Learning about Lopburi, the Thai town where two rival gangs of monkeys have been fighting in the streets

Police have been trying to capture the “leaders” but the monkeys know how to identify a tranquilizer gun, so they scatter as soon as they someone raise one. Cops have to hide the tranq gun until they get close.

Part.2! Of the cattonquick au where criminally insane inmate!Felix is about to be released on parole (after 7 months in prison after a year in a mental clinic), and his psychiatrist Oliver who’s been hired suggested to be assigned to him by Sir James, Felix’s father and Oliver’s benevolent donor of his very prestigious education after his own father, once one of sir James’ loyal attorneys, committed suicide after going into debt (later generously payed off by sir James as well).

//Oliver knew Felix all his life and he has always been madly obsessed with loved him but only from afar (long days spent longingly staring at him, from the days as a kid in the playground, to an adult watching him get drunk at parties in Oxford, and then later on sitting in his office and reading the papers to follow the news about the suspected crimes of the Catton heir) so when Sir James hired him to treat his son with the obvious implications of getting back what was given so generously, Oliver was only intoxicated with bliss. However, unbeknownst to him, the rabbit hole was deeper and more caliginous than he could ever have imagined…

The secrets buried in Saltburn were about to be unearthed and poor Oliver, who only clutched at love like a fool, wasn't at all equipped to deal with them (Although, to be fair, no one was) . //

Oliver saves him in this dream. Cast a net meant for mackerel and seam bream, drag his limp body to shore. Press a kiss to his lips, breathe life into his lungs. The man would take a shuddering gasp, coughing and coughing, before a smile would spread across his lips on his golden face. Gazing upon the angler, a simple young man, unnoticed and plain, suddenly seen. The flying boy would mouth a hoarse thank you and the angler would swear he had captured a God.

As the liquid swam through his bloodstream, Avatar Kuruk leaned his weight into the wall. Floral patterns and colors danced as he examined the space around him. This wasn’t his first time here, and it certainly wouldn’t be his last. He ran out of safe havens a long time ago.

As Kuruk’s head spun, a pair of dark green eyes locked with his. The woman was stunning, draped in tan and brown fabric that flowed over her body like the desert itself. Her height made her appear more slender, like an apparition Kuruk was accustomed to fighting.

Oliver had dreamt before of being Felix’s hand. Not a nightmare, but a fantasy. Specifically, his dominant hand. Used to bear the brunt of tasks, more often utilized than the other. He’d be messy, battered, bruised. Hang nails, dry skin, papercuts. Oliver was made to be wielded, to write his words on paper, to touch his guitar strings, and become calloused. Oliver would be the hand that tossed a stone into the river, responsible for the splash of water as a Catton sunk to the bottom. He’d be clasped in prayer, in unity with his other, a kiss of two palms.

akjenfkanfrk I know this isn't one sentence big apologies i just....felt so good about this, i remember when i wrote it :,-) There is SO much I'd do different about WIPIP now, but I'm still very proud of it and miss it <3

Occasionally I remember that it is, in fact, entirely possible for me to do things like make up my own tagging games if I want to participate in more of them. I can even do this whenever I want, and then I can share it on tumblr, and not only can nobody stop me but also other people besides me might even enjoy it too!

I'll start! From my AtLA fic, Acting Out:

They turn their backs on the stars and the ocean to rejoin the rest of the group, and Zuko thinks he knows his answer: here in this place in this moment with the weight of his past scattered on the sand behind him, he feels lighter than he has in years.

It's the last line of the fic, and it wasn't until @erisenyo pointed it out that I realized I'd accidentally ended the fic with perfect imagery both for Zuko as a firebender, and for imagery I'd used intentionally earlier in the fic. I enjoy revisiting this line every so often, now, as a reminder that sometimes it's okay to let myself stop being anxious and just write, instead of strangling my writing to death by trying too hard to reach some unattainable standard of "perfect." And then on top of that, sometimes really neat things happen like the perfect symbolic imagery appearing on the page without doing it on purpose or even realizing it till someone else points out how well it works!
