Thirlmere Reservoir winter landscape photography. We were on the hunt for snow, and we found loads of it. So while my daughter was making snowmen, I decided to photograph this superb wintery landscape.

We had a fantastic day out looking for snow in the Lake District this winter and found some. Castlerigg stone circle near Keswick is also one of my favourite spots to photograph. It was getting rather late by this time, but the lighting was perfect. My daughter was happily playing in the snow while I took this photograph. As a landscape photographer, you just can't beat the view of the stone circle with the majestic view of Helvellyn in the distance, with its snow-coated summit. Just perfect.

Fleetwith Pike From Buttermere in the Lake District. A rather cold day for landscape photography, but it was worth it. As we travelled along Buutermere we took a short walk from where we parked the car and found this stunning view point.

Crummock Water and Mellbreak winter landscape photography. An excellent day for landscape photography. The weather could have been better, though; a bit hit or miss, but one can only try. This particular shot intrigued me, with this little island just in front., with the screes of Mellbreak sitting behind. I found it a fascinating photograph to take.
