So they had a girl after season 11 right? Mulder of course wouldve been a stay at home dad, but I think he’d homeschool her. Not in a creepy fundie way. In a its too dangerous to leave you in a school building and my wife and I have severe trauma about losing children kind of way.
So he’d use his Oxford education to teach her like fluent latin and literature and ancient history on top of the regular online school curriculum. And he’d get her onto the local boys baseball team because hes the coach anyway. And theyd go for walks in the woods or field trips to different historical places around DC or the smithsonian, where he would teach her how to be curious and inquisitive about the world above all else.
And scully being a doctor with a week on week off schedule would pick up the science slack and do little experiments with them both that would inevitably devolve into lighthearted fighting when Mulder puts beakers under his shirt to make boobies, and her telling him to take his aries energy out of the kitchen.
exactly what I thought too! Like the govt conspiracy would be the main thing and aliens would be like oh yeah maybe but who knows
i thought x files was gonna be Mulder says yes aliens and Scully says no aliens and it's left rather ambitiousvat the end but they very much did put aliens in there
Scully started kickboxing or judo after being taken by that creepy hair guy.
Mulder maybe suggested she go or went with her the first time bc she asked him to come. Sometimes he goes with her and they grapple so she can learn how to fight back against a bigger man.
Explains why she held her own way better when pfaster kidnapped her again.
scully crying when diana died is truly one of my favorite moments of her character…she hated “that woman” so much and diana was so awful, but in the end, it was diana that saved mulder’s life. the way that scully just says “i’m sorry. i’m so sorry. i know she was your friend.” and hugs him and cries. she hated her so much, but diana was important to mulder, so she’s mourned.
there are a lot of very important character moments and epiphanies in Little Green Men for both Mulder and Scully, but i find in the end the moment that plays in my head most often and gives me all sorts of Feelings and Emotions is when they're running away from the military at the end and haring away in a stolen truck, and while Mulder's taking them crashing down the mountainside, he shoves Scully down on the seat beside him and she lets him. And he keeps trying to protect her head and neck with his hand. Which she also doesn't fight off.
It's just so much, so intimate, she went to collect her partner and found him passed out and recently probably delirious but she doesn't hesitate for a second to get in the truck and make their escape, blindly crunched down in the seat with his hand on the back of her neck as they speed through the hills, without protest.
