I've had several Americans ask if we did military discount because they were in the army. Like, even if we did, why would we give a military discount to foreign military personnel?
Too tired to draw but I still need everyone to be aware of this bizarre interaction I had at work this morning
im not a very patriotic woman but i nonetheless whole-heartedly support every drive-through employee’s constitutional right to be blazed out of their fuckin gourd
all goofing aside I genuinely don't understand the urge to reimagine Taylor Allison Swift as a secretly queer icon when the pop music scene(TM) is like. literally overflowing with women who actually like women. Gaga and Kesha and Miley and Halsey are right there. Rina Sawayama and Hayley Kiyoko and Rebecca Black and Kehlani and Victoria Monét and Miya Folick if you're willing to get slightly less top 100. Janelle and Demi for them nonbinary takes on liking girls. like what are we doing here. like I'm not even saying you can't enjoy Taylor but why would you hang all your little gay hopes on her.
Yeah, I don't think that's accurate. The real-life ingredients of moon tea are known to be abortifacients and also highly toxic, but several characters (Asha, Arianne and Ygritte, for example) have drunk it and been fine afterwards, and they treat it casually. Lysa was an exception. Everyone else is just "oh I had sex, better find a witch to make me some magical abortion/birth control juice." I personally think it's symbolic of the fact that Lysa didn't consent to it. It was used as a tool to deny her agency, whereas for other characters its a tool of their agency.
pet peeve is how hotd + fanfic have this perception of moon tea as medieval plan b and not straight up womb destroying poison
So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Fuck Israel and fuck everyone who still wants to pretend this is confusing or complicated. Is it really that hard to point out the "bad people" in a scenario where a multi-billion military apparatus is handcuffing and killing children and medical staff inside a fucking hospital?
the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.
