Hi everyone! I’ll try to reblog some more in-depth posts about this but in case you didn’t know: Today, September 30th, is Orange Shirt Day (also known as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation), a day that commemorates survivors of residential schools (in Canada)/Indian boarding schools (in the US) as well as acknowledge those who did not survive. And in general acknowledge the horrific atrocities that happened at residential schools (in Canada)/Indian boarding schools (in the US). 

Make no mistake, this was a genocide. They have found, so far, over 2,300 bodies of children in unmarked graves across 20 residential schools in Canada (and they are still looking, there were over 139 schools, so they still have 119 schools to search) and over 500 in the US (I cannot find how many schools they’ve searched but they are still searching, there were over 350 schools).

I would really love to see some of my followers donate to one of the following organizations today (I cannot hyperlink them as it would not show up in the tags if I did, but all are easily google-able) and/or spread the word about this and reblog this post:

to say this is on par with “filipinx” or that it’s mere virtue-signalling makes me think u grew up in this bubble and that’s why separating us is important. bc you do not speak for me. our experiences are not the same. i did not grow up like you, not caring about any of this. filipinos around me cared. it’s not a virtue-signalling roleplay invention, it’s real + important for many filipinos. not for you but FOR OTHER FILIPINOS and do not erase us or invalidate us.

To cut to the chase, my names zeke im black bi trans and have multiple disabilities. Ive been financially supporting my dad these past few months with my disability benefits since our home situation became unstable a few months ago and from today we're homeless. We have somewhere to stay in the short term but will have to seek help from the local homelessness support soon and possibly try to get the funding to put a deposit on somewhere to live.

Embarrassing to admit but due to several manic episodes during my time at university im £1000+ into my overdraft and have no hope of getting out of it due to me being unable to work and not enough money to last the month.

Hello, all.

I logged into my rent account to make an early rent payment, and it’s saying my account is late. I tried to pay the almost $300 I do have, but it requires all $640 at once.

I am in DESPERATE need of funds to keep me and my cat from being evicted. I need $400 ASAP for rent, I’m literally panicking so hard right now. I’m going to talk to the office first thing in the morning and see if it’s an error. But in the meantime, since I’m sure somehow it’s not an error, I desperately need help.
