so 309 comes from Miles's dream. but do we know why it's five four? did he explain those numbers?
not explicitly but he did say he always woke up from that dream at 3.55 so five to four! I’m guessing that’s it. and I love this SO much btw!!! that he took the relevant letters and numbers and made it into sort of a post code that would be the title for this song about this dream…the post code of a dream…. wow Alex was right Miles only has good ideas. I hope his dreams are nice and crispy now though
Sorry if this has been noted before but it just stood out to me. In this interview, (at 1.15) Alex describes himself crawling over the stage, “literally and figuratively…” We saw him crawling literally (hence the dirty knees) but the way he looks at Miles when he says “figuratively.” The word “crawling” means (according to dictionary.com) “behave obsequiously or ingratiatingly in the hope of gaining someone's favour” or “grovel to.” So, here Alex is confirming that he’s grovelling or apologising to Miles and sort of confirms that they did argue, as was previously thought from their body language in the set.
Also “crawl” links to Kingcrawler lyrics, plus “crawling back to you” but I haven’t time for all that now.
I knew about "long hot summer", but "jukebox in the corner" from "boys are back in town" is just... crazy. He can't be more explicit than this! And the million dollar question is Alex WHY... [complete this however you like]
putting alex and miles in the same room is crazy because suddenly no one else exists and it’s just them and the world has faded away and they remain floating amidst the cosmos stuck in each others gaze reaching out to embrace one another and every word they speak turns into the sweetest song that only they can understand
The title track from Miles Kane’s fifth studio album seems to express a sense of dedication and commitment from Miles towards another. The lyrics suggest a strong desire to provide support and light in someone’s life, even when feeling like they’ve lost everything. Miles seems as a sole performer, a “one-man band,” willing to go to great lengths to bring brightness and positivity into the other person’s life, symbolized by singing about brighter days and keeping the darkness away. There’s a theme of loneliness mixed with determination and a plea for recognition, asking to be heard and acknowledged for the effort put into being there for someone else (source: genius, one man band lyrics)
Hi! Do you think Miles wrote Colour of the Trap for Alex? Because these lines: "Most of the things that you say, I don't understand but I will sit and listen, I nod along attentively, But the truth is I can't concentrate." -- I swear we've seen this expression on his face while he listens adoringly to whatever Alex is saying.
Hello :)) You know, many people have discussed this and they have some really good ideas and arguments that they planted this idea in my mind and now every line of this song sounds like Alex inspired to me too :D So I can’t really look objectively at this song anymore. But yeah, this song is one of Miles’ finest so it would be cool if there’s some truth to that :))
And of course our living proof Miles helps these theories too xD
okay guys this NECKLACE. i'm obsessed with it and i knew i had to ask you guys about it because you guys know everything (lol). where did he get it/via whom? how long did he wear it? WHY did he take it off and switch it for the (albeit beloved) chain we see today?
Remember the glorious interview that ended with Alex saying > and then proceeding to imitate a blowjob? *Bi alex confirmed again* (tragically I can't put a link in an ask but the interview is by studio brussel with that beautiful female interviewer and can easily be found on youtube)
Haha yeah, what was that anyway?? :D
