Here's my #bestnine2017 ! Lessons learned: it's not about the numbers. I started creating mandalas on July 2015, and I was fortunate enough to reach 10K by the end of the year. 2016 was super kind to me, and I got to 50K. Then, by the end of 2017, I'm barely over 59K. For reasons beyond my control, the account stopped growing and it was very discouraging to see it shrink over a few weeks. Some days I had artist's block and my style became stagnated, but coming up with complicated techniques for the sake of numbers, *and not for the fun of it* was wrong. Still, I'm proud I managed to complete my 200 challenge (never again!😂) and grateful to be part of this amazing community. The best part of the year were the people I met, the tips and encouragement we shared. Next year I hope to make something more loose and creative with this account. I've been admiring Islamic geometric art, calligraphy and watercolor artists for a while, so I figured it's time to take my first steps. I'll probably loose followers on that decision, but hey, it's about the #ArtNotNumbers! I wish you all a most creative 2018 ❤
