Kurisu continued to lean against the wall while thinking.  Staying near a wall wasn’t going to help at all.  She needed a place of peace.  Kurisu started walking through the streets of the city once more.  She looked around the city and at the huge skyscrapers.  She was certainly not in Akihabara.

Where did the sign say I was staying at again?  H-2, was it?

She sighed and kept walking.  She figured that she’ll just find the map and go to the room she was staying in.  The brunette then started looking for a map of the city.  Kurisu figured they’d have the boards of them around somewhere.  As she walked, Kurisu saw someone familiar in the distance.  The dress and the hat the girl wore looked really familiar.

That girl looks like…  No…  Wait, is it?  It is…!

Kurisu approached the familiar looking girl.  She got close enough and called out to her.

“Mayuri?  Is that you?”

-A familiar voice…please tell Mayushii that voice is…

Yes…it really was Kurisu Makise…!

Mayuri’s eyes swelled in tears of joy… She was only lost for maybe an hour or two, but the time felt as if she was gone forever.

“Ah..! Kurisu-chan!”

She ran straight into her arms and gave her a big warm hug. Most of her worries were washed away by seeing her friend! She felt safe once more.

“Kurisu chan~ Tutturu~ ♪”

Mayuri greeted her and backed away from her arms and smiled innocently, with her arms behind her back.

“Mayushii was really lost in this city. Mayushii doesn’t know where she is…or where this place is… Does Kurisu-chan know where we are…? and is…Okarin here too?”

Her blue eyes looked up at the scientist and pondered the possibilities on what could have happened to them… or simply.. just waited until the genius Kurisu came up with many explanations on why and where they are…

As she was hugged, Kurisu blushed lightly.  This show of affection made her slightly nervous but mostly relieved that there was a familiar face in this foreign setting.  However, she wondered why Mayuri was here.  Was she also selected to take part in the social experiment?  That's that only answer she could think of at the moment.  She sighed and began to answer Mayuri's questions as best as possible.

"I've been told we're in some sort of place named Hive City," she began.  "That happens to be in a different universe."

The researcher didn't actually believe she said that but that was the truth.  The two friends were in a completely different universe.  But Kurisu wondered about Mayuri's question.  Was Okabe here?  She didn't know the answer to that question.

"Lastly, I don't know if Okabe is here.  I haven't sighted him at all."

Mayushii does not understand where she is...[C-A open]

“Hello, my name is Makise Kurisu.  Who might you be?”

❝ Once again Mamimi sat on a bench and took a break from ‘reality’, smoking a cigarette. When suddenly… she noticed someone in from of her; she looked up to the brunette.

Hello, my name is Makise Kurisu.  Who might you be?”

Mamimi threw her cigarette away and stood up. ”Nice to meet you Kurisu”, she said while extending her arm for a handshake. ”I am Mamimi Samejima.” 

Kurisu shook the girl's hand in response.  

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Samejima-san."

After shaking, the researcher let go of the girl's hand.  Kurisu started thinking about something to say.  She tried to keep it simple.

"This city is pretty interesting, don't you think?"

Another person was there, at the city. A new person apparently, unless she hid before, trying to avoid her. That wasn’t possible, so Haruhi decided to greet the new person.

“Hello there, my name is Suzumiya Haruhi. Do you have any kind of supernatural powers or know about someone who has them?” after a while, everyone here got boring, so people randomly appearing wasn’t interesting anymore. She wanted to meet a lot of aliens, since they were something common!

Kurisu was quite taken aback by this Haruhi's question.  She did know someone with powers that could be considered supernatural, but why did this girl want to know?  Kurisu wasn't suspicious of Haruhi or anything.  The researcher was just curious as to why she would want to know in the first place.  Kurisu just assumed that this Haruhi was a most eccentric person.

"Do you mind if I ask why you wish to know first?" she asked the other brunette calmly.

Kurisu looked at the red colored man in the mask.  His appearance both confirmed that she was in a dream.  Or in another universe.  Either, this person confirmed something.  The genius turned herself towards him to greet him.

“Hello, my name is Kurisu Makise.  And who might you be?”

“Do you wish to know my name?! Very well…I shall tell you…Christina!”

Whoops, he didn’t have a labcoat… oh well who cares.

  Kurisu yelled as driven by instinct.  She was greatly reminded of a certain mad scientist.  Actually, greatly wasn't a good way to put it.  This masked man perfectly imitated Okabe.  Did he somehow know the mad scientist?  Kurisu considered the idea.  It was plausible for the two strange men to know each other.  It would also explain how he knew the poses and the rather unfortunate nickname.  The brunette slumped her shoulders over.  Even though she was in a foreign place, she was at least a bit relieved that she didn't have to deal with the antics of the mad scientist.  But now that she discovered there was someone vastly similar to Okabe, she felt a headache coming up.  

"That's just my luck."

…This isn’t Akihabara… It was what that weird man on the TV said…Umm…Hive-City…? What was he talking about with this social experiment…?

She was frightened… and seemed to be alone in this city… Where was she…? Was this one of the failure experiments…? Or was this an alternate time her childhood friend…’Okarin’ was talking about with Kurisu-chan? No…this can’t be… Nothing of this place seems familiar at all either… Was this the world that was ruled by the so-called SERN organization? Nothing seemed to piece together into that small mind of hers. All these discussions of ‘alternate timelines’ and ‘Beta timelines’ were so advanced and out of academics for someone like her. She walked and walked aimlessly through the streets of Hive-City searching for answers, hoping someone would answer her or at least spot her out of the ordinary. Usually Mayuri was the adventurous and optimistic type, but… none of her friends are here…

Wait…! Maybe if she sent a text message to them-….! She reached into her pocket and pulled out her cellphone. What…? It’s candy… Oh no, Mayuri doesn’t have her trusty cellphone anymore either…

“Oka…rin? Kurisu…chan? Wh-…where is everybody…?”

Her blue eyes seemed to loose hope in where she was… Lowering her head in the crowd of people within the city whom were walking about as if they were only a faceless add-on. Was she going to be forever alone like this? She felt helpless…as usual… unable to do anything and only sit by and idly watch or…get herself killed…

"This is just preposterous."

Makise Kurisu thought about the man's previous words.  She was apparently moved from one universe to another.  This idea was something she just couldn't take in easily.  It was impossible for something like this to happen.  Then again, Kurisu did witness a microwave send text messages to the past and has seen a time machine before.  Yet she still insisted on believing that she was in an entirely different universe.

"Since, it is mostly impossible for me to be here then the answer is simple.  This is all a dream.  It has to be." 

Kurisu nodded her head as she continued to walk through the crowd.  But she also felt that she wasn't in a dream.  It just felt way too 'real' for her to be in one.  Kurisu stopped walking and leaned against a nearby wall to think more about her current predicament.  

"Could it be that I really am in another universe?"

Series: Steins;Gate

Brief biography: Kurisu is a teen genius who was pulled into becoming one of the “lab members” under Rintarou Okabe.  Prior to meeting him, Kurisu had been studying abroad in America.  It was here where her genius was realized and she eventually became a neuroscience researcher at the ripe age of 17.  Kurisu temporarily went back to Japan to lecture about the impossibilities of time travel at Akihabara.  It is here where she met the self-proclaimed “insane mad scientist” named Rintarou Okabe.  At first, the two butted heads in terms of the impossibility of time travel with Kurisu managing to break apart all the theories of time travel.  Eventually, she was proven wrong when the mad scientist showed her his own working time machine (actually a microwave that just sends text messages to the past).  With much interest, the genius then started working with the lunatic in his “laboratory” on this time machine to develop more on it.

Quick RP sample: Kurisu Makise sighed in annoyance as she closed the door behind her.  The events of the day had left her quite weary.  Running around Akihabara for parts wasn’t anything fulfilling.  Especially were for an invention that wasn’t given much thought in its design (Being thought of this morning) and had a 100% chance of completely failing and breaking apart. Or better yet, maybe it was better off to leave it that way?  She walked down the stairs of the cheap-broken down second floor of the apartment, while rubbing her face in a stressful manner... “What’s the purpose of the Furby anyway?  Ah, whatever.  I guess I’ll find out tomorrow,” she said with a tad bit of curiosity under her tone.  Even though it was completely stupid, Kurisu still wondered how everything would come together.  The brunette continued on her way to the hotel through the streets and then eventually taking the first train; which was in the outskirt district of Akiba, a temporary hotel she was meaning to stay at while she was in Japan.  She had a long day. She just wanted to rest...
