More “wtf are humans, please leave the rest of us be” stuff:
Human reactions to fear!
No, I’m not talking about screaming or freezing in one spot and pissing yourself. I’m talking about the weirder, more specific-to-only-humans fear reactions.
Like singing.
Idk how many of you have watched people play horror video games, but a surprising amount of people start narrating what’s going on in a sing-song voice.
Imagine being an alien, walking in a horrific, dark tunnel with these weird gangly creatures, you’re all scared out of your wits and then one of them starts fucking singing.
In a dark cave. While everyone’s terrified.
“ ♫ ~We are all gonna fucking die, this is terrible and I wanna go hooooome~ ♬ ”
I like to think that the way they confess at the end is when Ward gives Holly a ring or earring.
Some types of birds give shiny things to their partner as a demonstration of love.
Welp... What should i say... Gays
Holly gave Ward honeysuckle as a gift (😏 look for the meaning)
"Y-yeah... That's for you..."
"Oh... Looks weird, but thanks..."
Also! I have a head canon that if they'd ever tried to show affection towards each other, they'll show it the way that their species shows it, leaving another one in confusion
"Hey! Ward! I got you some materials for your nest! I picked the best ones!"
"Erhm... Ok?"
So teegardenians show affection through feather grooming, helping to make nests (?), sharing with treasures they found, muzzles and churrings. Looks obvious, but Ward just doesnt pay attention to it... You may think that Ward is a tough thinker but...
Holly is not better... 😅😅😅
"What was that? Is that another way you humans greeting each other?"
