"O dear Kafeel! Where are you? O dear Flag bearer! Where are you?"
These screams came from the Hussaini (as) tents as the forces of Umar Ibn e Saad entered the tents of Imam Hussain (as) after they had killed all of the men of Bani Hashim including Imam Hussain (as). The extent of helplessness and despair these ladies must have felt. All the day they received blood ridden bodies of their dear beloveds and now their tents were set ablazed, their belongings were scattered, their veils were torn and their children were either missing in the battlefield, or killed due to trampling or fear. Many children died during shab e ashoor and many more died during the movement from Koofa to Shaam. But on Ashoor, post asr, when the opposition rolled their drums to declare their temporary victory, the egos of the oppressors were boosted so much that their extent of crimes was endless. They resorted to fear, race, and ridicule of the weak (women and children) to entertain themselves after a long day of butchery in the service of Ibn e Marjana (la) and Yazeed (la).
So when the voices reached a very mutilated and bruised body on Euphrates calling their "Kafeel", the bank of Euphrates saw a momentary intense current in the flow of Euphrates….
O Kafeel! Abal Fadhl (as)! Where are you?

Ziarat of Imam Hussain (as)
Sometimes all the heart wants is ziarat. It is not strange for the nafs and the heart to embrace fitrat (nature). The inherent nature is to embrace the truth. And who could be more true than his highness Imam Hussain (as)?
Sometimes all the heart wants is to coil back on the land of Imam Hussain (as). Because the remaining land that stretches throughout the Earth's circumference has no 'aman' for the wretched and berived who have nothing to do with the treachery of the world. Who want just to have a simple life spent cleaning the floor of the land of the dearest Imam (as). Who is more safe than the Imam himself who stood alone in front of thousands of spears and whispered praises and gratitude for Allah (swt)?
Sometimes all the heart wants is to disentangle self from the ugly shackles of life. The life which has many off shoots due to fast paced media so people have shunned their authenticity and embraced lies about themselves. There is a lie of virtual reality version of you, there is a lie for corporate persona of you, and their is a lie of your perception of you. In all these facades, the only power that unmask the truth of self and the truth of all is the dearest most Imam Hussain (as). The man who did not fear unraveling the fakeness of Umayyad pawns and their mass propaganda which Umayyads created through miscommunication and confusion in the religion that solely aimed to dilute the religion and divide the people till the judgement day. Who could be a better artist to bring out the real you from the gunk of the world than the man who acted as the beacon that is lit for eternity for those groping the darkness?
Ziarat of Aba Abdillah (as) is more than just the visitation. It is more than just getting your prayers. It is a warm hug from a father who knows you are tired. It is a lesson from a teacher who knows you have potential to excel but you inhibit yourself. It is a welcome from a friend who knows you need to shed off your burdens and feel light. It is a visit to a doctor who knows which parts of you are wounded and which ones are bruised and which ones are scared so there is a remedy for all ailments until your soul connects to your physical self. It is a hiatus from the world that overarches it's shadows on your beings suppressing the Universe that is within.
Ziarat of Imam Hussain (as) is everything The rest is nothing Allah please call us on ziarat of Imam Hussain (as) ❤️🙏

The sun of Ashoora is yet to rise
The sun of Ashoora is yet to rise On the day of blood bath Therefore the sun is reluctant To rise and unfold such a dawn Which ends in yazidi pawns Raising the head most beloved to the Universe On the tip of the spear!
Thus from the embrace of the dark sky Beneath which the holy chest still breathes And whispers supplications from parched lips And a cradle that's still warm holding the baby And the baby's tiny hands raised up in the air As if reaching out to unlock the gates of heaven The sun remains shy to unravel a deadly dawn By the end of which Hussain (as) would be gone…

The Two Severed Arms
Tumblr media
To the arms that held water, Only momentarily until they rejected it's coolness And slapped Euphrates for it's unworthiness When the parched lips of Sakina (sa) Still lamented "Al Atash" While the Euphrates flows!
To the arms that held, The water bag close to the chest, To safeguard the hopes of the children of Hussain (as) And to alleviate their longing and pain To bring water in bowls held in their tiny hands The hands, mighty enough to bring down the rains!
To the arms that lay severed On the plain of Karbala and picked one by one By the one who held those arms for thirty two years, He who broke and said, "Abbas! Where are you my dear?" The two arms that if had not been severed There wouldn't be Shaam and Sakina (sa) in tears…

Battle of Imam Hussain (as)
When Nadeem Sarwar wrote this in one of the latmiyah (noha) lyrics he wasn't wrong:
Bolay Ali (as) Hussain (as) ho ab bhi hawas main? Aesi TU Jang hum na laray bhook o piyas main
(ALI (as) asked Hussain (as) it is remarkable that after all you have been through you are still fighting the oppressors with such vigour and strength albeit being thirsty and hungry for three days - that is how come weakness has not yet over powered you!)
Tumblr media
Maqtal writes about the battle Imam Hussain (as) made and what is surprising is that many yazidi historians also write about Imam Hussain (as) final battle on Ashura! Words may not have enough potential to describe his fence and defense. Only perhaps to explain some gist in broken way is that Imam Hussain (as) loved Allah, Allah's Prophet (saww), Allah's religion, and Allah's Wali (as) so much that albeit the extent of adversity that one person could go through and a never ending array of heinous acts by the yazidis that could shatter one person mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, Imam Hussain (as) remained ever more affirm on his stance. Therefore, when he arrived in the battlefield and when he saw that only defense and fence is left he made his advance. His first advance shattered the central command of yaidis and disrupted their entire alignment so much that some ran to escape and hit the gates of the adjoining city Koofa! To capture this maqtal writes,
"The yazidis flee as if the grass hoppers skipping here and there aimlessly!"
Maqtal also writes that there are moments in Ashura when Imam Hussain (as) during his battle halted his advance and he alone was in the battle field because the yazidis were so afraid that they could dare not approach. While Imam Hussoan (as) halted maqtal says he was speaking to Allah (swt), the raaz o niaz. Meanwhile Umar IBN e Saad used to increase promises of bounties so his puppet, soul less army started to attack again, and this went on for a while.
Maqtal also says that one of the beauty of Imam Hussain (as) attacks was his devotion to Allah and the way he was remembering his Lord so he reiterated,
"By Allah, for Allah, no strength except Allah"
The skies had no Hijab that day therefore the Lord of Universes Himself witnessed Hussain (as) revert back lacs of army that stood against Allah's Deen and his Prophet (saww)! Therefore, Allah (swt) also sent His praise to Imam Ali (as) and Bibi Sayeda (sa) again on Ashura and He spoke to the angels who had formerly asked Allah (swt) to topple the Earth like He (swt) had done before when transgressors exceeded their limits and spread fitna and oppression. So Allah (swt) spoke,
"Praise on Hussain (as) and my salutations on Hussain (as) and his ancestors for verily they are the ones fulfilling their promise and I shall also render my promise to them!"
And then when it was time to deliver the promise by Mola Hussain (as) and the world was no longer suitable to be an abode for such a magnificent and loved soul, Allah (swt) spoke again:
“O tranquil soul!
Return to your Lord, well pleased ˹with Him˺ and well pleasing ˹to Him˺.
So join My servants,
and enter My Paradise.” (Surah Fajar 27 to 30)
Imam Hussain (as) when he heard that the Lord (swt) himself awaits his return, he ceased his sword.
Ibrahim (as) when he was being oppressed by Namrood and when he was asked what he thought about burning in the fire and dying he said, "Why delay meeting a dear friend (Allah)?"
Imam Hussain (as) was from Khalil ullah Hazrat Ibrahim's (as) generation and he remained affirm on the words of Khalil ullah (as) therefore, he responded to Allah's call in the following words while ceasing his attacks immediately and foregoing his sword,
"To Allah (swt) we belong and to Him (swt) we return."
And that was that. Yazidis slowly started overpowering Imam Hussain (as) until the point he was made a seive of wounds with blood oozing out of him and no form of attack remained that his soul did not receive. Stones, dust, rocks, spears, lances, swords, bludgeon and what not? And what is ahead is the worst of worst in the chequered past of so called Muslim history which… is the masaib of shahadat.

Management of sexual desire
Controlling the eyes
Sometimes seeking visual pleasures, makes the person dissolute and for example makes it Ok for him to read any book, look at any photo, or watch any movie.
All these create unnecessary and redundant thoughts and entangle the person
This also can bear bitter results for the soul, thoughts, and actions of the person for many years which on top of causing him regret and wasting his time and talents, will corrupt his life in this world and the hereafter.
Elevated people, like those with good scientific or spiritual development, do not easily waste their time on excess and unnecessary things.
among the sins of the eye which are haram in Islam, are looking at obscene pictures or movies, stalking others, meddling in others’ affairs, looking at the messages people have on their phone, looking at other people’s private documents or their private letters, and overall looking at anything private that others don’t want us to peer into.
The third thing that can help us control our eyes, is paying attention to the great rewards that are associated with controlling one’s eyes.
The reason many people are unable to concentrate on their prayers and enjoy them, is because their minds are entangled with impurities and haram inputs and is corrupted by them.
One must pay attention that he is in the presence of God. God is omnipresent. There’s nothing that God doesn’t embrace.
We are continuously being seen by God and angels; in fact our life flows in their presence.
Paying attention to this fact that we are in His presence, gives great amount of power to us in controlling our behaviors and our five senses.

I stood in front of Zarih e Aba Abdillah (as) and I stood as if there was nothing but me and my Aqa Hussain (as). I was reluctant to approach the zarih as I felt drenched in my sins and wrapped in my egoistic whims. All year long I had been forgetful and drowned in the life's lure until now with my broken heart. I uttered, "I am sorry." and as if someone had said in a motherly tone, "We haven't forgotten you even if you have."
And I wrapped my arms around the zarih. Hussain (as) till date is creating Hur (as) emancipation people like me.

I have learned fearlessness from a man who saw million arrows pointed at him and still said NO to injustice, oppression and treachery.
Tumblr media
I learned needlessness from a man who was deprived of water for three days and he neither trembled nor bowed in front of the ruler who was drunk on power and authority.
I learned relying on Allah as source of strength in all times from a man who buried his own infant and praised Almighty for His numerous blessings.
I learned genuine and pure love as the answer to all wounds from a man who was spitting blood due to wounds and still asking his killer to not gain more sins by spilling his blood as he was soon to succumb to his wound and still his killer perpetrated butchery.
I learned authenticity and being real from a man who was very honest with his companions on the night of ninth muharam. He told his companions that being with him was inviting death and there was no need to be with him as the opposition would not restrain from spilling blood and his blood was all they are after. He asked them to leave and save themselves yet they remained. Where else to go other than Imam Hussain (as)? What is better? Nothing.
Imam Hussain (as) is worth knowing, worth discussing, worth being told, admired and adored and he is unprecedented and unmatched. He guides till date the souls that wander astray and he strengthen souls to remain affirm in face of adversity.
Arbaeen is a strong pledge that there is no forgetting what he had endured and making sure that what he had endured does not perpetrate again in any form, in any name, and if it does, there is a strong resistance to such or any form of oppression.

HAZRAT ABBAS (AS)
Tumblr media
When the dust of sand rises from the desert plain,
And the hands that dip in water only to remind Euphrates,
That eternity is yet to go and the heart of Euphrates,
Has nothing but regret to spend this time,
If Hussain's (as) children remained thirsty while Euphrates still flows,
And the hands grab the pail to return.
When the dust of the sand settles,
And the drops of blood make the sand crimson,
And the hands that are severed fall on its heart,
And the hands that are collected by someone with a broken back,
To return these hands to the tents, as the only remains,
Of the one and only dear beloved!
Oh, the thirst that never caused a request for water ever since!
Ya Abbas (as)
Haye Abbas (as)
Ya Hussain (as)

Maqtal says that when Imam Hussain (as) reached Abbas (as) on Euphrates, his head was split open because they hit him with buldgeon. One of his eyes had blood settled in it due to head injury however the head injury was also accompanied by an arrow pierced in his left eye which was weighing his head down. His rib was crushed. His chest was bruised with Mashq sown on his chest with the arrow piercing his chest. His spine was broken due to buldgeon attack with spikes.
When Hazrat Abbas (as) fell from the horse… He had no hands to support, he fell face first chest first so the spears and arrows went from chest to back, his head hit the ground first due to weight of the arrow in his left eye… They didn't just attack Abbas (as) the yazidis attacked the reflection of Ali (as) so they broke him into pieces…. Further they feared him so much that whilst beheading him they struck his body with more swords making sure he would rise although he was martyred already….
Maqtal writes that when imam Hussain (as) tried to lift his body to put his head in his lap he was taking last breaths and his body was shattered that when he placed his hand on his back to lift him the body further sank like pieces falling apart …
Ya Abbas (as) Salutations on you!
