judith appreciated the morning’s a lot more now, she was thankful that
she got to see another day. tomorrow she could be dead, she knew that.
tomorrow was another day of grief & loss -- she could lose anyone.
pouring herself a mug of coffee she wandered outside onto the front
porch. she glances around at alexandria, it’s peaceful, it always is in the
morning. she soon spots jeff -- she calls out to him from the porch.

she’s on full alert, prepared for whatever the war has to throw at her now.
she knows what’s ahead, the horde of walkers that will soon rip apart the
town she’d grown to love -- alexandria. it was her home, & now she
had to watch it be destroyed, just like every other place she had been
able to call a home. walking further ahead, she soon spots her mother,
alongside a few others that survived the disaster. judith is quick to be in
her mother’s arms, thanking some kind of god for keeping her safe.
❝ – – mum, we’re gonna lose alexandria. they turned around, the plan
didn’t work. ❞

judith had been here for a while now, pounding her fists into the boxing
gloves that ron wore on both his hands. practice made perfect, and even
though judith was pretty good, she was nowhere near perfect yet. soon
she would be a warrior queen in a war she had been forced into. another
rough strike to ron’s hand and she’s done for the day. a cheeky smile
spreads across her lips as she reaches forward to help him with his
gloves.
❝ – – tomorrow i’ll wear the gloves and you can punch the shit outta me. ❞

she spots him from the opening of the woods, he’s sitting by a lake, deep
in thought, at least she assumes he is. she doesn’t approach just yet, but
instead watches his every move. recently, he hasn’t felt like he belonged.
this safe haven with the nice little houses wasn’t for him, he’d never had
that in life. before the apocalypse, judith had had this, she’d lived in an
alright neighbourhood where things were normal. judith slowly sneaked
up behind & reached out, wrapping arms around his neck. a childish
giggle before she seats herself down next to him & stares out at the water.
❝ – – you wanna talk? ❞

she likes being on the outside sometimes. when things get tough behind
the walls of alexandria she likes to escape. she’s grateful for the walls, for
the life she has been gifted with. she wants to make it work here, she’s just
not too sure how. she sits by a small river that runs through most of the
surrounding forest -- here it’s peaceful, here she has no problems. a snap
of a twig is what causes her to flinch & turn swiftly.
❝ -- -- who’s there? ❞

she’s cautious, gun aimed at the ready. she’s never seen this woman
before. which makes her a stranger, & judith has always been weary of
strangers. she approaches her slowly, the two of them finally making eye
contact. she’s not afraid, not anymore.
❝ – – who are you? ❞

he’s good at this, she realises from afar. he’s good at surviving & he seems
to know what he’s doing. she watches as he kills walkers that are scattered
around him. he seems quick, intelligent when it comes to putting an end to
them. she’s fascinated by him, fascinated by how he survives. it isn’t until a
walker reaches out from behind her & causes her to fall out from where she
was hiding & instead, out into the open.

she always feels rebellious going outside of alexandria’s gates, but she
knows someone has to. order needs to be kept & she can’t lose what she
has learnt whilst being out there, she needs to remain a fighter. she looks
towards rosita who is just as determined as her to keep fighting. they both
carry guns to keep safe, to take out any walkers nearby.
❝ how’s tara doing? did they say she was going to get any better? ❞
