-Several people have been arrested; police teargassed and shot rubber bullets at protesters of all ages, students and faculty, journalists.

GENUINELY I think LITWTC is cursed. I don't listen to it at work anymore because every time I did one of our analyzers experienced freak hardware failures never before seen by the other lab folks who I call for help. (We run blood work for the er. It is vital that these analyzers be up and running).

There's nothing quite like listening to those dudes yap and then having to rip your headphones off because there's a fun new error code you've never seen before and you gotta lock in.

And now you have to tell the doctor why their patients' labs won't be back for another hour or more. And they need to run the "are they having a heart attack" test.

And it happens enough times that you start to correlate it.

Also when you stop listening to the pod, the errors and malfunctions stop also.

I just think it's neat.

the Columbia University arrests are worse than they seem. They're arresting protesting students for trespassing. It goes without saying students cannot meaningfully "trespass" in the common areas of a university they attend. So Columbia University has suspended all student protestors from their institution, in the process revoking their access to housing, their belonging, and most crucially damaging their academic futures. We are witnessing full scale silencing and removal of anyone of conscience from the next generation of academia.
