for the brief time the map is up, diana can already tell what tony had been looking at. she has the very same map strew about her dining room table, as well as a growing stack of case files on the missing. it was rare that even with the justice league, the avengers, and the x-men involved in a case that no big break has been made. this causes the amazon to fear for what they’re up against, though it isn’t like diana to allow her worries to show. she was a beacon of hope, after all, and she’ll be damned if anyone for a second begins to admit defeat. “am i that transparent?” she jokes, reaching into the tote she’d brought along to retrieve a stack of files printed and put together for her by alfred. “i’ve been stewing over these for what feels like forever. all the super humans taken - their last known locations, abilities, family history, schooling, etcetera. i’ve been trying to link any of the two but there doesn’t seem to be a pattern, nothing we can latch onto and run with. it’s incredibly infuriating, but i don’t have to tell you that.” 

offering the files out, diana places them beside the male. “it is no secret that the tech produced by stark industries is something of the future. i was hoping to speak with you about utilizing it for the sake of the search.” teeth sink into her lesser lip momentarily, attempting to keep up the facade as though she knew where to start with the case. “i’m sure you’re already working on something, so i won’t overstep. i think in a time like this were are stronger together.”

closed starter for @winterircn​ | location: avenger’s tower. 

from the very moment the news of the disappearances broke, they’ve been on the league’s radar. it was only a matter of time before disappearances of the same likeness began happening in their own backyard. the tricky part of it all was there was nary a trace left behind, or a pattern to these occurrences. neither the mutants taken, location of said disappearances, or any evidence left in their wake could point to a definitive source and it was then clear to the amazon that they would need all hands on deck. while she’d already spoken to richard about having the titans searching in their hometown, diana was working on outreach, hoping to join forces with any and everyone who might be able to aid in the search for those who’ve gone missing and get some answers in order to put a stop to it. 

 tony stark was a household name and one that immediately came to the forefront of diana’s mind when brainstorming those to reach out to. the headmasters of xavier’s were next on her lift, hoping to cover all of her bases in order to make this all work. she’s lead down a hallway after a lengthy elevator ride to the very top of the avenger’s tower, eyes always finding something new to look at. stark’s tech was impressive, to say the least, definitely unlike anything she’s seen. after being ushered into a room by who she assumes to be tony’s assistance, she nods in thanks before turning to face the male, who was trained in on something at his workbench. “hello, mr. stark. i hope this isn’t a bad time. i’m diana prince, i was told to stop by today. i was hoping we could talk.”

when news of the disappearances first broke, diana wasn’t sure what to think of it. there was almost zero coverage and all possible leads lead to dead ends. even with bruce and alfred aiding in the research of what was happening, their efforts came up fruitless time and time again. and then they began happening more frequently, and it was clear this was no longer just geared toward mutants. powered individuals from all over, even under their own nose, turned up missing. there was no rhyme or reason to these disappearances, nothing diana could deem solid enough to follow. it was clear that this was something that required all hands on deck. when someone like talia al ghul makes their way into town, it doesn’t go unnoticed. perhaps given diana’s closeness to bruce and damian, it became increasingly obvious that her presence tended to put other’s on edge. 

the amazon herself doesn’t have much of a track record with the assassin, only having met her in passing, the rest of her impression left to imagination. though talia’s efforts to rid the league of assassins of her father’s influence is one diana can only admire. she had reached out to talia and invited her to a quaint cafe in the heart of gotham, hoping the two could join forces in the search for those who were missing, and put an end to it before it’s too late. her free hand is motioning the other over while she rises from her seat, offering out a hand to talia. “thank you for agreeing to meet me. i’m glad we were finally able to, despite the circumstances...” she trails off, fingertips tracing absentmindedly around the rim of her coffee cup. “are you settling in to gotham alright?”

diana met steve when he quite frankly crash landed on themyscira, told the amazon’s about the war to end all wars and diana insisted that taking down what was so obviously ares was the duties of the amazons.  and that if they weren’t going to go, at the least, she had to, to defeat him once and for all. in doing that not only did she put an end to the threat that was ares but she lost someone near and dear to her, steve trevor

steve did mean a lot to her. he is ultimately the foundation of her belief system ??? he taught her SO MUCH in their time together and although it’s been ages since then, diana still holds it very close to her heart. needless to say, shit talk steve and she’ll break ur jaw

i’m also keeping it canon that diana stepped away from man’s world between 84 and BVS. she was so concrete in her belief that once ares was dead, that meant men could live among one another peacefully but then ww2 happened. the atomic bomb. the cold war. vietnam. it all kept happening and diana didn’t understand why. she didn’t understand why mankind couldn’t live in harmony. it hurt her to realize that ares wasn’t the sole influence of the hatred that brought on wars, but it was man itself.

soooo, she didn’t pop back up actively/consistently until bvs happened. diana’s reluctance to put more of her friends/colleagues on the front lines after having lost steve (twice lmao) to it is still very much alive and well to this day and it hurts my heart tbqh

diana became a founding member of the justice league, alongside batman and superman who she now considers her closest friends and allies.

as far as how i plan on playing diana, she’s a big ol’ softie. a badass with a great ass. bi icon. i also lowkey took the “A BABY!!!” thing from ww and RAN with it. diana loves babies, loves kids, loves grown ass adults and will mother any and everyone if they give her the chance. so if you’re in need of a mom, hit my line !!!!!!

diana has years and years of amazonian combat training beneath her belt as well as expert weaponry and divinity given her demi-goddess status

i’m also a lil extra and have done diana’s natal chart in the past and diana is a fucking aries THROUGH AND THROUGH. she shares a majority of the positive and negative traits of an aries, the most notable being that she’s OPTIMISTIC, energetic, courageous and incisive. however she also heavily portrays some of the negative qualities of an aries, for instance - she’s incredibly IMPULSIVE, confrontational and at times can be rather stubborn (not in an arrogant way, more so just set in her beliefs).

diana has a tendency to think with her heart before her head and though sometimes it can be a good thing, there are rare times where it’s the exact opposite. she’s aware of this quality and often beats herself up about it but there’s something inside of her that wills her toward what she thinks is right.
