Yep, it's a translation thing. (I can only speak on the Spanish-speaking side)
If I remember correctly, in the books, not only Arsène becomes Arsenio, other characters also receive changes to their names, they are slight changes (in most cases).
Although, the version I have of "La Condensa de Cagliostro" has named Jean as Juan. Now that's a big translation change (・∀・).
However, I think calling Arsène as Arsenio is something that is not done much nowadays. Almost all the current translation books I have of Arsène Lupin, this one is called Arsène.
P.D: I have found some old Italian covers, where the name of Maurice Leblanc is also translated to Maurizio.
Examples:
If its not obvious, the Arsène Lupin pronunciation polls are because the 1930s American movies are pretty funny to watch, what with them pronouncing his name "Are-sane Lou-pan"
The wiki also lists multiple movies as "Arsènio" Lupin.
🤔 is Arsène into Arsènio a translation thing? I'm always curious about the how/why names change in languages; seems to be Arsènio in both Spanish and Italian films, at least going by the titles on the wiki.

I was bored in class so I decided to draw. I wanted to draw a miniature Isidore for a while. And that's what I did!
The drawing has some dialogues and I only put the initials of the characters, so here I leave what each initial means.
AL = Arsène Lupin
SH = Sherlock Holmes
ML = Maurice Leblanc
And yes, Sherlock Holmes because I don't like the copyright-free version >:(

Does anyone have any strange anecdotes that relate to their readings about Arsène Lupin?
In my case one of those anecdotes was when Google for some reason did not give me information about the OR Arsène Lupin. I literally only got information about Remus Lupin or Lupin III. Mainly of Remus Lupin.....(@_@)

I had forgotten that I had some Arsène Lupin stuff on my computer and among them I have the 2004 Arsène Lupin movie downloaded (o´･_･).
I don't remember where I got it from, but I do know that it is in poor quality and dubbed into Spanish. If I'm honest, every time I hear Lupin's voice it makes me a little nervous, I don't know why ┐(￣ヘ￣)┌.
I will keep this clip as my favorite because it represents what I felt when watching this movie:
