Motherland: Fort Salem - The Journey of a Bowerbird
’The Journey of a Bowerbird’ is a coming-of-age montage, and a tribute to the cinematography of Motherland: Fort Salem.
We follow the journey of Raelle Collar, a reserved yet rebellious young woman. Trapped in a world that gives her no choice, she does not believe in or trust anyone. She often avoids social gatherings and keeps to herself instead.
She slowly finds her way in life, at the same time as falling in love, with someone that encourages her to look forward to the future.
She accepts the fact that she has to move on, from a relationship that has now ended.
Looking back at her journey, and her relationship, she finds truly beautiful moments that are worth keeping.
Visual Content: Motherland: Fort Salem (Season 1)
Audio: Clair De Lune, by Debussy (as performed by Carl Doy)
‘Why this title?’
For generations, Raelle’s family has been passing down, from mother to daughter, a combat charm made out of the foot of a Bowerbird. When explaining what it is to her unit, Raelle says 'they love anything blue’. We often see Raelle looking at her partner’s blue eyes, where the color is immidiately connected with her feelings.

Around by Christina Printezi
Project: A theory of what our surroundings mean, the way we perceive and treat the world around us.
A lot has been bequeathed to us from the world, with our birth in it. A lot has been given to us by society, as general accepted truths: rules, ethics, ideals. The right and the wrong, the nice and the odious, the behavior we have to look up to and the one we have to look down upon, the life we should look forward to and the one we ought to avoid, the actions we should praise and the ones we should scold people for. The world was divided in two: the one that stands in the light and the one that lies in the dark. It has been decided that only one is worthy, and we all know which on it is. Did anyone stop to think why? Why only one world? Why not both? Why not neither of the two? Did we ever really resist? Or were we not shown how?
Visual Content: Captured by Christina Printezi     Soundtrack: • "The Kiss" by Tim Zaragoza • "Αντισταθείτε" / "Resist", poem by Michalis Katsaros, 1983

Insanity by Christina Printezi Project: Describing one word and its meaning without showing anything specific, no specific person or object.
Insanity in not like craziness. Craziness is about having a craze that drives you, while insanity is about not having a single logical thought.
