I honestly can't stand how so many humans' "solution" to wolves taking livestock once in a while (it's still an extremely rare occurane no matter how much certain people claim it happens all the time) is killing the wolves (which just weakens the pack and makes them more likely to look for an easy meal like livestock). When having livestock guardian dogs that scare the wolves away before they even get to the livestock has proven to be a far better solution time and time again and has worked for hundreds of years. THERE ARE ACTUAL STUDIES AND VIDEO EVIDENCE PROVING LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOGS WORK AMAZINGLY WELL AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO KILL THE WOLVES. I've seen in a documentary how incredibly well a diverse (when it comes to personality of the dogs) group of livestock guardian dogs deters wolves. It's been proven to work long term much better than shooting wolves.

Why are humans so infuriatingly willingly ignorant and selfish. They just refuse to learn even if the scientific evidence is right there, because killing takes less effort than having a dog. I can't stand that shit.
