You're a group of nice scientists who want generally to do the right thing. Over 20 days most of you grow to think of the spy drone amazon sent you as a useless appliance that exists to record you fucking and shoot things (what's it even going to shoot, some cute alien deer for straying too close to the hab? Pin-Lee, for leaving dirty mugs in the sink? please.)

Then in one single day it proves that, yes, you did need it to shoot stuff, and also it's literally a full person you've never even tried talking to, and also that you're about 20 days too late to start treating it with respect and also that, even if you start doing that right now, it doesn't even want to hang with you.

All throughout childhood, while my peers were socializing and making friends, I studied the blade read so many books that I am now almost legally blind, which left me with vast and deeply instinctual understanding of English grammar - and next to no ability to explain how it actually works. Friends will often ask me to proofread their writing and then get very mad when I say things like, "You need to completely reverse this sentence and cut this clause entirely; no, I'm sorry, i don't know why, I just know that the way it is now ITCHES 😭"

Now, what I want to see is a fantasy story where this plays out with MAGICAL grammar. Someone from a backwater town deeply steeped in folk magic arrives at Wizard Uni where all their fellow students are like "What do you mean, we should add another '𝞯∘⋇𝞿' to the incancation because it 'sounds better'? What do you mean, 'it could just be a regional thing'?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'THIS SPELL JUST FEELS LIKE IT NEEDS A LIVE RAT'????"

I become exhausted when post-consumer/reuse ideas become trendy because I'll see someone on the community page asking where they can get 20 1-gallon milk jugs for their indoor gardening projects and the answer is obviously the waste bin, after drinking 20 gallons of milk. But they dont mean that, they mean where can they buy them new and already clean. But the point of using gallon jugs is to make clever use of things you already have, not to buy more.

Like when pallet gardening was a thing but people wanted brand new clean looking pallets instead of going to the hardware store loading dock and asking if they could take broken and used ones.

Like yes we get that ot looks cute and it's a solution to a problem but the point of it was to use things that would have been otherwise tossed.

Another AO3 app that's pretending to be official when it's not (or at least isn't making it clear its unofficial.) They're using AO3's name and logo, and embedding ads.

There is no official AO3 app

Someone else is gathering your data, potentially your log in information etc and making use of it how they please. (They say they're not but their privacy policy says otherwise)

They are making money from the ads without the fic writer's consent.

They've also rated it Pegi 3 (which is ludicrous)

Please, even if you care about nothing else, for the safety of your data, please don't use this app. Certainly don't give it your AO3 log in details.

I've told AO3 that it's infringing on its copyright. I will be requesting they remove access of my work as I do not consent to my creative content being used to generate ad revenue for them.

I will be reporting it as incorrectly rated.
