im gonna be serious for a second misha has a history of making jokes where the punchline is basically “haha this implies i like men which is a funny thing to me” like just talking recently in 2021 at momento con he was talking about recording voice work in richard speights closet and he then made the comment of “and richards been trying to get me to come out of the closet for a long time” like the fact that hes a straight man doing jokes like this is shitty like what the hell is so funny about implying you like men

i’m sorry but using a fangasm tweet as a source for anything is just laughable — most people know they’re paraphrased and sometimes out of context. i would suggest watching the entire answer from misha during his panel, it’s actually very insightful.
it’s also very telling that you pick and choose points that fit the narrative you’re trying to tell. i could completely understand calling misha out for being too neutral in this situation, for being idealistic and perhaps naive to the reality of it all in his quest for world peace, and not using the strongest language when he should (calling it a genocide). but if you’ve read what he wrote he does acknowledge the unjust horror palestinians are going through and has signed the artists4ceasefire petition + made a video for it.
I’m not picking and choosing anything, I practically posted everything he said on the topic. His video didn’t say anything of note. Real big statement “guys stop fighting 🥺” and “think of the children” is. He called it an attempted genocide and then deleted the tweets saying so, as well as the tweets shaming people for calling it a genocide. He is exclusively repeating opinions he’s heard to feel the most correct
i also didn’t use fangasm as a source. I sourced his own tweets. You’re delusional

now here’s the thing
it’s petty and ridiculous that I even know this, but here’s something else about Misha and his fans who create a fanfiction version of him to love and uphold. Here was Alma, last month:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s Misha with who is almost certainly Alma, so we know they are significant friends
Tumblr media
Here Is that person’s Glamour article where she talks to her parents, and turns out she’s Jewish.
Besides Darius (no relation), he had more Jewish friends who were steadfast in their support of Palestine. She was calling it GENOCIDE a week into it! Imagine how frustratingly dismal this is to deal with in a first generation Jewish American family, what she must have to hear from the people she loves, only to have to deal with people with no horse in this race both-sides’ing it. It’s once again clear that he isn’t Alma, and this time I’m liking her a whole lot better and I’d hate my work to be attributed to him even more.

I’m blocked but whatever. The U24 article was the first ever mention of him having any Jewish heritage, and his family tree is publicly accessible. I believe what happened was, since this was a small phenomenon among Americans, he got his 23andMe back and it told him he had a negligible percentage of Ashkenazi Jewish in his results. It wouldn’t be far fetched because if he is Russian-Ukrainian, his heritage is already placed in the geographical location of some of the Ashkenazi Jewish clusters. Ashkenazi Jewish is a genotype that has been repeatedly updated throughout the years and some people misunderstand how concrete and certain these results are. Krushnic doesn’t exactly sound Jewish. Regardless, traditionally you “inherit” Jewish heritage from your maternal side alone, and the state of Israel doesn’t recognize you as a Jew and grant Law of Return unless your grandparents were Jewish and you have a paper trail, or you convert and marry an ethno-religious Jew. I’m almost completely certain he isn’t Jewish, but even if he was, His family immigrated to Canada before the war so thankfully He is most likely not a direct descendant of either a holocaust survivor or a Ukrainian SS soldier. I don’t trust U24’s article because I find it suspect that it’s also the first time we see him saying he has Ukrainian heritage, because he didn’t know for so long what he was, his family tree tells us Russian, and he didn’t really ever distinguish between the two countries before- even in the U24 article it concedes to the fact that he studied Soviet-Era Ukrainian politics, as he’s only told us before about studying Russia and his mother being a proud professor of Russian history and culture. From the article, I get the impression that they were trying to get Misha to sell himself as a deserving diplomat, and he told them his entire heritage for them to cherry-pick and make him (and Americans by extension) resemble Zelensky, resemble a marketable image of the people of Ukraine.

a month ago he mentioned in at least two of his tweet replies that he didn’t really know a lot about the israel-Palestine conflict, so him writing this whole history lesson for us is ridiculous and condescending. A genocide has taken place in the Middle East ever since 9/11 killed 3 thousand and then 4 million. He has the gall to mention Syria as if showing solidarity after co-signing OBAMA’S sentiments, when Obama (and Vice President Joe Biden) bombed the place for 8 years. He only supports Biden because he wanted Hilary, and she’s a warmongering genocidal maniac too.
Israel is not defending its people. It is defending its political power, and expanding its territory. 20 years of this same Crisis with a ceasefire agreement every couple of years inbetween, with a country that has no military? I 100% believe Netanyahu let October 7th happen. He maytred his own people for leverage, fed to the meat grinder, and he wants to finally execute the rest of the Palestinians because if they manage to escape they will be evidence of his crimes. He is using the intergenerational trauma of his own people to facilitate this “us or them” mentality, and trying his damnedest to alleviate their guilt, with this absolutely insane “crisis actor” conspiracy theory. He got fucking Biden denying the number of Palestinian casualties and lying about seeing the 40 decapitated babies which the White House had to admit wasn’t true.
I read what Misha Collins wrote on Substack (I don't use Twitter so can't see what he wrote on there) and thought it sounded pretty good. He obviously knows a bit about the situation and is not "falling for western propaganda" (or middle eastern propaganda either). He sounded like he was on the side of the people suffering. Pro-ceasefire, pro-peace, pro-no-more-innocent-civilians-getting-hurt-or-killed. Good. I understand that some people are disappointed that he isn't fully anti-Israel and pro-Palestine, but I think that's good too. Nuance is good. Compassion is good. After 9/11 (and certainly during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq) some people called for the death of America (calling what they were doing with their "war on terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan colonialism and genocide), others said "the west" should nuke the entire middle east. Both were wrong, obviously. I hear echoes of that now. George Bush saying "you're either with us or you're against us" and shit like that. As if it was just that simple. It is never that simple. Good for Misha Collins for not giving in to oversimplification of a complex issue.
See his initial post was fair in my opinion and I mostly agree with his stance because at the end of the day the people on both sides screaming "all palestinians should leave!" And "all israelis should leave!" Are failing to see that both sets of peoples have some right to the land and ultimately the only solution is to agree to share it. So if your comments are just based on his initial post then I agree with you and agree that his post was fair.
But then he went on to deny that Israel was committing genocide. I dont know how much more clear it needs to be before the west and western media wakes up to the fact that this is a blatant and obvious genocide. Anyone denying that its a genocide is short sighted, falling for Israeli propaganda (and US propaganda) and its really concerning seeing all these supposedly powerful people fall over themselves trying to explain away a genocide that everyone can see happening. Misha should know better than to make excuses to deny a fucking genocide. It makes me sick when I see people pretend it isn't a genocide. Whatever your opinions are on the conflict, I am utterly astonished at anyone denying what to me is so blatantly obvious.
I have read enough and seen enough to know what I'm bloody seeing. I wont be told it isnt what it is.
Also, quite frankly, on the replies to my post, Michael and Misha are both within their rights to block anyone sending them death threats and saying horrible things about them. I have no issue with people utilising block functions to avoid harassment and do it myself frequently. So Michael Sheen blocking assholes in his replies is not worthy of cancellation in my opinion. No ones opinions warrant death threats and wishes of death upon them. People can have opinions that you strongly disagree with and its still no excuse to wish death upon them.
But Misha needs to be told politely that he is wrong. Denying a genocide is not a good look. Its extremely disappointing to see as a fan of his.

to the anon lurking my blog, I want to make it clear that it’s good that he’s signed it now obviously but it’s also obviously become a good pr move that many other celebrities have jumped onto after receiving warranted criticism
To me that still speaks volumes, because misha’d also received very warranted criticism after those tweets. Alyssa Milano collected a ton of signatures before creating the website so that there was already a list of names upon its launch, that included a bunch of stars that are a lot more famous and unreachable than Misha, as well as Darius who has direct contact with Misha. For some reason, Misha didnt immediately co-sign, but he hopped on the bandwagon afterwards. In my opinion this just proves to me that putting these celebrities under heavy scrutiny and holding them accountable for their own missteps WORKS. too many of y’all only keep up with world news through the actions of your faves.

“He just didn’t want to sign it” versus reality: https://www.artists4ceasefire.org
at this point so has Bradley Cooper, David Oyelowo, Jordan Peele, Ben Affleck, Kirstin Dunst, Rosie O'Donnell after all signing the Thank You letter to Biden lol
Wonder why it took him so long too

You seem very inclined to default to the negative read of anything (and everything) Misha does based on your own presumptions and opinions. Tagging your posts "anti Misha"/"anti Misha Collins" would be more appropriate Tumblr etiquette.
you can stand to see a little criticism of your favorite actor given the fact he willingly engaged every topic I post about, he posted propaganda and you should be exposed to people who have contention with that. Some topics trump tumblr etiquette

"Misha was 100% aware of it but decided against signing." you actually can't know that for sure, though. It's just a presumption which can never be 100% since there is no undeniable fact to back it up. Unless he himself directly says so, which he hasn't.
Actions speak louder than words and he hasn’t used his platform to promote artists4ceasefire.org. He reposted OBAMA’S tweet with a false narrative,
Tumblr media
contributed to propaganda,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
liked a tweet praising Biden,
Tumblr media
And then went radio silent. He follows alyssa and he’s seeing her repeated promotion of her petition begging Biden for ceasefire, and he ignores it.
Tumblr media
He won’t even spare a retweet. Darius is Misha’s life long best friend, he practically lived with him in 2020, the dude was definitely not out of the loop. He just didn’t want to sign it. And now he can’t even spare a single retweet of support.

The fact that Alyssa Milano and DARIUS MARDER signed the ceasefire petition so Misha was 100% aware of it but decided against signing. I do think it probably has a lot to do with his position as ambassador for Ukraine though
I just gotta say that I'm really disappointed in Misha right now. And I know many other fans won't like this but I don't care. I've been Misha's fan for a long time. I look up to his work as an activist and I know he has changed lives. But his lame-ass statement about what is happening in Gaza is so frustrating. Because I know that he could do a lot for Paleastinian people, even if it's just raising awareness about the genocide they've been going through for decades now. I mean, he has been doing that for the war in Ukraine for a long time. He has raised money, he has contacted people in those areas, etc. But he did nothing of that for Palestine.
There's a double moral standard for what we consider real victims, and the United States has helped Israel to become the perpetual victim. People in both Israel and America will eat up any pro Zionist propaganda that is financed by their governments. It's sick. But the world is waking up now. Only not at the same pace. So hopefully Misha, as the sensible man I know he is, will understand what is really going on on that part of the world, and how his own country has set up the perfect environment for a genocide. And maybe the next time he will talk about it and not just post a "peace for all civilians" like the Middle East version of All Lives Matter.
This is what I feel right now and I'm glad I can post it here. I feel a little better already.

Made for and Marketed to be sold to = giving zero indication on the description and promos. No hashtags, no tongue-in-cheek references to angels or supernatural or even romance, no misha promoting it or association with misha at all. Or even jensen for that matter. If that was the reason that it was created then the marketing corner really failed at their job
