At what point is it considered weak to still check up on someone who you care about but is no longer in your life via social media and asking their friends how they're doing? I made a stupid promise to myself and if I were to keep it, I'd be done right now but it's so fucking hard to completely give up on the person you've considered your best friend for 13 years. I guess this is it though. @her, Bye dude thanks for the good times. I wish we could have made it to adulthood together, and completed all of our dreams and goals and raised our fricken kids together like we have always planned and traveled the world and hiked every mountain and drank wine at the top of a tree but it takes two to make these things happen and the fact that you couldn't even say two fucking words to me the other day gives me the exact message I was not wanting to hear but I'll take it and live my life. When my mom was in highschool and college everyone contacted each other via landline or postage. She always talks about how she has friends who she wish she'd stayed in contact with but she has no way to find them because they're probably remarried and have different names now; she only stayed in contact with a couple of her closest friends. It's crazy for me to think about how this generation and future generations won't have that problem. We have so much social media and this crazy thing called the Internet that finding an old friend will take seconds, not years!!? Wow

Rosemary says June isn't invited to our party and I can't figure out how I feel about this. Like I really want her to be there because I have this tiny bit of hope that she will talk to me since it's my bday but then again she probably won't and if she doesn't I'll be pretty bummed about that. So maybe it's better that she doesn't come. I'm really trying not to lose hope about getting my best friend back but I'm also wondering when it's going to be time to let it go and forget about it. Apparently 12 years of friendship really doesn't mean shit.
