you huffed, throwing the controller to the side as the words ‘try again’ flashed on the tv screen in bright colors.

sitting on the sofa, your bare legs crossed and your shirt falling off one of your shoulders, you were too bored to properly focus on your game. the heat of the warm afternoon was making you sweat, your hair clinging to your nape and temples, contributing to your frustration.

huffing again, you leaned your head back until it was resting against the back of the couch. as expected the plain white ceiling didn’t offer any kind of entertainment so your eyes traveled on, by far, the best source of leisure in the living room. or the entire house, if you had to speak for yourself.

chan was sitting on the wooden floor, a myriad of scribbled papers all around him as if he was in the middle of a white flower. he was bare chested, his shirt gracing your body instead, and completely enthralled in his own world. sweat was making his skin glisten, and the sight of his eyebrows drawn together in concentration was even hotter than the summer’s unforgiving sun.

you bit your lips, your eyes never leaving your boyfriend’s inviting figure. chan was working, of course you knew that, and you shouldn’t bother him. but he’d been sitting there, his back arched in a way that couldn’t be good to him, for far too long. caring for his health was one of your duties, you thought, nodding to yourself as a smile curved your lips.

slowly, you lowered yourself to the ground, the coldness of it making you sigh in temporary relief. chan wouldn’t have looked up from his music sheets if an earthquake had suddenly shaked your apartment complex, but you still tried to make the least noise possible. moving towards him on your knees and hands, you chuckled to yourself, feeling silly but too playful and needy to stop.

chan didn’t notice you until you reached the papers closest to him, your fingers carefully placed on the free spaces within the notes to not ruin his work. his frown disappeared as soon as his eyes landed on you, and you laughed when he whistled lowly.

“well hello,” chan said, leaning back on his hands.

you finally reached him and sat on his lap, your hands naturally traveling from his biceps to his wide shoulders. “hi.”

“what are you doing, sweetheart?” he said, one of his hands coming up to wrap around your waist.

“caring for my boyfriend, who’s going to get scoliosis if he doesn’t stop sitting hunched over like this,” you scolded him, but chan knew there was no bite behind it.

“i’m almost done, baby, i promise,” he said, leaning forward to wrap both his arms around you.

it was way too warm to be sitting this close, your thighs clinging to the skin of his torso almost uncomfortably. unsurprisingly, it did nothing more than riling you up even more, your mind coming up with all the ways you could be making each other sweat instead.

“give me a kiss,” you whispered, your hands moving to wrap around his neck.

chan looked at you, breathing deeply from his nose. he knew that a kiss was never just a kiss when you were like this, and giving in meant not getting any work done for the rest of the afternoon. your eyes were gleaming and he found himself trapped in them like always, too smitten to look away. the only other thing that had that power over him was your mouth. it was calling him, and he couldn’t ignore it much longer.

“baby…” chan whispered back, the last ounce of resolve on the verge of leaving him.

you raised his chin with your finger, adjusting in his lap in a way that was everything but casual, and smiled when you saw him gulp. “a kiss.”

his lips crashed onto yours so strongly it made you squeal, but you immediately answered just as passionately. chan caressed your back and your sides as you carded your fingers in his dark locks. you pulled gently but enough to make him groan, and you knew you won when his hands gripped the bottom of your thighs.

chan stood up and carried you out of the room, music sheets and future songs forgotten as he lost himself in the softness of your flesh.
