#for how serious tex is i think the terms of endearment he'd use are pretty funny like 'sleepyhead' and 'goofball' #he uses these names for his chao as well so they're just generally affectionate as opposed to being romantic #except for 'troublemaker' which is different and specifically for rain #typical names are too cutesy/mushy/overly-romantic; he and rain both dislike most of them #rain uses 'cowboy' sometimes for fun (tex is so cowboy coded lol) or at their most saccharine they might say 'MY cowboy' #even regarding names tex likes most i don't think he cares THAT much to hear them since his and rain's relationship is so chill

#rain (s/i) does not like to celebrate their birthday #a simple 'happy birthday' is enough and they make that boundary very clear #tex (f/o) is a real quiet guy so he already wouldn't plan anything elaborate by default #still he makes it a point to spend the day with rain just to show that he cares and rain likes that just fine

#rain could convince tex to dress up i think #he would be a cowboy #the cool rugged kind of cowboy you'd see in like an apocalyptic setting (as opposed to funny/cartoony) #nothing over the top—it just naturally suits him #rain's would be some kind of gasmask guy and it might sort of match in the sense that their costumes could exist in the same setting
