30 Most Remote Places To Visit In The United States
If you’re planning to explore some of the most remote places in the US and like getting off the USA beaten path (or maybe just looking for an unpopular honeymoon destination), you’re at the right place! In this post, we’ll share some of the most isolated places in the US where one can immerse in nature and its spectacular beauty while being miles away from what we like to refer to as civilization…
Owl’s Head, Vermont
Tumblr media
Even before becoming its own state, Vermont has always been considered as backcountry and a great getaway destination for people from Massachusetts and things haven’t changed much through the year. Vermont is still one of the least visited states in the US despite the abundance of lush forests, scenic trekking routes, and incredible landscapes.
Perhaps one of the most picturesque areas in Vermont is Owl’s Head Mountain and its summit, where you can get incredible views of Lake Memphremagog and Vermont.
Sounds interesting? Then you may want to check out our full article here: Most Isolated Places In The US

(via How to stay healthy while traveling and avoid getting sick) When you’ve spent possibly the best part of a year planning your traveling adventures the last thing you want is to spend the entire time holed up in your hotel room, battling a terrible sickness bug and wishing you’d never left home. It sounds dramatic, but a huge number of backpackers and holidaymakers have their dream adventures canceled or cut short due to falling ill or experiencing an accident whilst they’re abroad. Getting sick is a part of everyday life and long-term travel and constantly experiencing new environments make you even more vulnerable to getting sick. The key to minimize the chances of this happening is to prevent it. Prevention is better than any cure and in this article, we’ll share some useful tips on how to stay healthy while traveling.

(via Mount Everest by helicopter | Everything you need to know) If you want to enjoy the spectacular views of the tallest mountain in the world, without actually climbing Everest, taking a helicopter tour to Mount Everest should certainly be on your list. A lot of people don’t even think about this option because they think it’s too expensive but with the increased number of tour operators nowadays, there are a lot of affordable options. Flying over this massive mountain that draws thousands of explorers every year is a feeling that words do little justice to. The vastness of this endless stretch of snowy mountains lifted high above the level of human habitation among the wildest expanses of nature will remind you what a tiny place you occupy in the world.

(via Jack Kerouac Alley San Francisco | A Travelers Guide) Formerly known as Adler Alley or Adler Place, Jack Kerouac Alley is a one-way alleyway and one of our favorite hidden gems in San Francisco. This small, hidden alley is living proof of the multiculturalism of San Francisco and a place where “the East” and “the West” meet, both figuratively and literally. This historic alley is the spot where Chinatown fuses into Little Italy. The street wears the name of Jack Kerouac; a beat generation writer who was a frequent visitor of the Vesuvio and the bookstore adjacent to the alley. If you’re looking for a great place to experience San Francisco’s legendary bohemian spirit, this is the place for you.
