Brian Frederick Hines, probably better known as Denny Laine, lead guitarist and core member of my favorite band, Wings, has passed away. Ever since I learned of Denny’s health issues earlier in 2023, I’ve been anticipating this, but it doesn’t make the news any less shocking. Denny helped created some of my favorite music in the world. His boisterous charm, loud personality, soulful voice and musical talent will be sorely missed in this world. I hate the fact that I had to wait for this to happen. I wish I could have gotten into Wings just a few months later so that I wouldn’t have experienced this news the way I did. Rest in peace, Denny 🕊️
in 1971, paul mccartney formed a group that would help form the sound of a decade. that band, of course, was wings. and i just created an unofficial timeline for wings because i love them so much. if you want to, you can look at it here! i’ve been working on this for a really long time and i am very excited to show y’all :D
was the now and then music video good? no. did it mean everything to me and make me smile and cry and giggle and ive watched it four times this morning? well, yes.
