Not to get involved in discourse but to all the people who are “boycotting” Late Night With The Devil or giving it bad reviews even though you enjoyed it because 3 title cards were made with AI even though they are on screen for like 2 minutes max throughout the entire movie, as someone who’s career is in indie movies and even has a Shudder flick lined up, fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you fuck you I don’t understand what you think you’re doing? Who do you think you’re protecting? You think executives are going to read your review saying “LOVED the movie! Giving it 1 star because of the AI!” ????

No. They are seeing the average of reviews being tanked and maybe not wanting to take the chances on the original and interesting content that is up to be made next. Do this shit on block-busters. Disney, marvel, starwars - whatever. Don’t kill the little guy trying to make art because they used MIXED MEDIA fuck dude let me make good movies! Let the people in this industry have any fucking agency on what kind of films they help make. You’re killing the good parts (which are the small parts) of this industry. Saw Late Night with the Devil, was a good movie. People are bitching about 3 queue cards that used Ai art and wanting to boycott the entire film over it. Fuck off. You want to rail road the work of the actors, sound designers, costume designers, script writers, directors, over the choice some post-production person did in like 5 seconds? Fuck off.
