i'm such a big fan of laios using being well fed as proof that he's serious. like there's so many techbros & etc who will use not eating breakfast as proof that they're productive & just in general, the idea of being "too busy to eat" is getting more common (which is exactly what toshiro is doing here!) but laios is like. no. i'm so serious about this i'm thinking about what comes next. i'm so serious about this i'm making sure my body can do everything it can when i need it.
the fact that everyone in the party took care of themselves & carefully planned out their route & when they'd take breaks is what made them so successful. they always made sure to understand their limits
So, there's a lot of USians around who are very clearly fucking fed up with their political choices this election cycle, and planning to sit it out.
And I get it! What's the point of voting if there's no one to vote for?
The thing is, I'm Australian. In Australia, voting is compulsory. We don't get to sit out our elections, and I'll be real honest with you - we don't exactly get better choices than you lot. So how do you vote if there's no one to vote for? You find someone to vote against. And there's always someone to vote against.
Now, we have the pleasure of preferential voting in Australia - We get to rank every candidate from 1 to X, and I'll tell you, there's something so cathartic about putting the biggest bastard of the lot at the very bottom of your preferences. I understand that USians don't get that option - you get to mark one person, and that's it.
That means that you get one shot, so aim it at the biggest bastard of the lot. The candidate you most utterly detest. Put your vote in the worst possible place for them. Don't even think about who that vote's going towards, that's not the point. Remember, every vote is a vote against someone. Make sure you fuck up that someone's election day!
Derry Girls really said that life is not a linier series of events and the worst parts of your life can and will co-exist with the best parts and there is no telling if and when those will be. So you just have to try and make the best of every situation as it comes to you.
I love that Laios and Marcille are both willing to immediately go off the legal/moral deep end for Falin, no questions asked. Laios doesn't even question Marcille's devotion when he asks her to use black magic, he knows she loves Falin too.
And the best part? That almost sinister level of devotion is returned in both of their directions. (Also, this is just a great Falin image)
"What if I took your hand in mine and told you I'd hurt others to guarantee your safety? And we were both girls?"
If you haven't already heard of it, I implore you to check out Epic The Musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans. From the musical artistry, storytelling, vocal performances, and acting, Jorge Rivera-Herrans has it all. It is truly one of the best pieces of art that I have ever experienced. The emotions that it invokes are truly something that needs to be experienced. The Underworld Saga just dropped today, so check it out!
Falin's chimera design is so good I was mesmerized by her every time she showed up. Then I reached the part where Laios explain how absurd she is because she has a way too small mouth to feed such a huge body and I felt so guilty... I'm sorry miss Falin I was so engrossed by your glorious form that I didn't notice you were ill bred just like a little pug... Please forgive me..

I didn't find anything like this in my search for it, so I put together all of the characters that are in the Adventurer's Bible into a height reference chart.
