the person behind es is so very obviously past es. past es is wearing a white robe that seems to look like the milgram novel 2 uniform. in milgram novel 2, mako died because she was murdered by her friend in the prison because he was happy to see her dead (not as in he hates her or anything, he likes seeing people suffer for fun), you making es wear the uniform is sorta implying they replaced mako's place in the prison after she died becoming the secret 6th prisoner or the 5th prisoner's replacement. this could possibly imply that es was also one of the prisoners that were forgiven by torch. in milgram, if you were voted innocent, there's a very high chance you will be chosen as the next warden to continue the cycle of torture.

jackalope is not visible anywhere in this edit, he is infact edited out, but why? this could reference the fact that es was happier than now even when in prison. they are still calm and collected if they are a prisoner, thus smiling. when they became the warden and went to jackalope's hands, all hope was lost. you can see that current es has a fixed neutral face, hiding their true self behind the pathological warden facade.
