ummm so I read this in one of the posts in the main tag

in the original plot there was going to be a diamond scene where Ethan is helpling mc to overcome her traumatic experience. it's where mc shows the signs of ptsd for the first (and only) time

Ethan would be the only option to talk about this... not your LI, only Ethan 💀

like what, Ethan is a professional therapist now? why would mc talk to him about it if he's not their LI?

I really don't understand why pb even wrote this to begin with, what where they thinking

the entitlement and hypocrisy that i have been seeing ever since oph came back from hiatus.. did some of y'all just collectively forget about uhh...

this trainwreck of backlash that happened after people were justifiably angry and called out PB's (racist) plot that was going to kill off rafael after having sidelined him for the entire series........ calling people "whiny" for uhh .. calling out racism??? and now y'all are being whiny about ... Guys... is it really necessary to bully PB again? Is it really worth another hiatus. I’ll agree with the fact that none of the Ll routes make any sense now, not just Ethan’s. But is it really worth asking for the old version of Open Heart when Rafael literally dies in it? I’m sorry, but no.

PB has collectively messed up Open Heart, and the only reason I’m still playing is with the blind faith that we’ll get the ILY next week. The book’s about to end, so is it really worth asking PB for the old version, especially when we definitely won’t be getting it, and a Ll gets completely written out.

Can we all just try to enjoy whatever crumbs we’re all getting at this point, and hope that PB doesn’t completely screw up book 3? Book 2 is about to end, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

And to the Ethan stans who actually want the old version, just think about what you’re asking for. Nothing is worth an actual Ll dying, not more development with Ethan, not the date night, nothing. Please keep that in mind before wanting to spam PB for the old version. We’ve all paid diamonds for him, and we’re being let down. But asking PB to fix their mistakes, and asking for the old version are two completely different things. Keep that in mind.

Ethan has always been a slow burn. His behavior after the rewrite is very on brand. 

PB has this formula when writing series. Look at Bloodbound, HSS and HSSCA, the freshman series, TE. the first two books the MC doesn’t become official with their LI until the very last chapter. Since we know that OPH has a third book coming out, we may get the official convo next chapter, or somewhere in book 3.

But you guys writing PB and saying that Ethan fans deserve better, is so embarrassing. Why are you guys so entitled? 

And I would have just ignored it if it was one post, but it’s like the tag is filled with people whining about the rewrite messing up Ethan. Like get over yourself.

Like yall didn’t have this energy with the racist crab PB has been doing, or when they were going to kill Raf off, but just because they cut the date night and actually tried to balance out screen time, now yall want to riot. Get over yourselves.

Honestly sometimes I wish that instead of giving us a sister (who’s race changes with us) they would just gave their faces for MC. I mean not all book needs a sister and then we could have new faces for once. Or they could do at least one new face per book, because the new one in RT is absolutely beautiful.

One thing I love about TF series (except maybe the junior) and HSS is that you still get a story with substance even when you're not spending diamonds.

A lot of books barely make sense when you're doing broke playthroughs. Backstories and explanations are often paywalled. And a lot of dialogues/scenes guilt trip you later on for not spending diamonds.

You know what? Jackie and Bryce deserve way better than this. This option is clearly a cashgrab and a way to try to shock players using the excuse of "what happens in Vegas" but it's so out of character for both of them, especially at this point in the story. I'm honestly so disappointed at the writers

With the option of that scene, PB has butchered the characterisation of both Jackie and Bryce, and MC😩

I mean, was it really worth it to have a threesome with two characters who have a hella lot of chemistry with MC, but nothing whatsoever with each other?😭 It just- IT MAKES NO SENSE!! THIS ISN’T BLOODBOUND OR QUEEN B FOR HORNY STUFF LIKE THIS😭😭😭😭 I mean, Open Heart has one of the strongest emotional bonds in regards to Lls, and it’s practically the only book that’s recently been releasing where the Ll actually cares about MC (except for Queen Zoey obviously, and MTFL comprises of high schoolers). All this lusty and horny stuff- it just doesn’t sit right in OH😔

one thing that they barely give us an opportunity to see our LIs at all but now they're fetishising them and making them seem not committed. what's next?? the option between an engagement scene with Ramsey and an orgy with all the other LIs (because who cares about those 😑😤)

Everyone saying “oh, but the scene in OH isn’t that bad”, maybe not, but it’s so ooc. Just imagine we had a scene like that in, let’s say, Endless Summer with Estela and Jake, two characters that show no chemistry with one another. If that sounds like a bad idea to you, imagine how that scene came to the OH players. It makes no sense.

I really wish choices would hire new writers because the quality has gone way down. I find myself replaying the old books and not even interested in replaying any of their newer stuff.

Like they completely ruined every character in TRR/TRH

and all of these tours where time and time again, MC has to prove herself to a bunch of ungrateful nobels. And the fact that the white women can get away with basically anything while the lone black women has been written so the fandom can't sympathize with her is another frustration.

TRR was my favorite book and I was on board for 100 books. Now I just wish they end it and not even finish this book because it's clear that the writers have absolutely no idea where the plot is going.
