my advice to you is to never waste your time trying to fit into a club or hobby or any community who makes you beg for acceptance and approval just to participate when you could do the alternative—get involved in a niche and endangered hobby run primarily by old people.

i wanted to learn how to hunt ruffed grouse and train bird dogs so i sent an email to my local chapter of the ruffed grouse society explaining that getting into wildlife groups is intimidating to me because I’m trans

and all they saw was that someone under 60 wanted to learn to hunt grouse & several months into my mentorship I was told that like 7 old guys argued over me until they had to pick a number between 1 and 100 to decide who got to personally mentor me.

Okay I've had this project open for like. Way too long now and I've hit a brick wall with it but i still would like to share what I have so here's this idea I've been mulling around about the disco skills being court jesters. Could you elaborate more on the ZA/UM thing? I thought the documentary painted the company in a pretty bad light and exposed some very suspicious financial fuckery. Granted Kurvitz also came out of it looking bad but it's not surprising to me at all go hear that an ~auteur~ creative was a shit manager and an interpersonal nightmare. A lot of them are.

Doing that documentary while the lawsuits were ongoing and taking at neutral face value the word of workers who are financially dependent on the finance scumbags in question who directly financially benefit from the original creators names being publicly dragged through the mud was at best misguided by people make games
