This is going to be a soapbox moment, and I’m sorry but I’m seeing it a lot lately so I have to address the issue: Nobody likes me. Everybody hates me. Nobody wants to RP with me.

Okay so I know it’s hard, like really hard, to approach new people. I know it is, I struggle with it myself. But if you want new interactions, you can’t always expect people to come to you. Lemme say it again:

You can’t always expect people to come to you.

People just don’t work like that. I wish they did, but they don’t. 

Maybe a majority of your followers live in different time zones, or they keep different hours, or they have some sort of a social life. Just because no one replies to your open starters or memes or whatever doesn’t mean no one wants to play with you. It usually just means that they didn’t see it. Or maybe they feel like they’re bothering you. Or maybe they can’t think of a way to reply to that specific thing you posted. Doesn’t matter. 

What matters is that you remember that there are a lot of people who do want to play with you, or you wouldn’t have drafts or interactions at all. And that you also remember that sometimes it falls on you to go reply to their open, or send them a meme, or hell just show up in their inbox IC with some random thing for the no reason at all. Take the chance, okay?

Another thing to remember is that if you post something negative and someone attempts to make you feel better to not just blow it off. Try and let it sink in. Read it three or four or five times until it does. Remember that whoever it was, whether it was a friend or a total stranger, saw that you were having a bad moment and took the time out of their day to try and cheer you up. It means that they cared, whether it was for a few minutes or whether it’s every day. Somebody out there cares. And probably more people care too, but they just didn’t see that you were hurting. When someone cares enough to try and make you feel better, please try and let them. Just try. Blowing it off isn’t going to make either of you feel better, and it might make them less likely to try and help somebody else because they feel like they don’t matter.

 As much as Zizel had chosen to play along with their antics, she did feel some amount of disdain toward the two haters, though not as much as Rouge, as the other had gone so far as to call them ‘scum’.

“…Ah. Fair enough.” She stopped speaking, as she noted how apprehensive Noel was. “Sirius is an irritable sort. If you’re going to enlist his help, you may need to be quick about it. 

“… Irritable might be an understatement, he’s absolutely short-fused thanks to everything going on…” He loves his friend dearly but even he will admit Sirius is a little… melodramatic. “I doubt he’d believe anything I tell him about the situation, either.”
