fun language learning exercise from the wildly outdated textbook i was assigned to teach russian from in grad school. it's actually a great exercise, giving students a real-world russian text that has a lot of easy-to-figure out words (cognates, transliterated english names) and asking them to infer as much info as they can.
the text is a "pirate video parade" listing the top 10 most popular movies showing in pirate video salons in moscow in september 1992. numbers 1 & 3 are officially liscenced releases, but the rest are not. interesting little time capsule...

i knew медленно as "slowly," so my initial assumption was "not slowly, but not necessarily very quickly either, at a moderately quick pace." but no, it's immediately. now i understand better because...
