I must not mock Gen Alpha. Mocking Gen Alpha is the mind killer. Mocking Gen Alpha is the little-death that brings total generational solidarity obliteration. I will engage with Gen Alpha lovingly. I will permit them to be cringe. And when they grow up I will turn my eye to their accomplishments. Where mocking has gone there will be nothing. Only generational solidarity remains

i dont think women should take their husbands name but i DO think married people should be legally required to have the same last name. otherwise people may have secret alliances theyre concealing from you.

it's so funny how graffiti is like a non issue that effortlessly reveals peoples' reactionary tendencies.

There is a strange power to hearing a "no" I think, especially if you're a people-pleaser. I can't trust people who always say yes to everything, because they're likely lying through their teeth. But if I ask my friend to hang out one time and they say, "no I can't right now, I'm too busy," like they are perfectly entitled to, then I know that the next time they say yes that they mean it, that they like me and want to hang out with me and carved out time in their schedule to do it. I know that we're both going to have a good time instead of them hurting themselves to appease me, and it calms down the anxiety beast a little bit.
Sure, it's a little disappointing in the moment, and constantly getting told no might be a bad sign, but for those who struggle with setting limits, consider that your no's might make your yes's mean more.

imagine two mated wyrms twisting around each other, possessing an uncountable number of limbs, each claw of good or evil interlocked with its opposite, the coil twists further around itself into a skein of flesh. how i would describe DNA to a wizard
