Hear me out on a ballas headcannon:
He has to wear glasses when hes reading books or doing paperwork. He wears those full circle glasses tbh
I think as the Orokin were really into all the genetic modifying and engineering stuff he would simply do an eye surgery or go get some permanent lenses if he notices something’s wrong with his eyesight
