, nor did I act quickly enough. We were seen, he saw us. And in order to protect her ,my only concern, he is not one I can anger,’
He walks away from the scene, fully intent on forget that person. The alley grows wider as he aproaches his destination. The red metal door can be seen in the light of the moon. It casts a menacing look with mal intent, not the kind of place one would expect to call home. However, it is his home and in that home they are waiting.
Inside he walks through the long dark corridor, into the only lite room. On the purple sofa that was pushed back into the corner was a little girl, her dark locks falling over her face. She breathed softly in her sleep, curled against the armrest. Next to her was a blonde man, eyes downcast, focusing on the book in his lap.
“Is it done?”  the blonde man asks.
“Yes” Rue replies.
“Good” the blonde man scoots over to the other side of the couch and pats the now empty spot next to the little girl. Rue complies with the request and sit down. He leans back, his eyelids now heavy.
He reflects on that day’s events before he lets himself slumber,’It is not my country in which I have betrayed, nor is it you, but myself in the hope that she can continue to live on and thrive with her days full of laughter and cheer,’  his final thought on that day, for when he wakes up, the memory of his most recent victim would be gone even if their voice was not.

Finding the perfect name for a character is difficult for me because I like to give characters a name with meaning. Such as Erica, “Ever Ruler”.

Flashback to 7th Grade
Back in 7th grade we had to write an illustrated myth, something I never bothered to finish, but I still decided to share it here.
-----
A long time ago, before the world was born into what we know today, there was very little. There were no oceans, rivers,or streams with fresh water. The few plants that existed got their water from deep beneath the soil. The entire planet was very dry.Back then the Earth had only plants and animals, until the gods decied to create a new world on it.The entire planet was very dry.The world was just born.Humans didn’t know how to hunt or what plants weren’t poisonous and which were edible and they certainly didn’t know how to dig for the fresh water. In short, there was little to eat of drink. The gods tried to help. Some showed the humans to hunt, some tauch them the difference of poisonous from edible, and others showed them how to dig for water, but these attemps almost always failed. It wasn’t long before starvation and diasease sprung up.To make matters worse, people who succeeded in learning what the gods had taught them used them for their own personal gain. They made starving people pay monney for food and if they couldn’t pay they were sevearly punished.Gaia(Ge) and Uranus hated the way the new world was turning out.Uranus hatched an idea to create god like humans to lead the new world into the right direction and heed their prayer for a peaceful world.
In another place a woman was weeping over the lose of her daughter. The woman was Demeter,Goddess of Corn and Fertility. Her daughter,Persephone, fathered by Zeus, was kidnapped by Hades,King of the Dead.Demeter felt a strong hatred towards Zeus for he had allowed Hades to go after Persephone, but she knew it wasn’t his fault.Zeus himself was nearby, standing only a few feet away from the heart-broken mother. He felt horrible for what he had done.He thought Hades would only keep the girl for a week,he had promised after all,but it had been more than a week. Before long weeks had passed months as well as days till fifteen months had passed and Hades refused to let Persephone go home. Not a word was heard from the girl. Both Demeter and Zeus worried for her.Was she alive or was she dead? They didn’t know.Zeus had sent a messenger to Hades and was currently awaiting a reply.
“King of the Gods,Zeus and Demeter,Goddess of Corn and Fertility,I come bearing good news,”said a young girl as she arrived in front of the two gods.
“Sara!”exclaimed Demeter,”What did you hear?”
“Lady Persephone is indeed alive and Hades is willing to cut a deal”replied Sara.
“What type of deal?”Zeus questioned, suspiciously. He did not like where this was going. The deal could have serious consequences.
“He asks only for a gift from the two of you,”said Sara,”with that he will release lady Persephone. However,Hades said it must be a special gift otherwise he will not go through with the deal.”
“A gift that is special?”Zeus repeats,”It won’t be easy,but it won’t be hard either.”
“Of course,”said Demeter,”we should set out right away, this new world has many wonderful treasures.Certainly one of them will be good enough.”
“Good luck!”shouted Sara,as the two gods disappeared into the dark forest. They searched all night for an exotic gift that might please Hades. They searched and searched not knowing what was about to happen.
Back with Gaia(Ge) and Uranus they were getting ready to send the seven miracles into the new world.
“Let them bring about a new age”said Gaia(Ge).
“One filled with peace and love”said Uranus, and with that the children were transported to the new world.
“It’s no use”said Demeter,”We’ve searched all across the land and back. There truly is nothing that can be of any worth to Hades.
“Don’t give up just yet,Demeter.”Zeus encouraged,”There must be something Hades would want.Just try to think of what he could want or enjoys.”
“He wants to keep my daughter and enjoys keeping her from me!”Demeter shouted.
“No no no”said Zeus.
“Well I suppose he likes souls,”she sighs,”maybe we can get him some strong and powerful ones.”
“That’s a great idea!”exclaimed Zeus,”We’ll have Persephone back in no time.”Just then seven bright lights of red, orange, yellow, green.blue, indigo, and purple flew across the sky. These lights crashed into the Earth, shaking it ever so slightly.
“What was that?”asked Demeter.
“I don’t know, but we must see what it is,”said Zeus,”it could be a threat to the new world,”They walked toward the crash sight and in the clearing they saw a beautiful waterfall. There were red flowers all around.
The two slowly walked towards the still glowing lights. The two gods were astonished, there, floating on top of the water were hand-woven baskets carrying a small child in each.Together the gods pulled the baskets out of the crystal clear waters and into the dry land.Upon further inspection, the two gods saw each child was wearing a silver necklace that had names beautifully and carefully carved into the silver.Demeter picked up one of the children whose necklace said ‘Toby Suris’.
“I feel strong magical energy from them.”said Demeter.
“Indeed”spoke Zeus,”Gaia(Ge)herself must have created them. For that reason we must protect them.
“Of course,”said Demeter,”but what if we give them to Hades instead.”
“Are you mad?!”exclaimed Zeus,”They are children,we cannot do such a thing to them!Besides Hades would never accept a child’s soul, nonetheless seven. There’s no history,no story of it life or past.”
“Yes,but we will raise them until they are old enough and then present them to Hades”Demeter explained as Zeus turned away,”Come on.You owe me for what happened to Persephone.”
“Alright”Zeus exhaled,”we will raise them till’ they are old enough to give to Hades.”With that the children’s fate was sealed.Once the two gods arrived back to heaven they locked up the children in an old castle and left them there for years to come.
                                              ~Ten Years Later~
Ten years later and nothing had changed. The children grew older, along with their power, but they were still trapped in the prison.Every night Mira would sing a lullaby so sweet  and so beautiful, that one night Queen Hera searched for it’s source and was shocked to what she discovered and it wasn’t long for her to find the reason for their imprisonment,to which she was greatly angered. She enlisted the help of her close friends:Athena and Poseidon.Hera explained what she had saw and the two other gods couldn’t believe it.They immediately agreed to help and Poseidon left to search for a place to hide the children.Meanwhile Hera and Athena went down to speak the the prisoners.
“Hello”greeted Hera,”I am Queen of the gods,Hera,Goddess of Childbirth and Marriage.”
“I am Athena,Goddess of Arts,Crafts, and War.”Athena explained,”We are here to set you free.”
“Why?”spoke the girl with long, wavy, dark brown hair and onyx eyes,”Why would you want to set us free?”There was a slight pause when one of the blonde haired, blue eyed twins spoke up.
“Do not be rude Aina”She said sternly,”Don’t you agree Siena?”
“Of course I do.Hear them out,like Sena said”agreed Siena.
“Why should they care?”said a boy with long, chestnut brown hair and and dark brown eyes. The boy with short, messy, black hair and cobalt blue eyes, was the next to speak.
“We are prisoners of the world and prisoners of Zeus. Why do you find the need to help us and after all these years.”He spoke in a cold, yet uncaring tone,”Just like Eros always says.”It was silent for a while.
“It isn’t right,”Hera interrupted the silence,”to imprison the innocent is wrong in it’s own way,but to imprison innocent children…”she trailed off,”it’s unforgivable. It’s wrong for Demeter and Zeus to want to give your souls to Hades just for the return of Persephone. We want to make things right and set you free.”
Touched by the words of Hera, the children quickly agreed to the plan. The following night they would escape and finally be free.
It was dark midnight, the perfect time for the escape, they would not be seen for there was no moon in the sky to illuminate them.Hera and Athena returned to the old prison.
“We must wait for Poseidon,”said Athena,”He will be here soon”Poseidon arrived a few minutes later with two cloaked figures.
“Who are they,Poseidon?”asked Hera.
“You have not betrayed us,have you?”asked Athena.
“No,of course not.”said Poseidon. He turned to the figures and said,”Take off your cloaks.”As they removed their cloaks,Athena and Hera could not believe their eyes. There standing in front of them was the Goddess of Hearth and Home and Goddess of the Moon, the Hunt, and Young Maidens,Artemis.
“Hestia,Artemis, what are you doing here?”asked Athena, shock evident on her face.
“We are here to help of course.”said Hestia.
“Poseidon informed us on the situation and we are greatly disgusted.”said Artemis.
“For those two to do such a thing is horrible.”said Hestia,”So we have decided. The two of us will pose as peasant woman and hide these children in the new world. No one will ever suspect it.”
“That’s perfect!”exclaimed Athena.
“Thank you, thank you so much.”said Hera
“Of course.”said Artemis,”We’ll take it from here.”Artemis and Hestia smiled at the other two Goddess.Hera and Athena knew they could trust them.
The children were released and they escaped without being caught, but for Athena,Hera, and Poseidon,it was a different story. The day after Zeus and Demeter went to see the children.Upon seeing the the empty jail cells, they were angered.Sara told Zeus she had seen Hera,Athena, and Poseidon leaving the castle the night before the escape and the three gods were immediately imprisoned.Though they did not regret what they did. They knew what they did was right and refused to tell them where the children went. They vowed to protect those children for all eternity and vowed to never reveal their location no matter what. The children,Hestia, and Artemis had heard what happened to the three other gods. They agreed to help them when they could control the power surging within.Hestia and Artemis allowed them to make this decision and decided to help them when that time came as well.
                                 ~Twelve Years Later~
After the escape it didn’t take long for war to break out.It was divided into two sides. One desired the return of Persephone, called the Ritan and the other, called the Hogo-sha,the protection of the Seven Miracles,as they became known as.The war itself was long and bloody. It tore the world in half and saddened Gaia(Ge) and Uranus to a great extent. They instantly regretted their decision to created thiose kids. They never wanted this to happen, but they remembered something. It was what the Seven Miracles were born to do.They were created to stop the conflict and create an era of everlasting peace in the new world.Gaia and Uranus finally understood just how this would happen. The Seven Miracles would be the ones to end the war and bring Persephone home, ending all the conflict and finally granting Uranus and Gaia’s(Ge’s) wish.
It was a bright sunny day in the neutral village of Chinmoku(Silence). The village was just as it had been named, silent. There were flowers all around and children were playing while the adults were either watching their children or working. It was a peaceful village and that was due to the Seven Miracles,Hestia, and Artemis. The villagers knew who they were and were more than happy to help. They were on the side that wanted to protect them after all.Today was a fateful day.The leader of the Hogo-sha was being forced to surrender. After that the Ritan would tear apart any and every home they could find and if that happened the Seven Miracles would surely be captured, along with Artemis and Hestia. So to protect the people it was decided that they would finally join the battle by coming out of hiding. The group head out at midnight, that way they could avoid the Ritan guards that patroled the area. They were carfeul and quick,as to not be discovered. They were close to the place were it would all take place, they just needed a little time.
   ~They Very Next Day~
“And so it brings me great honor to finally disband the rebels of Hogo-sha and-”The words of the minister were interrupted when an explosion was heard outside.
“What was that?”
“What’s going on?”
“Were some of the rebels not caught?”these questions and many more were asked of the crowd.
“Tch”Demeter scowled, she was looking forward to finally bringing her daughter home, after they torn down the villages and brought those brats to justice of course.Zeus on the other hand quickly stood up and ordered everyone to stay put, except for a few gods,of course.
“Come Demeter,we will take care of them ourselves.”Zeus knew exactly who had interrupted, who else could possibly be?The doors were open and as Zeus had expected the Seven Miracles stood on the other side, but he was more the shocked to see the two standing with them.
“Artemis,Hestia, how could you betray me?”he asked.
“We have not betrayed a single being,we are merely doing what is right and what must be done.”answered Hestia.
“Lies, you are both nothing but filthy, disgusting traitors. How can you even look at your selves without being repuled by what you see!Your awful actions are keeping my daughter away from me!How can you possibly live with yourselves knowing this!?”yelled Demeter. At her words the Ritan began to attack the Miracles and the army they brought with them.Meanwhile Demeter was in her own little world. She was more than angered, she was infuriated. She had trusted them, they comforted her,but it was all a hoax, their way of laughing and making a fool out of her.She couldn’t take it anymore.Anger and rage filled her,she was about to attack when…
“Stop!”a voice yelled. It was the girl they called Mira,”Stop it all.Stop this fighting please”she cried out.
“Why should we!”Zeus’s voice boomed out,”We are only trying to bring a child home, while you monsters are trying to keep her it that vile place!”
“No,”she sobbed out”I can’t take it anymore.Gaia,Uranus,Persephone, they all want it to stop.”
“What are you talking about?”questioned Demeter,”How could you possibly know what they are saying?”
“Because...they are speaking to me….I can hear their voices calling me,begging me to stop this madness.”
“What are you saying child.”
“What am I saying you ask?I’m saying...”the girl trailed off,”I’m saying I can hear the voice of Gaia calling from the earth below,Uranus from the skies above, and Persephone’s cries of anguish!None of them ever wanted this to happen, even the one you’re suppose to be fighting for is horrified with what you are doing! This world was created so that beings could live together in peace and harmony, but instead you’ve gone and turned something beautiful into something more revolting and vile than anything anyone could ever imagine!”She yelled out.
Everyone froze. Was this girl speaking the truth?Had they really done something so awful? As the girls words sunk in Demeter knew the young girl was right.
“I-I…”Demeter was the first to speak,”I just wanted my daughter back,I-I”tears threatened to fall from her eyes,”I never meant for this to happen!”she cried out.”I’m sorry,I’m sorry,I’m sorry”she cried as tears spilled from her eyes,”I’m a monster,I wanted my daughter back so badly to the point where I was willing to hurt seven innocent people just to get her back,”she cried,”This is all my fault,My fault I tell you!”
“Demeter-”Zeus was about to walk up to her where Mira did something unexpected. She walked over and hugged Demeter.
“Shhh,it’s okay. It’s understandable that as a mother you would want to protect your child from harm and I promise you none of this is your fault,it’s just what fate decided for us all.”Mira said as she comforted the grief stricken goddess.

And that’s as far as I got. If you haven’t already guessed, I didn’t know much about the greek gods and didn’t understand spacing. I just copied and pasted from an old document.
