See the issue I'm having with my relationship chart is due to this mofo, Ardjin

(a shot of him in his youth and an upstanding member of the Arcane Council vs his current jacked up and old man look with the Inquest)

In his youth/prime, he was not at all shy about bedding anyone he found intellectually his equal. He's fathered quite a few too many Progeny, which majority are unknown to him.

Now thanks to this dude, the relationship chart I wanna make is already big cus of all his damn flings. And the thing is, I'm open to having AUs with others in that he could have more known partners and/or more known Progeny than he currently has.

Anyway, gonna put his relationships below the cut, cus it's a really long wall of text.

So lemme start off with family relations

Ardjin was Dessa's younger brother with the same parents. His family wasn't super big, probably had a few cousins in Rata Sum.

Ardjin helped his sister with the Fractal Observatory and even had interest in the Fractals like her. He would've still been working with Dessa had there not been a slight hiccup in the system that now, to his horror, has caused Dessa to be eternally stuck in a loop within the Observatory. He did try to find a way to bring her back, but he was unsuccessful.

With Dessa stuck in the fractal loop, Ardjin had to raise Arkk for a couple of years before sending him off to the Colleges. These two had a good relationship, up until Ardjin joined the Inquest and gave up on trying to get Dessa back.

Now to his friendships and flings and other relationships so far:

He was really good friends with Flax and Haia, had gone to College and even formed a krewe with these two before they all decided to join the Arcane Council. He has had a few flings with Haia back in their youths. Friends with benefits and all that. Whether he had any Progeny with her is unknown (open to the possibility)

He met a suave Asura in the Consortium, who then was introduced to his sister and those two got together. His nephew Arkk was born. Ardjin oftentimes looked after Arkk when Dessa was in the Fractal Observatory.

He met Vorpp and got with him when they decided to team up and experiment on the Secondborn Sylvari. Their relationship was built on mutual interest and steamy nights. They parted ways when Vorpp was attacked by Caithe and Faolain, reconsidering his career choice. Ardjin continued to further his experiments and joined the Inquest to make bio-genetic spliced monstrosities he could weaponize.

Ardjin met Magister Luura when he was hired to gather data and samples at an expedition site in Orr. He was really into Luura and she was into him, and the two got together. Luura got pregnant and Ardjin actually wanted to have her as his wife. However, when Luura discovered his affiliation with the Inquest, she wanted nothing to do with him. Luura gave birth to Zyffre, and Zyffre proved to be a promising and powerful little Elementalist. Ardjin wanted to take Zyffre to test his potential, but Luura wouldn't allow it.

A year later, he met another female Asura he kinda fell hard for, and actually planned to marry. This currently unnamed Asura was Teyo's mother and she passed away during childbirth. Ardjin was pretty devastated, but he raised Teyo himself. Teyo was his pride and joy, his favorite child. 25yrs later and Teyo is killed by the Asura PC in Personal Story, which set Ardjin off on a destructive path.

A year after Teyo's mother passed away, Ardjin had a secretary in one of his facilities that he had a one night stand with. She got pregnant and gave birth to Raennyn. His secretary didn't want to raise a child on her own and esp didn't want to be with a man who didn't want anything to do with her, so she essentially dumped Raennyn on Ardjin and left, never to be heard from again. Ardjin had no love for Raennyn and used him for experiments involving neurological testing for controlling golems with the mind. That failed horribly and nearly ended Raennyn's life. After that failure, Ardjin had Raennyn fitted for specific augmentations and had him trained as an assassin. Ardjin would use Raennyn to cut down competition, bring back ex-Inquest members, collect a debt, or whatever else Ardjin needed done.

Ardjin worked with some members of the Nightmare Court in Brisban Wildlands. He's created spliced Nightmare Hounds for a Duke named Deturavil. One of the spliced hound escaped.

Later down the line, he got in contact with a mysterious client that went by the alias of Ms B and he was commissioned to create a bio-genetic monster for her. He created Ensolyss. Once the deal was done, he returned to his main facility in Metrica Province. The Thaumanova incident happened, and Ardjin's main facility was badly damaged and had to be evacuated. Ardjin kinda laid low while he recovered from his injuries.

Once Ardjin recovered, he was contacted by Kuda and he was invited to Rata Primus to help her with the Specimen Chamber. His knowledge in splicing dragon minions came in handy. When Joko's forces appeared, Ardjin escaped via warp gate and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

So this is what I have for him so far. This is subject to be edited when I remember things and/or if new development occurs. And again, he's one of the OCs I have that I'm very open to AUs with.

HAPPY 10TH, QIRRI!

Ten years and tens of dozens of stories.

While she's not my oldest character, or even actually my second (Oaklinna is my oldest, and I made a couple others who were deleted years ago before her), she WAS my first asura. Qirri started out as something of a joke and a challenge- could I make an albino asura who was also just way too dang cute for her own good.

And I did! Here she is when I first made her- it would be a year after I made her before we got the hairstyle kit that really elevated her to an S Tier Rat:

From a stubborn, angry, scared fifteen year old girl who ran away from home to try to make a name for herself to the grown up krewe chief we know and love today, she's genuinely my favorite of all my characters, and she really got me into playing with the storytelling of this game. She got me into the lore and worldbuilding, and the past and fascinating storytelling that exists under the surface with the asura as a whole.

And, of course, my most beloved thing about her story: her little sister/big brother relationship with @wall-legion's big boy Garrus Firstblood, who adopted her into his warband.

If it hadn't been for Qirri, I may not have stayed as into GW2 as I am.

And thanks to being here, I got to meet a lot of really fun, really fascinating people and make some great friends.

So props to our tiniest little chronically ill albino terror. And here's to, hopefully, another ten years great years. Who knows where the story will take us all next?

So I learned today (while waiting for the Specimen Chamber meta with @wisp-enclosure) that if you throw a Jar of Harpy Pheromones at a mob or ambient creature, birds will spawn and attack them relentlessly.

Accidentally weaponized birds on an Inquest delivery boy with this method.

I'm also having the crazy idea of pulling OCs from folks who want to join in, whose OCs may have connections to NPCs in game and extend that chart into one massive AU chart

I used to be very miffed by the fact that Vorpp got away pretty much unscathed with experimenting on the captured Secondborn that resulted in majority of them dead.

And when you talk to him, he just dismisses it as "that was a long time ago, the world was different then" and your Commander just has to accept that cus he's helping you and Marjory deal with Scarlet Briar.

Anyway in my AU, Vorpp and Ardjin were a thing when they were working together on Sylvari experiments and only parted ways when Ardjin actually started to splice Sylvari into monstrosities instead of just using their lifeforce to power up golems.
