Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn

1. You are responsible for your own media experience. 

2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.

3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.

4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.

5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.

So I thought I would share a little of what I've been working on. It's been a minute since I've written anything Gendrya related, but Idk...I just got inspired. Probably because I've been re-reading a lot of my Gendrya fics. Not to toot my own horn, but damn, some of them are AMAZING...and some of them... well they could use some work. Anyway, enjoy a little of what I have planned and even more kudos if you can figure out what song I used as inspiration. :)

“Um, are ya alright?” His blue eyes turned that of curiosity to worry. She had been staring at him like a big oaf.

Say something, you idiot, anything!

“Uh, you talk funny.”

Not that!

A chuckle escaped past his supple lips, “Well, that’s a first.”

Arya groaned, “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I said that.”

The bartender nodded, “It’s alright. I take it this is yer first time in Storm’s End?”

“Is it that obvious?”

He shrugged, “It’s not too bad. But maybe you should not make fun of the way people talk.”

Arya laughed. A good hearty laugh. And it’s something she hadn’t done in a long time. “You know, you should take it as a compliment. It means I like you.”

On of his brows arched, “Really now? And uh—do I gots to worry about any boyfriends smashing my face in for being nice to his girl?”

She watched as he placed another whiskey in front of her. “I had a boyfriend. He’s my ex as of five minutes ago and he’s somewhere in this club doing God knows what.”

The bartender smiled before wiping his hand on his apron and offering it to her to shake, “Name’s Gendry.”

How i imagine their story arcs in the following episodes. Maisie did talk about Aryas inner conflict in this season. She’ll have to choose between her dark path of vengeance and letting go and embracing life. I believe it’s (amongst other people) gendrys job to do this. His stubbornness and bull-headedness will finally break her walls and he will show her the way back to the light. 

Or in short: Sometimes, all you need, is a loving hug to let go of your pain and sorrow ;)
