I rarely have people talk to me in stores, where I tend to rush around and do things very quickly with what I imagine is a very non-personable face.

Of course, once somebody talks to me, it shatters my entire demeanor and I become a nervous, smiling mess.

The Momonga is a type of flying squirrel.

Its body is 4-5” long (14–20cm) and the tail length is also 4-5” long (10–14cm). It weighs 5-6 ounces (150–220g). It is much smaller than the Japanese giant flying squirrel which can reach 3-1/2 pounds (1500g). Its back is covered with grey brown hair, and its belly is white. It has large eyes and a flattened tail. It is exceedingly cute.

It inhabits sub-alpine forests in Japan. It is nocturnal, and during the day it rests in holes in trees. It eats seeds, fruit, tree leaves, buds and bark. It can leap from tree to tree using a gliding membrane.

It faces threats from habitat destruction.

Yamanote JR Line at Takadanobaba Station. This was the line I often took and the closest JR station to my university and dorm. I just recently found out that the Baba station song is from Astroboy. Interesting. I’ve never seen Astroboy though.

Why can’t public transportation be like that over here?
