I just watched the entire Twilight series for the first time and, not to be dramatic, but I will never forgive the internet for convincing me Edward doesn’t care about Bella. for those who don’t know, hulu’s under the bridge is based off of the very real and brutal death of a 14-year-old girl. the story of reena virk is widely known and is still talked about where i grew up. her family has run anti-bullying campaigns across the province for as long as i can remember.

so while i know a lot of people will watch it in the coming days for lily gladstone and riley keough, i hope you also take away the message that i think the show is doing a god job of delivering so far: if bullying and racism go unchecked, the consequences can be dire for those who are the the most vulnerable. if you are silent, you are complicit.
