Hello, everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I haven’t had an Elriel commission since Elriel month, so here is an absolutely stunning and breathtaking piece by the fantastic anxara.art!! She did a wonderful job of capturing the whimsical fairytale vibe I wanted to depict between these 2, as well as a sweet dash from Swan Lake, specifically the Barbie version, as I grew up with the movie. Let’s all give her some love for bringing my vision to life in a way I never could’ve imagined! I was also inspired by the town Ballonlea from the games Pokemon Sword and Shield. I adored the glowing mushrooms throughout and couldn’t help but think of these 2 lovelies and a cute secret date between them. I hope y’all enjoy as much as I do!

“Azriel arrived first, no shadows to be seen, my sister a pale, golden mass in his arms. He, too, wore his Illyrian armor, Elain’s golden-brown hair snagging in some of the black scales across his chest and shoulders.

He set her down gently on the foyer carpet, having carried her in through the front door.

Elain peered up at his patient, solemn face.

Azriel smiled faintly. “Would you like me to show you the garden?”

She seemed so small before him, so fragile compared to the scales of his fighting leathers, the breadth of his shoulders. The wings peeking over them.

Azriel, graceful as any courtier, offered her an arm. I couldn’t tell if she was looking at his blue Siphon or at his scarred skin beneath as she breathed, “Beautiful.”
