do i think anyone should write about him? no. nothing positive will come from you imagining yourself in maria’s place, other than your own arousal for whatever reason you have to be getting off on that. i understand you may want to process your trauma, and thats why the movie exists. simply watch it. rewatch it as many times as you want. thats why luna made this. not so people could write romantic fanfiction about it, which i’m sure would be incredibly disheartening and a disservice to her and her story (as this is personal to her).

are you going to do what you want? yes. but before you click post, i encourage you to really think about why you’re getting off to this, and why you feel the need to imagine yourself in her place. is it healthy? for you? for the people who currently exist to just consume fics about joe (because they do exist, there is some in every fandom) with no context?

again, i plan on supporting this movie, watching it because i know i can stomach it and the message is much more important than my discomfort. but i have no plans on supporting fanfiction about this, especially if the message from it is that you want to cum for him.

there is a variety of other characters from joe you can romanticize for that purpose. this one was written by a woman with the intention that he would never be seen in a good light. that is why people are unwilling to sacrifice their morals about this. its not really up for debate, but a large amount of people here seem to think they are above having morals because they’re forced to have them off of this website.

if you’re take away from the hoard is only about michael being hot, seek help.

the film is about bringing awareness to what maria went through, not for you to fawn over the creepy dude who groomed her.

sure, we all love joe but that doesn’t mean we have to be all over michael.

i’m also sick of seeing the victim blaming going on to. movie or not, it’s very telling to who you are as a person.
