Jammu March 5: If our youth’s future is in murk and the credibility of many different competitive examinations is on stake, it is the Sinha Government which is surely and purely responsible. Aam Adami Party’s General Secretary and Spokesperson J&K, Partap Singh Jamwal lambasted UT government here today while pointing its latest order over the selection of APTECH company for conducting Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) exams by the authorities. While condemning the move, he said that the selection of the company named APTECH is a violation of rules and regulations, and it is a matter of concern for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned the UT government directly and asked that how come a company could be considered to conduct the different examinations usually held under the control of SSB which is already blacklisted in many states and has been fined also by the Supreme Court of this country. He pointed out that the APTECH has failed in the past to ensure transparency and accountability in holding such exercises, due to which many states have banned it. He further added that the government has already scrapped many recruitment processes on the grounds of doubts and allegations. Now, if APTECH is holding the exams for JKSSB, there is a chance that it might get scrapped again since it has a poor transparency record. Therefore, before anything goes wrong, the government must reconsider its decision and choose a better option.
Jamwal urged that the government must show some ethics and it must learn from the past experiences. If such kind of blacklisted companies will be appointed to conduct the examinations which will decide the future of unemployment in the state then we must comprehend that it was the government itself which is entirely responsible for the corruption, he added.
He also asked the unemployed youth of this UT to raise voice against such decisions of the government which could raise questions about the transparency and accountability of the whole recruitment process. Jamwal made it clear that if the government will not reconsider this issue and appoint any another credible agency to conduct the exams of the JKSSB, his party leaders and workers will be on the roads. Government should choose a better and genuine option instead of choosing a blacklisted company otherwise it will lose its rest of the credibility too, he told.

Two crore cash 07 kgs heroine & some arms ammunition recovered in Poonch
JAMMU: In a major success, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday busted a narco-terror module and recovered a huge quantity of heroin and cash near Line of Control at Poonch.
More than two crore rupees in cash, still being counted, along with seven kgs of heroin and some arms and ammunition have been recovered from the house of a notorious drug peddler from Poonch named Rafi Dhana, alias Rafi Lala.
Lala was earlier detained under PSA being a notorious drug smuggler. He resides close to the line of control at Poonch.
On some inputs, Poonch Police team led by Inspector Sunil and component of NCA and CRPF searched the house of Rafi. During the search, 7 Kgs of heroin, around 2 crores of cash (counting going on) and a pistol with one magazine, 10 rounds along with seven rounds of SLR was recovered,” said a police spokesman

Jammu, Feb 19 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday appealed to the people of Jammu to unite and fight for their rights without being misled by any slogan.
She said the BJP has promised to install a Dogra chief minister if voted to power in Jammu and Kashmir, but where are the Dogras.
"We, Kashmiris, have apprehensions about demographic change, but the demography of Jammu has already changed," she told her party workers at the PDP office here.
"They (BJP) are directly ruling Jammu and Kashmir for many years and when they had an opportunity to install a Dogra LG (lieutenant governor), they did not. They are bringing people from outside," she said.
She alleged that the BJP is using Jammu and Kashmir "as a laboratory" for its policies that will subsequently be implemented in the rest of the country.
"I want to tell the people of Jammu to wake up from the dream of some rashtra. The reality is that it wants to turn the country into 'BJP Rashtra' where even Hindus who will not vote for it will face worse conditions than Muslims," Mehbooba said.
"If you have to save Jammu and Kashmir and the country, you have to stand up and fight for your rights without getting misled by any slogan,” she told her party workers in Jammu.
The former chief minister said the people of Jammu and Kashmir should take a lesson from the developments in Ladakh where the people of Kargil and Leh have joined hands in support of their demand for statehood and constitutional safeguards.
Mehbooba alleged that the ongoing anti-encroachment drive in Jammu and Kashmir was selective and aimed at pleasing a particular community.
