Just finished The Forgotten City.

Let me start this by saying I fucking love the Skyrim mod this game was based off. It’s a phenominal mod and quite possibly one of the best quest mods in the line up. This game lived up to it’s predecessor, at least in my opinion.

It’s similar to the mod, but different enough to be it’s own experience. It’s fun, open-ended, with great characters and rewards playing peacefully with lots of exploration. I could not recommend it more, especially if you liked the Skyrim mod. I promise you, having played the Skyrim mod will not lessen the experience of this game, it is completely worth playing!

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

A few septims, jewelry containing flawless gems, notes that were either stolen or she needs to slip into another person's pocket. Mostly stolen goods.

34. Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time or immediately move on to a different solution/method?

She gives things at least three tries before moving onto something different. Sometimes, though, she knows the method works, and she's too stubborn if it doesn't work a few times to try and try again until it does. Needless to say, it's a good thing Brynjold gave her unbreakable lockpicks.

41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?

After the life she's had? Absolutely she thinks she deserves it. Adi will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

Plenty of things! Growing up in Honorhall, becoming Dragonborn, joining the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild after. Those are just a few examples.

Bryn would be the one that knows the most, but some have caught on or have heard her stories.

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

The Kart to Helgen. She woke up in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people, approaching her death with every second that passed. Adi hates uncertainty and is terrified when she doesn't know her surroundings.

27. How does your character normally deal with confrontation?

Depends on the confrontation. If it's someone she cares about, it's scary, and she becomes quiet and retreats. If it's someone she absolutely can't stand, Adi, lets the Blade of Woe do the talking.

She pushes herself, for sure. Adi often goes until she physically and mentally can't anymore, especially out of spite when someone tells her to rest. No one tells her what to do, not even Brynjolf.

Ways Jains says I love you

I’m assuming you’re meaning other than just outright saying “I love you” she has a couple of ways

For friends/family - sentimental gifts, comforting embraces, being there for them when they need to talk to someone, a shoulder to cry on if needed

For a “special someone” - all of the above but would get more intimate; hand holding, wiping shed tears off their cheek, insisting on their love talking to them about anything they need to, slow intimate hugs, insisting they get some sleep when they are refusing to do so, etc, etc. And in terms of gifts, something meaningful, that would be cherished by their love

If you meant how they would say it… I think she’d just blurt it out, during a perfectly normal conversation, either that or during a private moment she admit it to him, as of yet if not decided which it is going to be

Random question incoming! Do you drink alcohol? And if so, what’s your preference?

If you don’t drink alcohol, what’s your favourite drink?

I do! Albeit, not much.

My preference is a bit all over the place? I love wine but only whites, roses, and sparkling. There's one, maybe two reds I've liked, and that's it. The only liquor I'll shoot is tequila. I love cocktails, but they are usually more on the sweeter or floral side. I hate bitterness or something too strong, but I've been growing a taste for whiskey as I try more.

My go-to panic order is a rum and coke, spiced rum only. We only have spiced rum and Bailey's in the place because my roommate doesn't drink, it's an expensive purchase, and l need to be careful how much I consume.

My favourite non-alcoholic drink is coca-cola or any tea that doesn't contain eucalyptus because I'm severely allergic

Mercer isn't smarter than Brynjolf, but he's close enough to him that he knows how to hurt him.

Brynjolf takes on a lot of responsibility, since even though Mercer is Guildmaster it seems like Bryn has to do all the hard stuff. He is barely keeping the guild together, and it's mentioned that Mercer has such a temper that no one goes to him anyways. They always go to Brynjolf, who is doing the best he can.

And Mercer knows that Brynjolf is smarter than him, so he does everything he can to keep him down. He discourages Brynjolf's interest in the falmer (which we see fail when Brynjolf can read Falmeri.), he explodes on him too (although Brynjolf seems generally Used To It), and it's implied he sent you to Goldenglow to get you killed, because "even Vex" couldn't get in.

And then Karliah's name comes up. Mercer internally panics, because that truly means it could all come to light. He was able to pin Gallus' murder on her, but only because no one had the time or energy to look closely. But when you show up, the Guild has new life breathed into it.

And you clearly mean something to Brynjolf. He's thrilled when you get down into the Flagon, after Goldenglow, when Maven asks for you by name, he's your friend. He's so excited both that you're helping the Guild in the way you are, and that he gets to be right there to see it.

Mercer has to get rid of you. You are ruining everything. A happy Brynjolf is a Brynjolf that could think and find out the truth. So it's so, so perfect when Karliah practically invites him to battle her. Mercer can take you with him, have you killed, and pin that on Karliah too. Brynjolf will be heartbroken, you'll be out of the way, and the story of Gallus' murder becomes that much more plausible with another victim.

And of course Brynjolf runs out after you and Mercer. He, of all people, knows how dangerous Karliah is. He was there for Gallus' murder, he's been watching her try and take the guild down from the inside, he knows. So even though Mercer insists to him to let you and he handle it, Bryn still goes out after the two of you.

And then Brynjolf learns you died. Karliah killed you, just as she killed Gallus. She truly is trying to destroy the guild. Mercer even tells him that your last words, your last thoughts, they were for Brynjolf. You, Brynjolf's friend and protégé, had whispered his name in your final moments.

Brynjolf is heartbroken, and Mercer is right there to make sure he stays heartbroken.

Possibly AC Syndicate! We'll see how much time we have. I can't juggle two different fics at once.

Nope! I can't draw, technology is the bane of my existence, and I absolutely despise editing in any form. I find it boring and confusing so I can't stick to it for long.

19. Would you consider non-fandom writing events, like NaNoWriMo or writing contests? 

Nah, I find that to be stressful. I know NaNoWriMo works for many people, but I can't force myself to get words on a page unless it's for a class. I do my best writing when there's little pressure, and the words want to be on the page.

6. Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list?

Nothing at the moment because we're back to classes tomorrow, and all three of my courses are writing heavy to some extent. I'll be super drained from that, plus my part-time people-centred job.

I will be slowly planning and beginning to work on the ALL sequel with the aim to have a backlog of chapters for the summer.

I've also been wanting to write an AC Syndicate fic. Jacob/OC, specifically. That'll happen when it happens.

11. Would you like to try any new fanfic genres or tropes this year?

Maybe! Depends on if there's time or if I have the capacity for it!
