i cannot stress this enough . it is so important that you respect people’s aliases in the rpc . even if you know them as another name , unless they tell you it is okay to reference them as such in public , always go by the known alias !! you don’t know why they changed it up as they could be trying to avoid toxic people !!

types of people as greek gods

zeus is the nicest asshole you’ll ever meet. speaks his mind but should really consider shutting the fuck up on occasion. he laughs loud like he understood a completely different layer of the joke and there’s something endearing about his pretentiousness, like a child prodigy that still doesn’t know how to act in social situations. you’re drawn to the lightning in his eyes but your second thoughts come when you hear the thunder.

poseidon is an unspoken invitation to hang out. an easy-going nature, compliant with any inconvenience thrown his way, he keeps his expectations low so as to break the ice with disappointment and toasts ambivalence with a glass of craft beer. acquiescence at its finest, he can only say no to the tides of something that couldn’t possibly end well.

hades smokes at 3am because being sad is all the rage. he smiles for the people who care, doesn’t crack even at the harshest jabs, but cries for himself. hosts pity parties on bathroom floors, makes incredibly specific playlists for his myriad of moods because ‘sad hours’ isn’t the same as ‘sad because the weather looked like it could’ve rained but it didn’t’.

aphrodite giggles while she plays matchmaker. she’s had her ups and downs but still gets to believe that love is magical, a precious commodity she’d like to gift to everyone else. and yet, despite it all, she’s not blind enough to think you could love someone else without loving yourself. her flaws are evident, not just skin deep, but she takes it in stride even when it seems too hard to. she has to; if they see her love herself, maybe they will too.

apollo shines and he knows it. he’d just rather hear it specifically from the people who matter. he’s a golden boy that broods in broad daylight, a grecian fuckboy carved from marble and yet only those who truly know him would see the fractures barely held together by band-aids and dry quips. he’s the overwhelming need to be seen as put together but also not seen at all, gold veins line his arm and a searing warmth courses his body.

athena is a diplomatic answer in an argument against fools. she is the calculated decision to let things go and the strategic ploy to treat the world with kindness because altruism is her greatest weapon, more powerful than her strong voice, more durable than the silver she adorns herself with. you’ll never hear her sigh, her demeanor is the truest shield she carries against the weight of her world and she’d guard you with it if she could.

artemis takes pride in being one of the guys, being the one who opens the beer bottles by the skin of her teeth and the one who thinks they don’t need help because their pride won’t let them. she’ll tread lightly on sandals because she makes too many mistakes and too many resolutions to change every time but as long as she thinks she’s strong, she can do this.

demeter kills every house plant she owns but that doesn’t deter her from trying to cultivate them anyway. she’s a wispy soul, wishy washy in her resolves and every instance where she makes up her mind to begin anew. she means well but gets too caught up in the thistles of her mind to see how she could actually help; it doesn’t really matter in the end though— she’s lovely enough to never be put on the hook for it anyway.
