The creature opens its mouth wide to mimic a flower, in the hope that an unfortunate pollinator organism makes its last mistake.

Consciousness on Luna
Tumblr media
Brains on Luna inhabit multiple body’s, so a collective of organisms that share a brain work together on a same goal, achieving it quicker and more efficiently. However there is a limit to how many body’s one brain control, since a brain is spread out evenly throughout it’s body’s . a Body needs a minimum amount of brain to perform necessary functions. A brain can (typically) only control the species it was born inhabiting, however there is a few exceptions. Remember there is no central Body or brain (although some species have evolved to have a “mother” organism with many little organisms under its control). On Luna the brain and Body are seperate things, a brain dies when all it’s body’s die along with its portion of brain, a body dies when it has suffered enough damage to vital functions. If a brain exits a body, it leaves the body as a shell, the body performs only the functions vital to keep the it alive. A brain of the same species of the shell inhabiting a body could find and take over this shell.

After watching the Dune movies I just had to design a wormy :)
they belong to third kingdom described in this posts: https://www.tumblr.com/missionluna/739265322832592896/life-on-luna-evolved-in-a-third-direction-other?source=share, and this post: https://www.tumblr.com/missionluna/740350995257769984/the-third-direction-mentioned-earlier-has-two?source=share

(The organisms shown as examples are not referring to any specific species or group of organisms on Luna)
Life cycle two: the organism that use this strategy choose their mate before actual mating, the reason they do this is because the female needs to gain energy stores in preparation for impregnating and birth, so instead of taking time to mate, the male can be out gathering food and nesting materials while the female is mating.
Tumblr media
Life cycle two: this type of reproduction works best with smaller organisms that have have less time to mate, however it also removes any sort of bond between the male and female.
Tumblr media
The lifespan of a mater organism varies hugely, some mate once then die others live as long as the birther organism and mate multiple times or stick around to help care for its offspring.
The males posses a pair of backwards facing organs used to insert into the females left or right cloacal vent and to deliver the male gametes to fertilise the female, akin to sharks claspers, depending on which side the organisms mate either the right or left one is used.

These organism fly up to 12,800 meters in Lunas atmosphere. They can reach length of up to 4 meters, and mainly prey on Apes Avems or Living Sea Tubers (a predatory sea urchin like organism that is hidden among very poisonous Sea Tuber).

The Lunan Kōkako is named after the kōkako bird from New Zealand on earth, because of the blue wattles that the males posses. Their ability to mimic sounds of anything that they have ever heard, especially the sounds of predators, is also reminiscent of the New Zealand kōkako. Their iconic upturned beak is very strong, strong enough to break your fingers with ease. The beak’s purpose is both to reach up to flowers to drink the pollen with its two tongues and for self defence. It also has the ability to learn and remember tricks, and exhibits behaviour of curiosity and intelligence, to the point of using tools to achieve its endeavours.
They are a popular pet throughout solar systems.

If you visited Luna’s beaches you might find one of these pulling themselves along in the surf, after finding a sufficient spot they will stick themselves in the sand, where the water is around 20 centimetres deep, to filter feed on any microorganisms that might wash into their feather like mouths
Tumblr media
They are around ten to fifteen centimetres in height.
