Xichen WILL  kill every WWX`s husband who - not LWJ

and WWX would have a depression that everyone he likes dies awful and  painful. So.. he have no rights to love LWJ, right?

I kind of wish wwx didn’t fall in love with lwj.

First thing that came to mind was 

Second thing was CQL universe AU where WWX comes back after a year or two of traveling with another rouge cultivator and is super excited to introduce his soulmate to the man he hopes to marry or something.

where is your sword AU: LWJ was not able to save his leg. He didnt go to war ( LQ is great in strategy but he is not a warrior). WWX after BM meet only JC and he is scary for other people (without Lan Zhan there for him). His sister make him visit Gusu and WWX goes back with ready-to-fight-LWJ (no one know that WWX`s sword is LWJ`s prosthetic leg now. even LWJ)

Ohhh I love this. Lan Wangji’s leg is a thing of beauty because of course Wei Wuxian would take the time to carve intricate and beautiful designs into it because it has to be at least half as beautiful as its new owner (he may or may not struggle to hold back tears). And of course those pretty designs may be hiding useful sigils that Lan Wangji can use later.

I-I really REALLY like the Golden Lotus Feet!AU? >_< / WWX is still a genius so despite not being able to follow JC on night hunts he still makes a name for himself with his inventions. Because WWX is so restricted and dependent, JC doesn’t feel jealous, just exasperatedly protective. After their first encounter suddenly LWJ is around A LOT. He watches WWX’s exuberant flitting on his tiny feet and wishes he could take JC’s place as the one to break WWX’s inevitable fall. (1/3)

fall. LXC notices his brother’s new fixation and soon suggests a marriage alliance with Yunmengjiang. WWX seems out of place in Gusu at first but most (especially the younger disciples) find that they like Hanguang-Jun’s cheerful and clever husband. They’re happy to help him around and entertain him when he’s bored, although ofc LWJ likes to do that himself as much as possible.

LWJ also insists that he’d be the only to clean and rebandage WWX’s feet after they marry. WWX still finds them grotesque but LWJ thinks those tiny feet as strangely beautiful even when bare. He also feels only pleasure and satisfaction at taking care of his defenseless husband. TLDR LWJ is a disability devotee (yeah I had to look up that term).

I'm also unexpectedly fond of this AU, it got all soft when it could have been all angst. But yes I imagine WWX's injuries really help their relationship. WWX refusing to say how he got injured, but the healer spills it. The Jiang siblings eavesdropping and that's what changes JC's mind. There's a lot of pity from JC, now he's a lot more willing to give up his puppies after finding out how WWX's feet got damaged. While he can't imagine his sweet pups ever doing something so awful, he gives them away. This makes WWX feel a little guilty but also more determined to make JC his friend out of want - not pity - he does eventually succeed.

I'd like to imagine that JC is the one to beg his father to let him take WWX along on night hunts, he has faith in his skills despite the lack of swordsmanship. Of course they're easy hunts on flat land where, on horse back & carrying a bow and arrow, WWX looks no different than any other Jiang disciple. The smiles the brothers share when they take down a prey together are blinding. And yet to WWX it's also a reminder how much of a hindrance he'd be on a true night hunt; his horse is cumbersome compared to spiritual swords, even if he hangs back and coordinates the attacks it's not the same, some things just rely on instinct. So he stays home and develops other techniques & tools. Maybe even experiments with demonic cultivation that early on because he has nothing else to do.

So after their first meeting LWJ is in Yunmeng more often, strolling the village just to catch a glimpse of WWX. WWX comes out often to town just to flitter about; getting food here, play jokes with the local children, haggle over prices as he shops. Though he usually comes with his siblings, he's not afraid of going alone since it's on land. He just has to take more breaks, this is how they meet again. WWX means to lean against a building but gets bumped and nearly falls, LWJ catches him again.

WWX smiles, a little surprised, "Lan er-gongzi, you saved me again. Let me buy you a meal as thanks." Its an offer he doesn't expect to be accepted but to his surprise, LWJ nods, offering his arm to WWX. WWX takes it, leading him to his favorite restaurant and immediately ordering his favorites. "What brings you to Lotus Pier? A night hunts? I thought Uncle Jiang dealt with the ones in the area."

WWX just rambles for a while, completely over taking the conversation but LWJ is happy. Even if in the end he has to pay for their meals. He asks to meet again and it's the start of something new, every time they meet offers new tools for LWJ to try (ones he's not allowed to test out), LWJ gives him precise feedback and other gifts. Wow, WWX's heart goes *doki doki* and in denial about his feelings. Who would like someone like him? Outspoken and crippled, relying on others, a servant's son. But it's nice that LWJ can see past all that.

The constant visits and letters cause LXC to offer for WWX's hand in his brother's stead, cue WWX's realization - "Lan Zhan.. Lan Zhan loves me?" The wedding is a small affair, despite JFM trying to make it into something bigger bc he always wants to indulge WWX. WWX wear wedding clothes his Shijie embroidered for him & the lotus embroidered shoes LWJ picked out for him. The consummation wasn't the most emotionally charged part of the wedding night but instead when WWX shared how his feet became like this and shows LWJ how to take care of them. That level of trust.

In his new home WWX is out of place but not for long. LWJ has him helping in classes and the juniors love him bc he explains things so easily & without the formalities. He helps them with their sword training, often using his cane to knock them into the right position or demonstrate a move. Oh what if it's the juniors who were like, "Senior Wei needs transportation for when Hanguang-Jun isn't around." and they buy him Lil Apple. WWX loves Lil Apple. LWJ pouts a bit, though WWX reminds LWJ exactly who supports him & pampers him the most with herbal foot baths, massages, and new little shoes for WWX to show off. WWX still doesn't like his feet but he loves the care LWJ puts in everything, even his weird looking feet. And before you ask, yes his feet have featured in their sexcapades.

1 no war abo au where teenager omega wwx accidentally (it actually was an accident, the one instance where he wasnt trying to be a little shit) pulled lwj's headband off so now they have to get married even when lxc and jyl isnt married yet. yzy was more than happy to be rid of wwx and jfm couldnt do much with pressure from both his sect and gusu lan.

2 wwx was very apologetic and tries his best to at least be friends with lwj but lwj doesnt know how to deal with him. he keeps avoiding wwx even if he still makes wwx perform his marital duty. the lans are harsh and biased on wwx. making up his rule violations just to have him punished. no one would defend him bc even his husband is cold towards him. then lxc brings in jgy (jgs begrudgingly took my in just bc an omega is an asset and not bc he valued his skills) to gusu lan to marry him.

3 jgy is subtle and obedient, and despite his background the gusu lan elders much prefer him to wwx. xiyao's marriage affair was much larger and not just bc lxc was the sect heir but bc jgy was a better bride than wwx could ever be. wwx couldnt even enjoy the one time good food was served in cr, with his new pregnancy any food tasted like paper. maybe after the child is born lan zhan would look at him and protect him.

4 he didnt. he acted aloof as usual. even when their child lan yuan, the legal heir of gusu lan (by gusu lan law the heir is the oldest of one's generation in the main family), didnt even get a proper one month celebration, lwj didnt bother to fight for them. in reality lwj is torn bc he felt guilty towards wwx but the elders do not like his husband and by extension his child and they criticize him for not being proper enough. so he did what his father did best, standing by doing nothing.

5 it was truly unfair, lxc is free to be intimate with jgy in public but lwj gets scolded for visiting wwx's cottage more than 3 times a week. after 2 years, jgy is still not pregnant and cant resist jgs pushing him to get rid of lan yuan. wwx's omega instinct is in overdrive. it wasnt entirely unreasonable. he may be paranoid, but a venomous spider wont just magically appear in lan yuan's crib. wwx doesnt ask lwj to protect their son, he saw firsthand how useless his husband is in his inaction.

6 it came crashing down when ayuan got sick and he found the note in jgy's handwriting for ayuan's nanny, along with the remains of a poison. he took it up to the elders, not having any of their shit anymore. but they blame him instead, accusing him of being too greedy for power that he would try to get rid of his rival even when his own son was already heir. that he forgot his station, a mere son of a servant. he looked at lwj, who couldnt meet his eyes and didnt say a word to defend him.

7 that was the final straw. clearly them mother and son mean nothing to the entirety of gusu lan, so they would just leave. he brought suibian out and cut a few inches off his hair. you only cut your hair in mourning of spouse or parents. he continued by cutting off the tip of lan yuan's ponytail. from now on wei wuxian has no husband and ayuan has no father. using an invisibility spell he ran away from the wrath he just invoked.

8 he flew to lotus pier and hid under jiang cheng's protection. mdm yu would kick wwx out if she saw him and uncle jiang is as passive as his husband. the healers all report to mdm yu, so jc managed to get him some medicine to treat ayuan, but it didnt cure him, only lessened his symptoms. with jyl's marriage closing in most people are too busy to notice him. jzx is going to pick jyl up from lp instead of having her travel all the way to lanling alone.

9 wwx is glad at least jzx got his head out of his ass and returns his shijie's feelings. the lans come for the wedding, obviously. jc did his best to hide them, but got found out anyway. he ran away and ended up in yiling, sitting by the side of the street to get out of the rain when wen qing found him. the female alpha took him in, out of kindness since she remembered wwx to be one of the few students who were nice to wn during their study in gusu. she healed ayuan and came to like the boy too

10 it was wq who taught ayuan to read and write, wn the one who taught him to play games. jc visits them sometimes, even slipped a silver bell for him. jyl sometimes come when she visits ym. ayuan is almost 5 and gusu lan still hasnt had a new heir, so they are never truly safe from being pursued by the lans. it just so happens that wen xu travelled to yiling from nightless city to meet wq. he was greeted by a child, obviously related to the lans judging from his facial features, hugging his leg

11 wen xu is a decent person, unlike his sleazy younger brother. he appreciates competence like his father and respects wwx as a cultivator. (after all that trauma wwx's bar is very low). ayuan likes him so wwx has no qualms with being friends with wx. they become closer with wx's increasingly frequent trips to yiling.

12 wx began courting wwx. wwx never been courted, never been liked that way by anyone. wx even offered to properly adopt ayuan as his heir. wwx didnt feel it necessary, but it was nice for ayuan to have a father figure. wrh quite like both mother and son. wwx is a strong cultivator and ayuan has innate talent for cultivation. besides, if wwx marries wx and ayuan becomes wen yuan, they would never have to go back to that wretched place everyone calls sacred.

13 wwx agreed to marry wx, becoming young madam wen. but he didnt want any announcement. he just wanted to live in peace where he is. it was quite strange for the marriage of a sect heir to not be held in fanfare. the answer came on the next conference in nightless city. the alpha child sitting next to wen xu has lwj's nose. he has lwj's lips, has lwj's cheekbones, but he wears black and red and dons the surname wen.

14 jc and jyl werent surprised, but the rest of the sects were. lqr spat blood seeing wwx appear next to his son wearing wen robes. wrh didnt appreciate the ruckus and told them to keep it for later. lwj approached wwx after the conference. he admitted that the elders had been putting him on a grill since wwx left. elder brother turned out to be impotent, so the task of producing an heir falls on him. they basically want ayuan back.

15 wwx told him he didnt need to worry. he didnt have to do anything for them, since hes so good at it. just marry another omega, a proper one this time, and have a child with them, as he clearly is able to. besides, wen yuan is already formalized as an heir to qishan wen. so if they dont want a war with the wens they better just leave them mother and son alone.

16 then wen yuan came around the corner, looking for his mother. he called out to wwx, telling him that the banquet is about to start, lets go back to a-die. wwx left with him without another word to lwj. "who was that?" wen yuan asked. wwx grinned, "no one," -i just wanted an excuse for wen wwx

Golden Lotus Feet WY! Dogs bit his legs, He has frostbite on his toes too. When Jiang Fengmian find him, His feet cannot be saved. It looks disgusting without pretty shoes. It hurts. It was the way with Madame Yu to stop his education and running around. But Lan Zhan sees these tiny feet and feels the lust.

Answer: Foot binding is both a fascinating and horrifying practice (btw don't search it if you can't handle body modification/mutilation, some can get gnarly looking). Like people really liked tiny feet enough to have women live with this pain and be more or less crippled. For those who don't want to look it up, Golden Lotus feet is where the feet were broken & bound to be small ideally about 3 inches long. Some just fold the toes into the sole for a slender look while others also broke the arch of the foot. And reversing it is just as painful. The worst part of is it's not just a one time 'break and binding' they gotta keep doing it at least 2 times a week for a long time. Those poor bones 😱

Poor Wei Ying thinking he could still be a cultivator even with his damaged feet; it's just pain after all, he can handle it especially after everything he's lived through. The dogs chasing after him were enough of a nightmare but when snow fell, he knew to worry. He tried to be careful and wrap his feet if he couldn't find shoes. A few times the nice aunties from the flower district would help him if his hands or feet turned began changing color. Sometimes they weren't in time, his skin turns dark and painful, he gets sick & the healer would have to cut off the bad pieces.

But he endured.

He doesn't like looking at his feet now, after Uncle Jiang found him...after Madam Yu had servants finished the job when Uncle Jiang was gone for a long while, they didn't try to reverse it. The healer claiming the damage was already done long before, the pain would be the same either way. His feet are so ugly, bound up like that, not even the decorative little shoes JYL gives him can change his mind. He grows yet he can barely go far without Jiang Cheng, Shijie or some manservant helping him, boredom ties with dog for the number one enemy spot in his mind! He's more or less forbidden from walking along the docks because he's too unsteady. He's not a proper disciple, still he trains his body but his feet will always be a hindrance. What kind of cultivator could he be?

He meets Lan Wangji during the discussion conference, remember how JYL almost fell while throwing flowers, it was that moment. WWX was at her side, supported by her when she lost balance so did he. He actually fell. The screams, the cries of his name, WWX thought he would die with his Shijie's terrified face being the last thing he saw.

Who is it that saves him? LWJ of course! And being who he is WWX says "You really know how to sweep someone off their feet, Lan Er Gongzi."

That comment almost distracts LWJ from examining WWX for injury, the word 'impudent' almost leaving his mouth, when he notices WWX's tiny little feet and thinks 'oh, how lovely' He does the gentlemanly thing and brings WWX back to his sister but the image of those small feet stick with him, the memory of the weight & heat of WWX in his arms lingers. LWJ wishes he had privacy.

(⅓) The Lan needed the Jiang’s help to overthrow the Wen Empire and take the crown, which they got through WangXian’s engagement. LWJ swore to be monogamous and WWX put in all his efforts to get LWJ the emperor’s throne. But as soon as the crowning ceremony concluded, the Lan Elders immediately brought in dozens of concubines, which LWJ couldn’t reject in the empire’s shaky post-war recovery.

(⅔) Not even officially adopted, WWX never had enough backing to become the empress so he became one consort among many, and while he had the emperor’s favor he had few resources or power. When the high-born daughters requested LWJ’s time, he had to give them at least some to not offend their families, and the sheer number he couldn’t refuse left him no time with WWX. But even still, the concubines saw WWX as a threat and harassed him endlessly.

(3/3) It broke LWJ a little more each time he happened to see the state WWX was reduced to, but the elders refused to do anything about it. One day WWX got poisoned and LWJ finally snapped. He summoned every member of court and every concubine to the throne room for the incident and when the officials all agreed that there’s not enough evidence to deduce who did it, LWJ just coldly nodded, “Then everyone in that room will be executed and their family’s assets seized for treason.”

captain of the ship Lan An AU! Sunshot end. Gusu try to fix all things what was burnt.Lans begin to think about political activity and contractual marriage for Twin Jades. nobody ask LWJ about what he want, they tell him only about benefit. he is angry but quiet.

Someone break the artifact and Lan An Ghost back again. The ghost Leader is at a family dinner. She aks LWJ passingly about his hubby.

While studying at Gusu, WWX and a few others get hit by a curse that makes them essentially experience the pain of however they will die in the future. Most of the others will either die of old age, so they don’t feel too much, or from a single, quick injury, so they feel a short amount of pain before it’s over. WWX on the other hand - the guy who will eventually be ripped apart by corpses - collapses to the ground, screaming in agony, as JC, LWJ and others watch on in horror

Everyone has trouble sleeping that night. They cant forget seeing one of the brightest of their generation screaming himself hoarse in unimaginable pain until it became too much and he fell unconscious. They can’t forget the specifics of the curse that caused so much agony and what exactly it meant.

(1/4) So JYL survives the Nightless City but is gravely injured, and by the time she does manage to recover from her injuries enough to wake up, the Siege has already happened and WWX is dead. She is already on the end of her rope, the only thing that kept her going after JZX's death was the knowledge that there is no way her little brother could have intentionally killed her husband

(2/4) and then she just barely managed to save him from death, was willing to sacrifice her own life to do that - and now JC tells her that it was all in vain, and literally moments after her sacrifice he started making plans to lead a siege to the burial mounds. That WWX is dead because of a siege that JC planned and lead

(¾) and JYL is just so, so devastated that all of the pain and heartbreak she has had to deal with in such a short amount of time catches up to her, and she just absolutely snaps. It’s even worse because this isn’t like WWX killing JZX, she KNEW he would never have done that intentionally, but JC is telling her that he intentionally wanted to kill their brother

(4/4/) and in that moment JYL basically feels how JC did when he held JYL’s body in his arms - just mind consuming rage and grief. Suddenly she has someone to direct it at, and she grabs the nearest weapon she can find, and tries to kill him. He survives, because obvious JC is going to be easy to kill, especially not by someone as weak and injured as JYL, but for the rest of his life, JC has to deal with the knowledge that, at least in that moment, his sister loathed him enough to want him dead.

Jiang Cheng wasn’t expecting the knife that came flying at his throat. His many years of training is all that stops the blade from making contact, but they did nothing for the mostly empty plate that smashes into his cheek before it falls and shatters on the floor by his sisters bed. He can only stumble back before a cup full of hot tea is thrown at him. He brings his arms up to shield his face until things stop being thrown at him and when he lowers his arms he looks at his sister, hurt and shocked. 

Jiang Yanli was pale and breathing hard, like she was trying to hold back sobs. The tears in her eyes did nothing to take away from how furious she looked, more angry then he can ever recall seeing her.

“Get out!” Jiang Yanli shouted. “You murdered my brother! Get out!”

“A-Jie…” Jiang Cheng whispered. “I- I wasn’t thinking, I was so angry I didn’t-”

“You were thinking!” she snapped, cutting him off easily. “You planned a siege! You thought about it for weeks! Months! You were not blinded by anger- you were carefully planning how best to slaughter my little brother!”

Jiang Cheng has always known he came second to Wei Wuxian in everything, people included. His father loved Wei Wuxian more, his mother thought he was better, their friends preferred to spend time with him over Jiang Cheng, the people of Lotus Pier seemed happier to see him then they did Jiang Cheng.

But the one and only person who he had always wholeheartedly believed loved them equally was Jiang Yanli.

He was wrong.

it is about chaosandblood`s modern DivorceAU : What if it is not Lan Zhan who came to WWX with flowers and apologies? What if LWJ meet Mo Xuanyu and they love each other. Mo Xuanyu is little pretty person with a mind trauma and he so submissive for LWJ and LWJ love it, but the Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen have a terrible feeling about it. WWX can say "No!" everyone when MX cant. LXC dont want to see his father`s cruelty in LWJ`s eyes

Lan Xichen shows up on his doorstep with flowers. He claims that he wants to apologize but hardly a minute of pressing makes him crack. Lan Wangji is seeing someone and plans to marry him soon.

“You never had any issues refusing my brother when he became too demanding. Some of your biggest fights were because of that. He wanted you to be someone who you weren’t and when you proved too stubborn he divorced you.”

“Thank you for this history lesson,” Wei Wuxian quipped. His former brother-in-law winced.

“I fear he’s found someone less strong willed then you. Mo Xuanyu is young and his family mistreated him. He sees Wangji as his savior. Worst of all he… resembles you in appearance. I once …” Wei Wuxian watched the other man struggle to find the right words for a moment before giving up and stating it bluntly. “I overheard Wangji call him by your name. It seemed like a common slip…”

Lan Xichen suddenly dipped into a low bow. “I know that my family did you wrong. Both during and after your marriage to my brother. But I beg of you - help me get Mo Xuanyu away from my brother before the boy completely looses himself to Wangji’s deranged fantasies.”

I'm trying to write a modern DivorceAU for WangXian, but I think I need some ideas. Overall, LWJ decides the divorce because the family pressures and is bad for the company, and Wei Wuxian leaves heartbroken, devoting his energy to becoming an eminence in the field of forensic medicine, taking out a couple of extra careers. (forensic psychology? chemistry?), (1/3)

2/2 and rolling in the bed of some rich subjects who pamper him … and little by little he begins to fall in love with the power he acquires. Problems with the police for drunk driving? That judge who gave him a dirty job will get him out of business without even finances. Need some free days at the prestigious university where he teach? The director gives them to him delighted, after all he can take advantage and fuck him in his office afterwards. Nobody say NO to him.

3/3) It becomes almost intoxicating, the power he achieves with sex and smiles. His bank account is secured, his bed is never empty. The loneliness he feel can be forgotten, sometimes. And then, 13 years later, Lan Wangji knocks on his door with a bouquet of flowers and an apology.

Wangxian Arranged Marriage!AU where WWX keeps getting punished more harshly for breaking rules due to him soon joining the clan. With everything about him being rejected and stripped away and all alone with neither family nor friends, WWX reaches a breaking point. When he tries on his new Gusu Lan robes f/LXC and LWJ, WWX suddenly bursts into tears. He starts laughing that he understands why they wear mourning clothes now, because his life is over. He pretends it never happened, but they can't.

Lan Wangji’s guilt is bottomless. He may constantly insist that he and Wei Wuxian are not close and that the marriage is only for politics, but he never meant to cause harm to his new husband. Wei Wuxian is reckless and loud and shameless but he’s not a bad person. He has always tried to be friendly with Lan Wangji even when he made it difficult and he has put in an honest effort to follow the sect rules after they married.

He hadn’t thought Wei Wuxian would grow to consider their marriage to be akin to death itself. His chest hurts even thinking about the day he watched his husband break down into tears after he tried on his GusuLan robes.

Sooo, no war AU where I dont know WRH was visited by the ancient chinese version of the 3 ghosts of Christmas or the Xuanwu ate the evil Wens or something.Teenage/young men WangXian get together and want to get married. LQR/Lan Elders are against it, but they can be stubborned out by LWJ and supportive big bro LXC.

2/? The real impediment to the relationship is WWX family, Jiang Fenmiang while yes motivated in part by not wanting to lose wwx to the far away sect, genuinely thinks that its a youthful infatuation/lust that will burn out and turn their marriage bitter and leave wwx in a strict family/sect(Lans do not divorce!) that will not appreciate wwx lively personality and the restrictions will sap the spirit/happiness out of him.

3/? Madam Yu is also against maybe also out of care for wwx but in a far lesser degree but in her acid tongued ways (He will shame them/made them lose face with his behavior! The Lan Sect will not be as tolerant to wwx troublemaking ways as Jiang sect! Unruly son of a servant, bla bla ).Also for angsty backstory JFM or YZY did had a lively sister/aunt that suffered what they fear will happen to wwx and she came to a tragic end.

4/? In the beginning before Jiangs expressed the disapproval, the Lans where very loud in their objections, which really reaffirmed the Jiangs unwillingness much to Lan Quiren later regret.JC of course will vehemently agree with his parents, JYL will try to be neutral and coach it in gentler ways of maybe they should wait, have a long courtship but she did get infected by her family fears.LWJ is all hang propriety lets elope! But WWX that does not think he has cleared his debts to the Jiang sect

The returned soul will be as a stranger to that person, and there’s not even any hope that their bond can be rebuilt from scratch. If the person who sacrificed their memories and the returned soul ever meet, ever have any contact with each other, the ritual will be undone and the returned soul destroyed, never to reincarnate. The ritual is meant to be a torment, not a blessing.

3/5 JC can’t help but think of his sister. His beautiful, kind sister, who never got the chance to be a mother to her son, never got to see the man that JL is growing into. He loved JYL with his whole heart…but he’s not the only one who did. As complicated as his relationship with WWX still is, as much as a part of him is still so angry and betrayed, still BLAMES him for her death, he knows in his heart that WWX loved JYL as much as he did. He had loved her more than he ever loved JC.

4/5 Weeks pass, and he doesn’t burn the scroll. He could have his sister back. JL could have his mother. He very carefully doesn’t think about what it says about him that he never considers if HE is willing to bear the cost of the ritual…just if his brother would be. Surely, he would be. He gave JC his golden core, wouldn’t he give up his memories of their sister if it meant JL could have his mother back?

2/2 And it works. But JC, for all he’s been poring over the scroll, memorized every word, he really should have had someone more expert in these things look at it. The ink was so faded, the dialect just a little obscure. The ritual doesn’t demand the caster forget the person they’re resurrecting, necessarily. It demands the caster forget the person they love most. If that’s not the person they’re trying to raise? Oh well. The ritual doesn’t erase JYL from WWX’s memories. It erases LZ.

(1/4) WQ time-travel AU! WQ died regretting WWX’s sacrifice to help her and her family. So when she woke up in the past, before the Qiongqi path ambush but after WWX took the Wen remnants away, she knew what she had to do. WWX’s reputation has already blackened, even if she warned him about the ambush, even if they somehow manage to avert that particular disaster, it’s unlikely that the sects would ever stop targeting him.

(2/4) The only way to save WWX is to rehabilitate his image, and the best course to do that is to give the cultivation world a new enemy. So she steals the Stygian tiger seal, launch an “attack” against the sects and gave A Villain Speech painting WWX as this naive idealistic boy who she manipulated (she revealed how WWX gave up his golden core for his brother and claim she pressured him to help by guilting and holding his “debt” over his head).

(¾) To save WN and the Wen remnants, she acts like she doesn’t care about them, that she’s been using them as experiments, and that she’s regretful the only ones left of her once mighty sect was her useless soft-hearted brother and her weak non-cultivator relatives. No matter, with the seal she plans to revive her REAL FAMILY (nvm that’s not how the seal works).

(4/4) The cultivation world is all pity and sympathy towards the poor misguided Yiling patriarch now. They hope he would recover from that Wen dog’s brainwashing soon, even as WWX cries and scream in LWJ’s (or JC’s) arms, struggling to reach WQ at her execution.
