sure! (and yes it is a wonderful title isn't it? thank you ada limón for the poem of the same name)

this is a one piece fic actually and while the series itself starts with the death of a pirate captain and how it impacts the world, i wanted to go in depth into the grief of his first mate and closest friend. so!

There were so many better days for it, but Rayleigh had never laughed so much in his life as right then, listening to Crocus complaining fondly about all the medical advice Roger had ignored and Gaban dramatically re-enacting Roger’s annoyance whenever the Marines insisted on misspelling his name. Things they all knew and wanted to talk about anyway. And he had cried more than ever, too, raising toast after toast, pretending not to see Shanks pulling the straw hat down over his eyes or Buggy’s clown makeup beginning to drip. It was hours before they all filtered out of the bar, one by one, until it was only Rayleigh left.

this is for a comic called weak hero which i loved and followed from start to finish in real time. the ending made me horribly sad so then i started writing fics with the changed ending. this is one of them

You said you were going to stop picking so many fights.” “It’s Donald fucking Na, you can’t tell me he doesn’t deserve it,” Alex says, and doesn’t add that the only reason he stopped getting into fights is that he started realizing he couldn’t win.

that's my poly tjv post vuelta requiem because i'm still not over it. here you go:

Jonas had come to his room one evening during training camp, sat down on the foot of the bed with his hands up in surrender and explained the whole thing. What saying yes would mean, how it would be perfectly okay not to. What the team would and wouldn't ask of him, and how all that really mattered was communication.

Finished by saying, "It's entirely up to you — " and by that point Attila had been relieved-confused-curious enough to lean over and kiss him. Dramatic, again, but it had worked out.

i actually think that the driver to break the ferrari curse and become the first ferrari champion since kimi raikkonen should be kimi antonelli. his father, an italian man, an italian racing driver at that, saw through the ferrari mirage and was so moved by the artistry of a finnish mclaren driver that he named his only son after him. 16 days later kimi raikkonen signed with ferrari. a year later he won his championship and became ferrari's last world champion. kimi has only one heir. his name is kimi
