Will would most definitely run an incorrect quotes tumblr account dedicated solely to the ranger corps-- except every quote is actually something a ranger has said

and plot twist one day a ranger finds the blog, but Will is too scared to admit he runs it, meaning half the rangers think that someone somehow listens in on their secret conversations etc... and they all proceed to panic for the next several months before Will eventually turns himself in

Hear me out

Sad will right, he is mourning, and well, depressed. And one day, he just kind off, explodes. It's the first actual feelings, real feelings, he has had in months, and it is pure rage. He storms around the cabin, ripping apart drawings, tossing Alyss' old blanket in the fire, cutting her messenger bag, crumpeling her papers, all of it. The cabin, Alyss' stuff, is destroyed

Afterward, he cries, cries and cries and cries. Regrets destroying all her favourite items, regrets ruining what little memories he had left of her.

So he carefully picks up the pieces, and puts them in a box under what used to be her comfortable chair.

Months go by, and in a way, he forgets about the box. It has become part of the decor and is now just a box.

One particularly harsh winter, he comes home from an errand, and finds Maddie, wrapped in a blanket he knows all too well. She's sitting in what is now her chair, and mending the last ripped corner of the blanket.

His heart drops.

"Oh welcome back Will! I was freezing and found an extra quilt in the box under the chair, I hope you don't mind. It was torn, so I fixed it, it's really warm! Nothing like the flimsy blankets we have!'' She yells out as a greeting to him. Her cheeks all red, even though the cabin itself was freezing cold.

Ofcourse it is warm, he thought. It was gifted to Alyss by Skandians. They know how to make good, warm quilts.

From now on, every single winter, Maddie takes out Alyss' quilt, and curls up in it by the fire, listening to Will playing the mandola, or reading a book.

Over time, she also starts replacing some of the repairs she did all those years ago. She's a better seamstress now, and replaces them with pieces of fabric she decorated with moments important to her.

So now Alyss' favourite quilt has embroidered parts on it, memories Maddie loves, scattered throughout.

Her and Will sitting by the fire, celebrating his birthday.

And Will's heart, slowly starts to heal a bit, everytime she adds a new memory.

Probably to stop sentences like 'Crowley hatte seinen Halt verloren' (Crowley had lost his grip, but Halt is the German word for grip) feeding the Cralt fandom.
