I saw a weird comment made on one of Anson's posts where Gen called Shelby a babe and Anson said "✂️ 🤣" and Shelby said "it never stops 🤦‍♀️ 🤣" or something like that. Also with how Gen dresses like a man or grandma half the time, doesn't really seem to like kissing Jared but instead misses, does stupid things like the shower ad for towwn, the sex supplements, dildo photos, "post sex" photo, etc. Along with other things, I'm starting to question Gen's sexuality. Is it possible she's not straight but is bi or even a closet lesbian?

I want to be careful how I say this because I don’t think that assuming sexuality based on clothing choice is fair. And I’m not sure how that shower video or flaunting supposed sex with her husband would suggest anything other than heterosexuality.

Nevertheless, her sexuality has been debated for some time in certain circles. (The Campbell Ritchie AKA “Soup” Era is long gone, but not forgotten.)

What you’re describing is someone who is trying very, very hard to cosplay a happy het marriage. Almost like there’s something in it for her…but there are some cracks showing when you look for them. And with that, you’re so close to Tinhat Territory, but I’m not sure if that’s where you want to be.

i can't believe all the nutrition crap she supposedly drinks and none of it is her own husband's mantra brand. i would have thought she'd be all over that to promote how couply they are. lol

Well…she was promoting it back when it was shiny and new. But if you notice, Jared isn’t promoting it anymore either. And that’s because, I’m told, he and Paul sold the company in December of 2022. Mantra’s Instagram account hasn’t posted anything since 12/25/23.

That’s the way it goes when you’re rich and have money to blow on a start-up! Get in, get out, and make it someone else’s problem.

This is also why you can’t believe too much about what celebs say about the wellness products they are endorsing. Jared included. It was always about creating wealth, and less about your health. Using Jared’s face was a marketing gimmick and he mutually benefitted all the way to the bank. Jared could possibly still be a shareholder in the company, but really nobody in The Pada-house cares all that much if anyone is still purchasing Mantra products.

Excuse me while I ramble-vent for a bit…

I know I can’t prove it to y’all, but I am a BIG believer in empowering women (intersectional feminism always, of course). But I feel like this little stunt “summit” that paid Gen to sit on a panel, can’t be it.

I haven’t heard any other details so maybe I’m prematurely disgusted, but there’s gotta be more to empowering women than teaching them the TOWWN model of co-opting language from a worthy cause in order to build a name for yourself and feel good about slutting yourself out to consumerism.

Oh, sorry…my guy Charlie reminds me that’s just called “brand partnerships” these days.

If the panel was talking about current content creator trends, I wonder if Gen spoke about buying followers. 🤔

Because…ain’t no way.

I fully understand, in this current hellscape of American capitalism, women wanting to create their own path and be their own bosses. And maybe it’s the phrase “content creation” that has me ruffled. Because in the attention-based economy that is social media, nobodys like Gen are literally creating narratives that are manufactured in order to manipulate others.

And it WORKS!! And there’s an actual SUMMIT (what a pretentious title lol) who will charge you to come learn their “craft.”

Whatever this league of momfluencers is selling, it definitely can’t be empowerment through authenticity. Can it?? I mean, not when the most lucrative “brand partnerships” literally buy your messaging and have their own hand in creating your content. And if my content is being bought, how empowered am I really?? Am I really an entrepreneur or is this just shiny new packaging on the same old shit? “Girlboss,” indeed. But I suppose calling it a conference for getting rich by scamming your followers doesn’t have quite the same ring as “women supporting women.”

I don’t know, maybe this expensive summit weekend in Nashville (AKA New Austin, if you know you know) had more value than I realize. And it’s just the smarmy inclusion of Gen and Charlie that colors it poorly for me. Because truly, what measure of success got her on yet another panel? (Her wedding ring and subsequent bank account…duh 🤪)

Not sure if you saw the latest Walker interview but here’s the highlight: Remember when Jared was ending Supernatural and even starting Walker? How he made it very clear he wanted to retire acting and focus on production?

Well after realizing he’d have to be home with Glove if he wasn’t in every scene he’s changed his tune to “I intend to do the show for 10 more years.”

Hahahaha! I haven’t seen all of the promo he did but nowhere in what I saw was there a mention of “my wife” or The Dead Wife, either.

Since Gen wants to encourage you to spend a fortune to achieve a look she only achieves through filters and editing, it feels fair to bring this up:

Several weeks ago, her buddy Angela Doran shared some photos of Gen to her IG and even said she calls her “Austin’s Sweetheart” in the caption. Awww! Typically Gen doesn’t miss an opportunity to repost a tag like this in her own IG story and give big thanks. And in fact Angela has shown up many times in her story.

Gen had already used a couple of the photos in her own posts. I mean, her face was partially covered with a veggie, but that couldn’t have anything to do with it. It’s so weird that she didn’t want to talk about those photos.

Or is it?

If you’ve been following me for a while, you may notice that Angela didn’t edit the shape of Gen’s face the way you might be used to seeing it in Gen’s content. (Hint: Always more eye and forehead, less jaw)

And what’s going on with her eyelids?
